  1. 1. After the 2006 season his contract was set to expire and Tennessee had no intention of re-sgined him so he resigned a month before it was to expire. The Titans had gone 4-12 the year before but improved to 8-8 in his last year with VY going 8-5 as a starter and looking like the answer. But it still couldn't save his job. 2. He spent his two-year hiatus working for ESPN as an analyst. I guess he just wanted to re-charge his batteries and come back full steam ahead.
  2. The fullback is a dying breed in the NFL and it's not right. When LT was running all over people Neal was paving his way. In Priest Holmes' heyday Richardson was paving his way. I know OCs like to put in another WR or TE in the formation instead of the FB, but I think we should look to have our guys run behind a FB. The yards would absolutely pile up.
  3. We should look to grab a WR via free agency, but I'm not on board with dropping a lot on one. As for Furrey, I think Clayton and Reggie Williams are better options.
  4. Love it. He deserves it and hopefully the exposure will get him more respect and recognition around the league.
  5. Good bless your Insider status. Maybin and Orakpo are the only true blue-chippers here. Brown's close. Maybin's lack of weight is red flag, if he was 250-260lbs he'd be a top-3 pick.
  6. From day one of the offseason I've felt the Bills would be best served by signing Greer and keeping McGee but not re-signing him. This allows us to have depth and gives us options at CB as McKelvin continues his development. If Greer is sincere in that he would prefer to stay in Buffalo then he can certainly be had for a reasonable price. Sign him.
  7. I really like this trade scenario. While unlikely it certainly seems plausable. The idea of having three high picks in close proximity is great, it would mean a quick picking of three guys that figure to fill needs.
  8. In an offseason of bad decisions regarding coaches this appears to be a bright spot.
  9. Hmmm, that's a thinker. But I'm sure it has nothing to do with him being very experienced; with a 13-year stint as GM of the Titans; drafting Steve McNair, Eddie George and Jevon Kearse; corner-stones of the franchise, one that went to the Super Bowl, losing only by an inch; being around football for a long time as a player, coach and GM. Who would want that? The Patriots only hire retards to run their FO and coaching staff. Oh wait, no that's us.
  10. Interesting question. Team Donahoe would win IMO, but that's not saying much because our current regime is considerably worse.
  11. I feel the same way. When I watched that special on America's Game "The Lost Rings" I kept praying it would make it through. One of these days it will, I just know it.
  12. They played Whitner at SS, FS and nickel. That is not good for his development. Now I'm not saying he's a freaking stud, but I'm not ready to give up on him yet. A legit, rangy FS allows him to play a little closer to the line, assisting in run support while covering the short to medium pass game. Also, to answer your questions: Antoine Bethea plays next to Sanders and made the Pro Bowl last year. Antrel Rolle plays beside Wilson and has made strides after switching from CB. Ryan Clark plays next to Polamalu and had a couple of huge hits, including the hit on Welker. Eat it.
  13. You talking about the NFL Network's Super Bowl recaps? Also, PTI gave a shout out, wishing us and Scott Norwood a happy anniversary.
  14. Floyd Reese is a very good personnel man. And we get to stand by as our divisional opponents fortify their FOs and coaching staffs with qualified people. Yay Bills.
  15. We should bring in the Browns kicker who nailed a 56-yarder in mid-November right before our very eyes.
  16. Put a FS with range and play-making ability next to him and let Whitner just play SS and watch what happens.
  17. Two guys nobody's ever heard of. Wow.
  18. Everyone with a keyboard and internet access is qualified to be a GM.
  19. lol, more for me!
  20. I miss Fletch. But he just wanted too much money. I knew he'd still be good but we just couldn't justify it.
  21. I thought about posting this when I read it this morning. The one guy had over 100 concussions. That is not right.
  22. I would give him a billion dollars for the team if I had it.
  23. Yeah, the trade talks have been silly. I think people are just at their witts end with this team, the staff and FO was retained so they've turned their attention to the players. We all want the same thing, though: Success, a winning record, playoffs, consistency. It's getting frustrating.
  24. Yup. Tomlin is still very young and he will get better. He has made lots of great decisions and his players play hard for him. He had the sense to retain LeBeau and not implement his 4-3 defense. And I do believe I heard that he is the youngest coach to coach in a Super Bowl. That should tell you something right there. And the fact that he beat out Whisenhunt and Grimm for the job tells you something too. He just coached his team to the Super Bowl. I'm jealous.
