That's what I'm talkin' about Big Man. I've taken a lot of heat around here in the past for being negative about the moves that this organization has made. However, I am on record for being against drafting Whitner over Ngata, trading up for McCargo, and taking Maybin over Orakpo. I made these comments AS THEY HAPPENED, not in retrospect. I was greeted with the typical homer B.S. around here. Comments like... -" But he must suck because I never heard of him" - "Then why aren't you an NFL GM" - " Somebody call the wambulance" So many morons that can't see the forest through the trees. I don't think I should be an NFL GM, but I am on record for calling this organization out on the mistakes they have made AS THEY HAPPENED. While I'm at it I will also admit that my current account is my second go-around at TSW because my first account which dated back to '05 was cancelled due to "crusading" against J.P. Losman. I was Waaay ahead of the curve on this guy and would have pulled the plug on him after we lost 20-17 in Detroit on 10/15/06. I continued to be a pariah around here as the company line was arguments like... - "Losman is the 16th ranked qb in the league" - "Losman needs time to develop" - " even though he's been in the league for three years, he's technically a rookie" So my account was terminated. HOW DID MY ASSESSMENT TURN OUT? I suppose the bottom line is that common sense is not so common and wisdom, clarity of thought, and a high I.Q. should be considered a blessing.

I tune in from time to time via Al Gore's great invention and sometimes listen to archived segments. But their lineup has to be one of the worst in the entire nation and that is not hyperbole. Howard Simon and Jeremy White are two intellectually challenged conceited punks. Are there threads like this on the Redskins message board? They finished 4-12 last season. the season before that 8-8. They acquired one of the best coaches available who then acquired one of the best qb's available and voila! They are now 3-2 and in the lead of a division which is almost as tough as ours. This year DIDN"T have to happen. It's just a case of garbage in garbage out.

Might want to add: Orakpo - 10 tackles 4 asst. 2 sacks. 13 career sacks, he was there for the taking, but we had to have Maybin.

Another thing that bothered me (minor but noteworthy) Is Nix pointing out how other teams are struggling too. After week 1 he told the MMQBC (paraphrasing) that we are doing the same thing that 15 other teams are doing, we are searching for answers. In this last 7 minute presser he said "anybody that's 0-4 or 1-3 are doing the same thing we're doing..." Buddy, I don't give a rats ass if there are other struggling teams. I don't follow the Raiders or Browns and you are not their GM. And at the rate you're going the group that you are keeping company with will grow smaller and smaller each week.

I agree with what you're saying here. I would also like to point out an example of Nix talking out of both sides of his mouth yesterday. On one hand he says that accepting losing isn't tolerable then he goes on to say that his plan to turn things around is "not a speedy" but "painful" route. Doesn't that mean that Buddy himself is prepared to deal with losing for at least a couple of seasons? And I'm so sick of the lowered expectations that this organization and so many of its fans aspire to. The goal shouldn't be "to get this thing turned around" or "to get on track". The goal should be to do what it takes to field a division champion. That's how you make the playoffs, BY WINNING YOUR DIVISION. Is there anyone from the "sunshine and lollipops" gang that can tell me how they expect to win this division under this current regime? The Patriots are entrenched at the top and they have two picks in each of the first four rounds of next year's draft. How are you going to catch them by employing the "not speedy but painful" method? Both the Jets and Dolphins have backups that would be starters on our team. This franchise is woefully inept and it's just a shame. A shame and a sham.
