The Gran Torino Baby! Huggy Bear says Dick blows!!!
-
Don't take any chances. Drink your fill while you're here... There are several good reasons for drinking and one has just entered my head. If a man can't drink when he's living, then how the heck can he drink when he's dead
-
Why would anyone want to get rid of Jauron anyway. He's a great guy and the players love him. Even Marv Levy said that Dick is the right man to turn this thing around. Just have some patience. Belichick didn't exactly come flying out of the gates as a HC. Cut the guy some slack, GEEEEEZE!
-
Can't answer that one, but I'm pretty sure that

If he wasn't fired after being solely responsible for Cleveland's only 2 wins in their last 17 games, he's not going to be fired now. 1-7 record in his last 8 home games. Pretty sweet. Keep up the great work Dick. Meanwhile, Ralph Wilson thinks that everything is peachy because two guys at the pancake house told him that they got his back. By the way, do you remember Vera Lynn? Remember how she said that we would meet again, some sunny day?

I've got two questions: Number 1 ... What in the world ever became of sweet Jane? She lost her sparkle, you know she isn't the same Livin' on reds, vitamin C, and cocaine, All a friend can say is "Ain't it a shame?" Number 2 ... Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn? Remember how she said that We would meet again Some sunny day? Vera! Vera! What has become of you? Does anybody else in here Feel the way I do?

Just got home from Bruce Springsteen concert

My thoughts exactly, it was way beyond my expectations. As billsfan89 said, for 60 years old, he really brings it. Definitely gives the crowd their money's worth. Speaking of money's worth... I know that it's like this everywhere, but worth mentioning. Beer vendors at the stadium. Budweiser or Miller products in 16 oz. plastic bottles on ice, $8.00 each What the ?!?! I asked the girl if it comes with a kiss because I'm used to getting kissed before I get screwed. The two girls behind the counter and aisle attendant got a good laugh out of that one. Of course throughout the show I came back for three more. . $36 dollars for 4 miller lites. I tipped a buck every time. I figure wtf might as well make it $9. -
I met my old lover On the street last night She seemed so glad to see me I just smiled And we talked about some old times And we drank ourselves some beers Still crazy afler all these years Oh, still crazy after all these years I'm not the kind of man Who tends to socialize I seem to lean on Old familiar ways And I ain't no fool for love songs That whisper in my ears Still crazy afler all these years Oh, still crazy after all these years Four in the morning Crapped out, yawning Longing my life a--way I'll never worry Why should i? It's all gonna fade Now I sit by my window And I watch the cars I fear I'll do some damage One fine day But I would not be convicted By a jury of my peers Still crazy after all these years Oh, still crazy Still crazy Still crazy after all these years

No, this is the end.

Just got home from Bruce Springsteen concert

Don't want to get this thread bounced to PPP, but Bruce is pretty much my wife's favorite singer from the time she was a teenager. She was very put off by his support of Obama and was leery that he would speak on political issues in concert. Other than touching on how badly some people have been affected by the recession, he didn't say anything political. He did have a campaign going to support local food banks. Through the media ahead of time people were asked to bring canned goods or cash donations and they were accepted at the entrances. You got a "end hunger" wristband if you donated. -
Just got home from Bruce Springsteen concert

He has been highlighting albums at different cities. In Charlotte he played every song from the Born To Run album. He seems to be doing a good job of mixing up the set list from city to city. -
The T.O. experiment has been a big bust football wise. It has been a success marketing wise. T.O. Doesn't seem to try to catch any passes that aren't thrown directly into his hands and then when they are, he drops half of them. What a disappointment. The time to move T.O. was by the trade deadline. We probably could have (in addition to dumping a major portion of his salary) gotten something in the area of a 4th rounder for him. Baltimore (who he snubbed before landing in Philly) was rumoured to be interested in him. Now were stuck with an apparently unmotivated prima donna.

Sounds like the same type of people that would loyally support an inferior football organization year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after...

