I watched a lot of the Indy-Jax game. Anyone who thinks that T.E. can outplay Garrard is high on crack.

During the off season around here the book on Chan Gailey was that he was an offensive-minded genius that made the most out of his roster. Even though his record didn't support those claims. I guess if you repeat something enough, it becomes fact.

I hate that too. I especially noticed Byrd patting Tomlison, all smiles, after a big gain. Later in the first quarter, Byrd walks three yards to offer Tomlison a hand getting up, but LT already had it. WTF is up with that? From the kickoff until the final gun, those guys should be considered your enemy. If you want to go to dinner and a movie after the game, fine. But during the game treat your opponent like the enemy.

Where is the front office at this time? Good question. At a time like this it would be nice to have some accountability, to at least have some signs that upper management is concerned about the team. Buddy Nix was last seen at the MMQB club following our week 1 loss to Miami. Ironically, he spoke about how he wouldn't shirk the tough responsibility of facing the music following losses. Well, 3 losses later, I haven't seen him. And what about Ralph. He promised us a top notch coach and the Superbowl victory "that we deserve". He served up Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey and hasn't been heard from since. Sullivan this morning said that he saw Ralph being helped out of his suite by handlers on each side. At this point I seriously question if Ralph has the capacity to grasp the situation. This franchise is simply pathetic. Those who have faithfully followed this team clearly deserve so much better.

Then ask yourself this, how many of them are starters on a playoff team? I'd say about half of them, mainly from our secondary. This team is in a huge hole personnel-wise.

The very team that just wiped our ass on our home field finished 4-12 three seasons ago. Last year they were in the AFC Championship game and appear to be a lock to go at least that far this season. It all starts at the top.

I actually cahsed in last week by laying 13.5 against the Bills. It was a tough decision which I weighed until the last minute because 13.5 is a big number. I got a pretty good scare in the 2nd quarter but the game played out the way I thought it would and I'm $181.00 richer (risked $200. - vig.) because of it. This week I think I'll take the Bills in a 3 team 10 point teaser and hope that they keep it respectable. BTW I lost a 3 team 10 point teaser last week because of the Cowboys. I had Nebraska and Atlanta Falcons (which both covered easily) then I only needed the Cowboys +1 1/2 at home to cash in. Better luck this week. Any suggestions?

...So my question is...why keep him? If Chan has (correctly) decided that Trent isn't capable, why wouldn't we just release him and bring someone else in? Why would you keep a player on the team once you have determined that he's incapable of being successful?
