  1. 283 (now make that 284) posts and in 5th place, not too shabby. This epic competition requires dedication, perseverance, and tenacity. It is not a struggle for the faint-of-heart. The strong survive, the best succeed, and the weak are chewed up and spit out on a daily basis. I'm in this thing for the long haul, so look out mead107 and double backslash devnull, that light you see at the end of the tunnel is just a freight train coming your way. And damj-615 and theposterformerlyknownassteelydan-583... you guys may want to re-evaluate your existence.
  2. Tiger is participating in the Quail Hollow Championship this week. Coincidentally former porn actress and Woods' mistress, Joslyn James is headlining at the Uptown Cabaret. Story. Pic
  3. Win yet did I? Wrong thread, oh.
  4. Ahhh, the Jauron error, the gift that keeps on giving...
  5. Please give it a rest. "Don't drink the Kool Aid" or "drinking the Kool Aid" Is a commonly used, understood, and acceptable phrase. If you are really this disturbed by it, then you have a pretty serious problem. And telling someone that they have no business posting if they use it, really? I can't stand your font, but you don't see me telling you not to post. BTW, it wasn't even Kool Aid that was used in Guyana, it was Flavor Aid.
  6. Aw come on, don't be so hard on the kid. Sure he'll face some stiff competition, but he will deliver in the end.
  7. What about one that isn't even a fan of his own team?
  8. I was thinking that if Trent has matured personally, he may be able to turn his career around, but you just nailed the bottom line.
  9. The Fanning fascination never fails to provide a chuckle.
  10. Are you saying that he should look into Nutrisystem?
  11. I'm thinking Wang.
  12. That's great, I'm glad to see that they rolled out the red carpet for him. A Sabres playoff game in a box is a little nicer than a trip to Dave-n-Busters. I think that this kid is going to be electrifying the fan base as early as this preseason.
  13. The Gray Man a chilling true story that will stay with you days after watching it.
  14. Wang seems to be a very cool and level-headed guy. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy becomes a starter this season.
  15. Dead on, I'm in complete agreement with you on this one.
  16. That is exactly what i was thinking too. He obviously has talented and driven parents and it's safe to assume that he possesses those characteristics too. I don't think that this kid will be spending his spare time smokin' blunts, packin' 9's, and running down pedestrians while drunk in the wee hours of the morning. This kid could end up being one of the draft's biggest steals.
  17. I'm not satisfied with the qb's on our roster but putting Tebow or Claussen under center would have been disastrous. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that Troup over Cody was the right choice. Saffold fell pretty far so we were probably right in passing on him. I actually like Ed Wang. A 6'-5" 315 pounder with Olympian parents. What's not to like. As for a converted tight end playing LT, haven't we seen that somewhere before? I really believe that as time goes on this draft will convert complainers into believers.
  18. I completely agree with your assessment. I can only add that living down here in ACC country, I can tell you that a lot of people, including former NFL players, are very high on Spiller and his star potential. Hopefully his small size doesn't become a negative for us. I think once the pre-season rolls around, this kid will convert complainers into Billievers.
  19. http://www.buffalonews.com/2010/04/25/1030...ng-project.html The disapproval of Jerry Sullivan is well documented on this board. I have generally supported his point-of-view because over the past ten years, he has been proven correct more often than not. This time I believe Jerry's negativity is unjustified. His main complaint is that we didn't draft a franchise QB. Well Jerry, outside of Sam Bradford who was drafted, um let me see, oh yeah, #1 overall, the consensus opinion was that all of the other prospects were surrounded with question marks. Unfortunately we are a team with several holes to fill. Way too many to address in one draft. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that Troup was the right choice over Cody, but other than that, I think it was an excellent draft considering our needs. Jerry complains about not picking a top qb prospect... while not committing to who or when his selection would have been. Way to leave your second-guessing options open Jerry! You've got to love this, It's the end of April and Jerry's rooting for a top draft pick. Sweet!
  20. That's IT! My gasket is officially blown!
  21. OMFG, if I see Torrell Troup's name spelled with a !@#$ing E at the end of it ONE MORE TIME I am going to BLOW A FREAKING GASKET!!!! It's Troup, T-R-O-U-P. PERIOD. No E. No E. TROUP.
  22. I really like this pick after reading that article.
  23. I saw him listed at 60 and 66 on a couple of "top 100 prospects lists". I was surprised by the pick, but the guy does have a lot of positives including the fact that he anchored the top 5 run defense. Problem is, he was defending teams like South Dakota State. Taking Troup over Mt. Cody will end up being a huge factor in determining Buddy's legacy as GM. We have no choice but to give them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps Buddy/Chan have faith that their new training staff can bulk this kid up to become the anchor of the 3-4. However, if this armchair GM had his way, Haloti Ngata, Brian Orakpo, and Terrence Cody would be wearing the red ribbon.
