  1. I'm going with Trent on offense. He's got targets everywhere. Lee won't be doubled, T.O. will be T.O., Reed is back in the slot (where he belongs) and we've got a possible dynamo at tight end. Throw in a capable backfield and all-or-nothing guys like Parrish and Stevie Johnson and you've got yourself the makings of a scary-good offense. The line will need to step it up, but I honestly think they'll get the job done. Especially if Trent learns to get rid of the ball a little faster and not take any nasy hits. On defense, I'm going with Terence McGee. He's one of the highest rated corners in the league and nobody wants to throw to his side of the field. McKelvin showed us a glimpse of what he is capable of last season and that will only lead to more passes attempted against McGee. I think he has a career year with both picks and defensive TD's.
  2. Jackson has proved to be a good player who can be trusted in a pinch. That alone should earn him a multi-year contract. He's not going to command anything crazy. We could probably get him for 3-4 years and $2.5 million. That's not a crazy number and I doubt you'd hear him complain about it.
  3. I like Grossman as a backup/emergency starter. He's got experience and he's played in crappy weather. I also like Ryan Fitzpatrick as a backup. Edit: Looks like you can cross David Carr off of that list. He just re-upped with the Giants for 1 year/$1 mil. - PFT
  4. I'm looking to download the Bills Shout Song. I just don't know where to get it from. Does anyone have it on MP3? If so, please let me know where I can get it from. Thanks. Go Bills!
  5. I'm listening to ESPN's Football Today podcast. One of the guys on the show just said that he thinks that the Titans are a better team with Kerry Collins under center. I couldn't agree more. Young is a bust. I've never liked him and I'm sad to see that he's injured. I would much rather see him get benched for sucking, not due to injury.
  6. I saw that earlier. I can't believe that a "pro" quarterback would even think about pulling himself out of the game. With all that athleticism, it's amazing to hear that he has no heart.
  7. I'm a big fan of JP. Obviously, he's unhappy with being a backup. I'd like to see him go to a team that will give him a chance to shine. He could play the rest of this season for the Pats and then other teams would have a chance to see what he's capable of and sign him after the season. No, I don't want to leave our team lacking QB depth, I just think that we should try and get something for him rather than letting him walk for free once his contract is up. This isn't a "serious" post. Obviously I'm speculating/hoping/kickin'-it-around. No need to call me a moron (that's for you, Pete.) Stop crying. If you don't like the idea, don't post a reply. Be happy, dude. The Bills won.
  8. I say we offer JP in a trade to New England for a high draft pick. In there desperate situation, they might be willing to part with next year's 2nd rounder. Could you imagine him throwing bombs to Randy Freakin' Moss? That would be ridiculous. What do you guys think?
  9. I can't think of a player on the Bills that I'm looking forward to seeing more than Whitner this year. This guy is really making himself the face of the franchise. I think that he knows that this team is ready to make some noise in the playoffs and he is not shy about speaking his mind. Every tme I see Bills-ralated news it has a good quote from him in it. He has been talking the talk and walking the walk. I know some fans skewered him for his playoff guarantee, but I commend him for it. I think we are all going to be shocked at how well Whitner plays this year and how he leads this defense. I'm taking a page out of Donte's book and I'm guaranteeing that Whitner makes the Pro Bowl this season. Can't wait for the season to start... Go Bills!
  10. I agree with Lombardi about the "dyanamic offense" statement. This is the first time in years that we've even had a chance to considered dynamic. DJ is not an offensive juggernaut kind of coach, but the big-play ability is there this year. Just because the team doesn't go out there like the Greatest Show on Turf, doesn't mean that the offense isn't light-years better than it has been the last 5 seasons. It's nice to have the ability to open the offense up if need be. In the past, there was no real offense to open up.
  11. I was going to say the same thing. Check out this article on PFT.com: LINK This portion is especially key: "Though the NFLPA advised agents representing first-round and second-round players to wait until the issue is resolved before signing contracts, Redskins receiver Malcolm Kelly inked a deal that includes a fourth-year salary that is guaranteed for injury only." This year is different from every other year when it comes to signing draft picks. The looming uncapped year is making everyone wait even longer to get down to business.
  12. I live on Long Island so every home game is a "road trip" for me. I'll be in Buffalo for at least 4 games: Seahawks, Jets, Browns, San Francisco I'll be at Giants Stadium for the other Jets game. I'm hoping to go to Jacksonville for the Jags game but I'm not sure yet.
  13. I can't believe that Trent is so generous that he loans out his DVD's when he's not watching them! JP didn't do that. He just cleaned up a few streets in Buffalo...This just proves what we all know: Trent is way better!
  14. Actually his first name was something like Tsimanga...they shortened it to Tim. I know it sounds a little juvenile but Sam Gash had a great name. Takeo Spikes is pretty hard to beat too.
