I really liked David Carradine, one of my favorite films is Circle of Iron from 1978. ~ Quote from the film... Take two birds and tie them together, although they have four wings, they can not fly. Proving that two heads are not always better than one and stressing the importance of individuality and self-reliance. Wonder why a 72 year old man in the middle of filming a movie overseas would decide to do this.

Brilliant! Here are my nominees for offensive and defensive coordinator. CHAMPIONSHIP!

There are more fair weather fan bases than rabid ones. The Bills belong at the top for feverishly supporting mediocrity. When the going gets tough for other franchises, the fan base disappears. Bills fans are there selling out and rooting their team on through thick and thin. Anyone paying attention knows that the Bills fans are a shoe-in for top 5.

Are you serious?

He could be kissing up for a job. He did say that he's keeping in shape in case training camp/preseason injuries create an opportunity for him to come back.

Linkay Winkay. I guess I'll take #8, but Bills fans deserve to be at least top 5, if the writer is well-informed. ... and NO WAY FILLY deserves to be #1 !!!

I saw that too. Ty Law really likes our offense. As we all know, so much will depend on the line.

Bruce Smith names his HOF presenter

Did he name his designated driver? -
I'll take this one. 1) Dick could once again finish 7-9 and Wilson would have 4 million reasons to leave him in place for the sake of "continuity." It would take a total collapse equal to last season's 2-8 finish to finally push Dick out the door. 2) How long have you been a fan of this team. If Ralph does show Dick the door, 4 million dollars of Ralph's money goes with him. Do you seriously think that Ralph will then turn around and pay for a real coach?

Oct 2002 - The story of Dick Jauron "Coward"-gate
BLZFAN4LIFE replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You contradict yourself so much here that it's difficult to decide where to begin. So, we're not as bad as the Chiefs or Lions? Well what about the 1-15 '07 Dolphins that became 11-5? You say it's all about Quarterbacking? So I suppose that Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, and Chad Pennington are elite NFL quarterbacks? Are you really saying that if ONLY Dick Jauron HAD Pennington, Flacco, or Ryan that he could produce a winning record and a playoff team?!?! BAWHAHAHAHA! Good one!!! Try buying a clue before you post again little kitty!!! Is it time for your meds yet??? -

I know, I get it now. I should have seen it at first glance, but in my defense, it's pretty sad that a sarcastic post like that actually resembles the thought process of a lot of posters here. -
What does Singletary offer his players?
BLZFAN4LIFE replied to BLZFAN4LIFE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Singletary didn't finish 7-9. HE TOOK OVER AT 2-5 and went 5-4, A WINNING RECORD! (Which included coming here in week 13 and B word slapping Dick and his troops on their home field.) -
You call that shiit music?

Again, more excuse making and enabling. How long will it continue? Who else needs to pass up the Bills before some of you guys open your eyes? The Chiefs, the Lions, what is it going to take to get some of you people to expect and demand more? -

DUH! The hole in the logic is that a good coach could have gotten more out of his high priced and Pro Bowl linemen. On the defensive side of the line, Dick got what he wanted. It was his mastermind decision to have quick, light weight D-linemen. He had a plan to revolutionize the game (see his introductory press conference). No one to blame but soft, disappointed, Dick Mauron. -

You really put your ignorance on display for all to see with that one. Did you really just diminish the importance of a late season winning streak in the NFL? I would take a 5-4 finish under an interim coach over a 2-8 finish with a proven loser of a head coach anytime. Singletary already has Jauron beat. .555 win % after a partial season. Nice try, thanks for playing. -

So I have to leave my computer for a few hours and come back to find a parade of soft Dick apologists. Don't get me wrong, I bleed Bills blue, but you have to be able to think with your head and not your heart. Dick Jauron should have been banished from the NFL for life following last years shameful collapse. His only salvation was a premature contract extension. There comes a point where a head coach can take it easy on a squad. When you have a successful veteran team and an established system, you can coast, much like Marv did in the "glory years." It's a privilege that you earn, not one that is simply given. I disagree. See Last years Cardinals, Jets(H), Browns, Niners, and Fins(TO) games. There were times where this team looked like they were sleep walking. They were losing and looked like they couldn't care less. Those are the times where someone has to take charge and provide a spark. -

That may just get a good laugh out of them, who knows? -
There has been a lot of debate here recently over why the Bills are stuck on the treadmill of mediocrity. Is it the owner, front office, players, or coaches that should take the blame? There is enough to go around, but I think the lions (or Big Cat's) share falls on the coaching staff and its fearless leader Dick jauron. During the Bills 9 year playoff drought there have been numerous example of franchises turning their fortunes around. Most recently the Ravens, Falcons, and Dolphins proved that rebuilding in the age of parity can be immediate, it doesn't take a decade. That leads me to Singletary and the Niners. SF finished the '07 season at 5-11. Singletary took them over in '08 (after their bye) at 2-5. He coached the team to a 5-4 record which included winning 4 of their last 5 games. So, there you have an example of the same group of players being successfully lead by a different head coach. How did he do it? Attitude, toughness, and accountability. Here's a link to a story about Singletary using hill running to toughen up his players. Meanwhile, Dick makes sure that his boys are comfy and cozy in the climate controlled bubble. I hear next he will be offering manicures and pedicures on-site before and after practice. Another link

Good coaches get the most out of their players. They inspire them, challenge them, and prepare them to be their very best. Dick Jauron sets the bar low with his soft approach to practice and training camp and his eagerness to accept and excuse losses. The problem is not with our players, it's the coaching. These guys are the best of the best and we are in the age of parity. I believe that at least a dozen different coaches could have taken the same roster we had to the playoffs last season. When you hand a bunch of guys over to Fred Rogers, his personality emerges on the field.