Here's the set list from last night's show: November 3, 2009 Charlotte, NC Time Warner Cable Arena Seeds Darlington County Hungry Heart Working On A Dream Thunder Road Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out Night Backstreets Born To Run She's The One Meeting Across The River Jungleland Waiting On A Sunny Day I Fought The Law - Cover by Bobby Fuller Sherry Darling So Young And In Love Brown Eyed Girl - Cover by Van Morrison Lonesome Day The Rising Badlands Hard Times - Cover by Stephen C Foster 1854 Bobby Jean American Land Dancing In The Dark Rosalita Higher & Higher - Cover by Jackie Wilson Again, I can't say enough about how impressed I was with BS & The ESB. The man is a consummate professional and completely unpretentious. He began his encore by speaking about how difficult the economy is around the country right now with record high unemployment and home foreclosures before breaking into a song from 1854 called " Hard Times Come Again No More". I found that to be both classy and inspirational. Let us pause in life's pleasures and count its many tears, While we all sup sorrow with the poor; There's a song that will linger forever in our ears; Oh Hard times come again no more. Chorus: Tis the song, the sigh of the weary, Hard Times, hard times, come again no more Many days you have lingered around my cabin door; Oh hard times come again no more. While we seek mirth and beauty and music light and gay, There are frail forms fainting at the door; Though their voices are silent, their pleading looks will say Oh hard times come again no more. (Chorus) There's a pale drooping maiden who toils her life away, With a worn heart whose better days are o'er: Though her voice would be merry, 'tis sighing all the day, Oh hard times come again no more. (Chorus) Tis a sigh that is wafted across the troubled wave, Tis a wail that is heard upon the shore Tis a dirge that is murmured around the lowly grave Oh hard times come again no more. (Chorus) -
website. Bought the wife tickets to Bruce a month 1/2 ago for our anniversary. She's a very big Bruce Springsteen fan. I know all of his popular songs from the radio and would consider myself a casual fan. I've got to say that I was extremely impressed with the high energy, high effort, and high quality performance that Bruce and the E-Street band put on. It was 3 solid hours of great Rock-n-Roll. It's obvious that Bruce takes nothing for granted and pours 100% into his performance. As a veteran concert goer, I have no problem proclaiming that this is one of the best shows that I've ever attended. BS & The E Street Band will be in Buffalo on Nov.22. If you have even a casual interest in his music, I suggest you pick up some tickets.

What's Our FO's Dumbest Move of the 2000's
BLZFAN4LIFE replied to BB Fan 4 LIFE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great minds think alike. I was just pondering all of the FO mistakes and I narrowed it down to the top of the '06 draft. Marv really set this franchise back with that one. They wouldn't even consider Ngata or Bunkley because they didn't fit the system , then they declined offers to trade down and gain picks. Denver (who wanted Cutler) and Philly made offers to trade up to 8. We could have still taken DW at 15 and had an additional 2nd round pick. Then Marv pulls the mind boggling move of trading up for McCargo. By all reports, we didn't have to go anywhere to get JM. In those two picks (not even mentioning how bad the selections themselves were) Marv completely threw a second and a third round pick out the window when this team desperately needed prospects. -
Put it on the Underhill's bill.

Why won't Dick fall on the sword
BLZFAN4LIFE replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tired responses like this are as emotionless as his coaching style. This is Dick's way of giving the media and fans the finger. He doesn't mean a word of it and realizes that he either has job security or a golden parachute. He will never resign because he LOVES "playing" head coach. Dick would gladly stroll out and accept the blame every week throughout two 0-16 seasons if that's what it comes down to. -
Bills have "special needs"
BLZFAN4LIFE replied to Frit0 Bandit0's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey! They're headed in the right direction. They just have to make a few improvements. They'll study the film and get back to work on Tuesday. Dick is the right man for the job, all you need is patience. Marv said so! -
Now prepare for Dr. Jelly Finger.

Has anybody actually seen/experienced something paranormal?
BLZFAN4LIFE replied to RayFinkle's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I witnessed a sunglasses wearing zombie roaming the Bills sideline today. Very disturbing. -
It's a good thing that we don't need Dockery, Walker, or Peters.
