With 4 teams, how about a little distiction in the uni's? Had to watch it online (maybe it was different on TV but) when 4 or 5 players got bunched together on a long (camera) shot, it was hard to tell who was who.

I will check in on it. I've been waiting for an alternative league to succeed since the USFL folded. I think it's a mistake to play during the NFL season though. Ideally they should wrap up before training camps open. I don't even consider the arena league because of the tiny fields.

I caught last night's game from the 8th inning on and I was very glad that I did. I would have liked the Tigers to win because of Jim Leyland's history with the Bison's, but I had no deep routing interest. Having said that, it was a fascinating ballgame. I think that the problem with baseball is that the season is too long. In this day and age the 162 game schedule is irrelevant. There was a time in this country when baseball truly was the nation's pastime. But that was when rotary phones were all the rage.

First, during all of the criticism, I don't think anyone attacks Dick personally. It's a widely held belief that as a person Dick seems to be a nice guy. Second, I think you are ignoring the fact that early on Dick had a huge say in shaping HIS football team. Dick wanted the Tampa-2. Dick wanted fast and lightweight D-linemen. Dick wanted to acquire Db's through the draft and Dick got what he wanted. Dick chooses to run soft training camps. For four years he has been unsuccessful and it wasn't because of some kind of structure that was forced upon him.

L.E. is making $9 mil. this season. T.O. $6.5 mil. That's roughly $1 million per game for those 2 players. This season they have a combined total of 18 catches and 2 Td's. That's roughly $250,000.00 per reception and $2 million per touchdown. Great work, if you can get it.
