  1. We as Bills fans need to pray to God that they get a new CBA before the 2010 season. The NFLPA has said that if they don't and 2010 is an uncapped year, that they will never agree to a cap again. This would spell the end of small market franchises and severely limit our ability to compete. Jones would turn the Cowboys into the NFL's version of MLB's Yankees.
  2. I'm quite surprised that neither Reed nor Carter got in. I fugured with two big-time WRs that one of them would've gotten in. Reed's time will come.
  3. Let's not forget Saun King and Luke McCown!
  4. Also, it is absolute b.s. that the Super Bowl is only played in hot weather or domes. Play a game outisde, further north, who cares if it's cold you panzies. Stop sugar-coating it for girls. If most people can live their lives in the cold why can't they play one football game in it. I mean, c'mon, it's cold today here in southern Ontario, but guess what? I won't die if I go outside.
  5. There are a lot of issues to be discussed. But my big issue is the rookies. I am so sick of the holdouts and the absurd contracts these unprovens get. They haven't done squat and most of them bust anyway. It's like winning the lottery for some of them and it's not right. It pisses of veterans and it takes away from the money/contracts that should be goiing to the established players who are known commodities. The NFL needs to copy the NBA and have pre-determined salaries for each and every draft pick. No more fuss, no more holdouts, no more complaints. Frankly, I don't see how this won't come to fruition: I'm sure the owners would rather not pay these exorborant sums to rookies; and I'm sure the NFLPA would rather see their guys get more money than these college guys.
  6. Of course making pro bowls changes what you make. It means fans and peers recognize you as an elite player who produces. But this is an irrelevant thread because Lynch is not set to be a free agent for three more years still. Also, he's being paid a hell of a lot more than Peters is.
  7. With Q missing 4 games due to injury, Breaston was the number two WR quite a bit. He even played the two spot in certain situations. Also, he's not a rookie, this is his second season. It's also kinda funny that a guy who's avatar has breasts in it can't spell Breaston right.
  8. I think Johnson is going to absolutely bust. Great size, speed, athleticism. But where's the production? I will be very upset if we take him. I'd hope that it would turn out well, but just say no to Michael Johnson.
  9. While I'm reluctant to post in a skooby thread, you build franchises by starting with a QB. Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, and Carson Palmer are all worthy choices.
  10. loose? keeping Dick? There's a bad joke in there somewhere.
  11. lol, it's a meaningless preseason game. Which means we'll probably win it.
  12. Holy crap. Where do you get your pot?
  13. lol, nice. Sorry Troy, this is very much old news.
  14. Just say no to Bryant Johnson.
  15. Clearly everyone thinks he's an arse. But in regards to Rice, yeah he go hurt and then cut. But if he could still pile up sacks he wouldn't of, he couldn't still "go to war." That's why he couldn't get on anywhere else. Rice isn't one to talk neither. The way he left Arizona.
  16. I've read multiple reports that say Jerry's frame is maxed out and he has little to no room for any more bulk. A guy who's in shape says he cares about his fitness and is dedicated to his craft. In college you can get by on just raw talent, but in the pros you need to have a great work ethic and commitment to go along with it.
  17. That's a bit much, IMO. Highlights of the best old games is enough. Besides, it would take away from Jamie Dukes' face time. Man I hate that guy.
  18. VY won offensive rookie of the year, made the playoffs the next and then went depressed/suicidal the next one after. I don't think VY has busted yet. He'll get another shot. Collins is no spring chicken.
  19. What a question. I'm going with none. He took over a 9-7 team, regressed them to 7-9 and failed to improve the next two seasons. EDIT: oops, they went 9-7 then 5-11. My bad.
  20. We may have to bring your sexuality into question here. I'm just kidding. Obviously your body type will depend on the position you play but fitness is as important as anything in football. You want guys who are in shape so as to avoid injury and maintain high levels of play as games and the season wears on. OLB is one of our needs and with top prospect Curry likely to be gone you have to like Cushing's size and USC pedigree. Although I'm not advocating we take him at 11.
  21. I think Lynch is definately a top-5 back. My unofficial rankings: 1. Adrian Peterson 2. Michael Turner 3. Marshawn Lynch 4. DeAngelo Williams 5. Steven Jackson LT is bumped because of a bad year and I think he's done. His body doesn't have anything left.
  22. No, he signed a 3-year extension last offseason. But if we still need a TE in 2011, which we probably will , we can look his way. Reliable pass catcher. I suppose he could be had via trade with Greg Olsen emerging as a good TE.
  23. Cool question. Do I get bonus points for living in another country? I live in Canada, but only a 40 minute drive away (70 minutes on game day (damn you peace bridge)).
