I see it the same way. A veteran playoff team with an established roster can coast through camp. The '09 Bills will have several new starters on both sides of the ball, many of them playing positions that they are not accustomed to. Additionally, the offense will look a lot different with a shuffled line, the addition of T.O., and implementation of the no-huddle. It's not so much about beating the players up as it is about getting needed reps and into sync.

That is probably a factor. Even so, the Titans will report 6 days after the Bills. I suppose it's not as critical for a team with a more stable roster and established system though.

to open training camp. I like to see that. I recall the Bills always being among the last teams to get to camp. Hope the extra work pays off.

I hear ya! Everything has been analyzed and argued and at this point, it's all just speculation. I can't wait to get a look at the '09 Bills. Was Maybin the right pick? How will the new O-line look? What affect will T.O. have on the offense? Will Trent take his game up a notch? How will the front 7 do with Schobel back? Can Dick produce a winning season? After all of the off season additions and subtractions, are the Bills a better team than last season? So many questions and the answers will SOON be forming! Can't wait!!!

That's true and this is going to be a critical season for TE. Is he the mighty slayer of the NFC West or the qb that crapped the bed against SF, Cleveland, and Miami? One thing is sure about Edwards, HE MUST show improvement this season. If we've already seen the best that Trent has to offer, then we're in trouble.
