  1. In the spirit of the Super Bowl halftime show I say... Meet the new boss same as the old boss. And we (at least I) won't be fooled again!
  2. That's good to know. I've done a lot of painting, but have noticed that ceilings can be very difficult, especially when sunlight hits them. Do you have any other tips for ceilings? i.e. techniques, spray vs. roll???
  3. You're putting a lot of faith in people who had to assemble a coaching staff and came up with Chan Gailey, George Edwards, and Curtis Modkins!
  4. You have to admire those guys! D - "We've got cigars, now you wanna have a drink?" J - "Don't you think it's a little early Dave?" D - "For drinks?" J - "For stupid questions!"
  5. Click me.
  6. Your two minutes in first place is up, sucker!
  7. You tell me. I'm all ears.
  8. Good call. Probably not popular enough though.
  9. The first two people I spoke to this morning both had the same comment, "what a boring game". I didn't think so. I had no strong rooting interest. No money on the game. I would have liked the Colts to win for Bill Polian's sake but in the end I was happy for the Saints and their long-suffering fan base. The game was close and we were looking down the barrel of overtime. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and the gimmick-free broadcast.
  10. That is a pet peeve of mine. Crayonz will have a good thread going with a couple of suckers on the line and inevitably, someone steps in and ruins it. Can't you just sit back and enjoy the show?
  11. There are times though, where HD can be a curse, Depending on who you're looking at. Unrelated comment - Are those some tiny ass ears on Jim Caldwell or what??? Pic
  12. Haven't you learned not to RUIN a crayonz post yet?
  13. That's the way I see it too. I was just thinking that it must have sucked to have been one of the players down on the ground looking up at the presentation. The exclusion was unnecessary and much different from the way the NHL handles it.
  14. One more observation - I don't know if it's the NFL or CBS who's responsible, but I found the trophy presentation to be awkward because of the small raised stage. The presenter was practically being mobbed by Saints players trying to touch the trophy as he brings it up to the stage. Then they get it way up there and the stage is enough to hold Nantz, the commish, Saints owner and his wife, Sean Payton along with Brees and a couple of Saints. So there's this exclusive group in a raised stage enjoying the Lombardi Trophy while 50 players and the rest of the coaching staff who contributed to the victory are secluded below like a bunch of unworthy peasants. The way I see it, nix the stage and do the presentation on ground level.
  15. Exactly. McNabb would end up on IR within 6 games behind our current O-line.
  16. I had the exact same thought during the game. It was refreshing and enjoyable that they didn't over-hype the brodcast or include gimmicks. Great job. A couple of observations: -They cut to commercial after the failed 2 point conversion saying "it's a 5 point game" only to come back and have the play overturned. On such a close call, it was inevitable that there would be a review, they jumped the gun by being so definitive. - There was also some confusion when Nance seemed to declare that Greer intercepted Manning in the end zone, only to find out that it was still the Colts ball after the penalty. Other than those minor glitches, it was a very enjoyable "low-key" broadcast.
  17. I wasn't sure which one said that , but yeah, it was priceless.
  18. Janeane Garofalo Rosie O'donnell The world would be a much better place afterward.
  19. Overall an unimpressive performance and a bad decision to hand the halftime show over to a couple of 65 year old "rockers". Here is an unfriendly review of the performance. Not far from the truth. They were very rough from the start. Pinball Wizzard was embarrassing. Does anyone under 25 even know what pinball is? They did improve vocally a little as they warmed up. The special effects/light show really saved their bacon. Without it, the show would have been a total bust.
  20. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?...87818&st=20# Steely Dan: Steely, remind me of this post the next time I'm tempted to listen to your personnel evaluation.
  21. I've been suffering from "last post wins" withdrawal. There was no support group or 12 step program to be found either.
  22. Home for the Super Bowl, that'll be great!
  23. I agree. That big nosed, flat chested, bleached blonde does absolutely nothing for me. Then again, I did just find out that I'm 28% gay.
