Also the player drafted @ 10 will be a cap figure of 4-5mill yr. Your guy will cost way more than that and we have other holes to fill as well as sign some of our own (Levitre, Byrd..etc).
See how difficult it is being the GM who actually has to make that pick. Anyone of maybe 5-6 players would be awesome. I went with Jeffery. No way Tannehil makes it to the 2nd round. He's this year's Ponder.
TC how exactly do you pick the 5 players?
Not that anyone has won this over the years, but this year's players seem more difficult.
Version 3.0 (post FA) 4/17/12 10 days predraft
1: Ryan Tannehill QB - Dolphins
2: Michael Floyd WR - Jaguars
3: Courtney Upshaw OLB - Patsies*
4: David DeCastro G - Chiefs
5: Luke Kuechly LB - Seahawks
It was a good piece. It shows what a challenge it will be to stop the front 7.
HE ended with "Bills had a solid pass rush to begin with", clearly he didn't watch many Bills games last year.
Garcon and LLoyd are both listed only at 6 feet even I think Buddy wants a tall 6-4" type.
Also I hope it's not Mincey as he had 5 of his 8 sacks in 2 games vs the colts ( so 3 sacks in the other 14)
Wimbley and Meachum would make me very happy.
Nice Interview!
Too bad we don't have 13 Dareuses on this team. He's Awesome. I haven't bought a jersey in a LOONNGGG time, I may to break down and get his.
Potential, character and effort all rolled into 1.
Of all the stupid cockamamie ideas on this board, this one's not so bad.
Hey at least its not a peyton or a new mock draft thread.
Thanks 4 thinking outside the box.
Plus this kid has a bit of a drinking issue. If he can't control it when he needs to when he's in college how well will he do with millions in his bank account. I think he slides because of this. Talent alone would put him in the top 10.
Even if he is the 'lone dissenter' Nix said he isn't reaching for a DE @ 10. So maybe he is the top DE where the DE's have lower grades than usual this year.
Still silly to trade up for Coples.
Nix has said the Bills will not reach @ 10 for a DE and you want him to trade up? I don't think you and the FO are on the same page. That's proabably a good thing.
Mayock said he wouldn't take him in the 3rd round.
That's my point. By letting the world know they won't reach for a DE @ 10. Therefore, if your team needs a top 3 LT you have to jump to 9 to get one if 2 go into the 1st 8 selections (pretty likely?). Then that would leave us with a CB @ 10 and God knows that will UPSET a very large contigent of Bills fans. Or a reach for a WR.
I like it that he opens up about his thoughts(it keeps the fans updated), but doesn't this hurt them on draft day? If you want OT Martin (seems to be Nix's top rated after Kalil) you will have to trade up to 9 to get him or if you want a DE you will not have to worry about Buffalo taking one. In poker it's better to not show your cards.
Or is this all just a smokescreen? Does Nix even know what a smokescreen is?
Thoughts?
I thought Carrington was drafted to play the 5 technique in the 3-4. Wasn't he listed @ 305lbs last year? He's going to have to drop about 30-40 lbs or learn to play DT?
Troup was supposed to be a perfect fit for a 3-4 nose tackle. I think the switch here to a 43 dt will not be as bad as the switch or change for Carrington.
If Peyton was smart he'd want to go to Denver. Let Tebowie sit for a couple of years and learn how to throw a football.
That would be the best defense he ever played with, + the running game wasn't 1/2 bad either.
Direct tv and our local (Broward & Dade Counties) fox channel contract has not yet been renewed. So unless there is a last minute agreement the game will not be carried by Direct Tv here. One solution is buying a digital converter and rabbit ears. I am going to avoid this as they will proabably get this fixed soon (Maybe not by 4:30 though).
So I'm asking does anyone have an internet link for the fox games this weekend.
Thanks
