How do you go about "looking up that Peters is both really good and sporadic"?

I took it that you're saying... If the Bills win, then these FO issues don't matter. I'm just pointing out that the Patriots can get away with a lot more because they are successful. Players want to stay on the team and FA's want to go there. When you have a track record like the Bills, you can't afford to get a bad reputation with players / agents or you won't be able to keep or get great players.

Very good point but there's a little difference between players wanting to be a part of a perennial division winner that has a good chance of winning the Superbowl and a team that hasn't seen the playoffs in 9 years.

He han't proven that he requires double teaming. We'll see on Sunday. I'll keep a close eye on #99. In preseason he's been closer to a bust than a savior.

Good news for the Bills. We'll need all the help we can get to beat a team that is looking to make the playoffs for the 6th straight year.

My advice to you: 1.Learn to read. 2. Get a piece. 3. Ease up on the attitude. (#2 should help with that) I did say that I liked the way the new O looked. I wish our second year starter in a new O would have gotten more than 31 snaps though. Stroud did not look good. He generated absolutely no pass rush and was handled one on one all the time. I just hope that he was coasting through the PS in order to stay healthy. That is a possibility and the success of this team in the regular season depends greatly on how this one player performs. Are you kidding with Steve Johnson and Reggie Corner? Johnson will be lucky to make the team. And what are Johnson and Corner going to do to run and stop the run?

First the positives: Leodis McLovin is one bad a55 return man. He just needs to learn to leave punts inside the 10 alone. James Hardy is an awesome addition. It appears that we will see much better play calling/formations out of the O this season. Now the negatives: Marv said it best. Run and stop the run. Has this team shown in preseason that it has improved in either area over last years team that finished in the bottom of the league in both areas? I think not. Stroud has not demonstrated that he is still a pro-bowler and McCargo has proved that he is a certifiable porch dog. The O-line desperately needs a healthy Jason Peters. They couldn't run block their way out of a wet paper sack. OBVIOUSLY it was just preseason, but judging from what I have seen, my optimism has taken a pretty hard hit. With Seattle and Jacksonville on tap, an 0-2 start on the way to 7-9 to 9-7 seems likely. What say you???

Good point. John Fox (Panthers HC) had his starters warm up thinking that they were going to play 1 or 2 series and at the last minute, told them all that they weren't playing.

Great topic SD. Glad to see the return of Jimmy Rockford. My first car was a '73 Oldsmobile Cutlass S. I bought it when I was 15 (in '85) from an elderly neighbor for $500.00. Paid for it with money I earned from a paper route and a weekend cleaning job. I had some great memories with and in that car. Being young and dumb, I killed the transmission by running the fluid bone dry. That lead to a two door '77 Ford ltd. That thing was a Sherman tank. I'd hate to have to fuel that beast today. (good memories in that car too, and much more room than the Cutlass!)

The more likely scenario is... the more playing time he gets, the more JP damages his future value. GM's around the league(if they aren't already convinced) will realize that JP is nothing more than a career backup. Thus when he is a FA next year, this is what other teams will see him as. Not as a guy who can come in and take over the starting role on a successful team.

. Just find it interesting that Beijing is so commonly mispronounced. Especially when the J should sound like the common English J as in jungle, jingle, or jury.
