First I think Atlanta goes to 1 for Clowney. I think we trade with Houston to 6 to get ahead of Tampa and take Evans. Our 9, 5th and SJ or our 9 and 73. Then Houston could have their pick of qb's @ 9 plus a boatload of other picks from us and Falcons. It costs too much to go any higher than 6.
Hopefully the qb's go early but that doesn't look like the case.
4th OT would be super horrible. Not as bad as picking a kicker but real close. If the draft plays out that way They HAVE TO TAKE EBRON or trade down if possible.
Version 1.0: 4/22/14
1. Johnny Manziel - Oakland Raiders
2. Jadeveon Clowney - Houston Texans
3. Blake Bortles - Arizona Cardinals
4. Khalil Mack - Jacksonville Jags
5. Mike Evans - Tampa Bay Bucs
I think the qb's are going to slide.
Also, Thanks Tomcat for doing this it's always fun.
Version 2.0: with trades
1. Johnny Manziel - Cowboys (qb's slide and Jerruh trades up possibly with Oakland)
2. Jadeveon Clowney - Altlanta (Falcons trade up to 1)
3. Blake Bortles - Arizona Cardinals (Bortles is the wild card anywhere from 8 to 26)
4. Khalil Mack - Jacksonville Jags
5. Mike Evans - Buffalo Bills (Houston slides back 3 spots)
Version 3.0 : 5/8/14
1. Johnny Manziel - Cowboys (qb's slide and Jerruh runs to the podium)
2. Jadeveon Clowney - Houston (they are asking too much in trade)
3. Blake Bortles - Arizona Cardinals (Bortles is the wild card anywhere from 8 to 26)
4. Khalil Mack - Jacksonville Jags
5. Mike Evans - Buffalo Bills (Oakland slides back 4 spots)
I would hate the Lewan pick.
I would loathe the Barr pick (one trick pony as quoted by others)
I wouldn't like the Dix pick (but I understand it's a need)
I could get behind most of the other possible selections in most mock drafts.
I did not have the details just knew he plead guilty. I still am on the Murray bandwagon, plus I think he goes later than 3rd round with than knee of his.
I think overall this is a weak QB class. As was last year. I don't like Mettenberger's sexual battery charge/conviction.
If we're going to wait until the 4th round or later I like Murray if he's available there.
Ok I say he wants to leave because he hates losing (who can blame him) So it has to be a team with potential, money and connections
1) EAGLES: won the division last year, young good QB, RB & coach
2) 6 years
3) Total 68 million
4) 33 guaranteed
I was listening to NFL Sirius last night. They seemed higher on Murray ("has a very live arm but just 6'1") and Metzberger (sp?) than they were on McCarron. They felt the 4th would be too early for AJ McCarron.
The 1st thing I do is give $10,000 to RW personal nurse to smoother him with a pillow to end his and our misery.
The I use the transistion tag on Byrd. Let him and his agent get the best deal they can, I'll match if it's not redonkulous.
Chandler can go as we'll be drafting a stud TE
I like Branch and Carrington for depth.
Keep hogan for camp competitiion.
I like Sanders as well..
I would like to keep carpenter as well. But we maybe outbid for him. He has an amazing year.
Lewis can stay as well as we found out his year you can never have enough QB's. Also Marone will be told to keep 3 on the roster and 1 on the PS (it will be this way as along as I am GM). PLus we will draft 1 every other year
that's a solid start to the offseason.
Wouldn't get more than a 4th so no Thank you. Also Atlanta should be looking @ Gordon in Cleveland. He's more of a Julio than SJ. Plus Roddy White isn't getting any younger. Gordon will cost the Falcons a 2nd rounder. San fran is rumored to kicking the tires, Atlanta needs him more!
Free Sunday ticket and 30.00 off for 12 months. I called on today (9/9/13). the direct phone # to the retention department is 800-824-9081. Keep that # handy for next year.
I e-mailed them 2 weeks ago and they responded back via e-mail with a direct phone # to the retention deptartment. After getting back from vacation, I thought about trying to do this via e-mail. (as I hate haggling on the phone) I requested the CSR to forward that e-mail to the retention dept. I'll let everyone how it goes.
We got a 1st a 4th and a 6th for that lazy fat slob that we shipped to Philly. I would gladly take a little less to relieve ourselves of this whiney biotch
