He is a journeyman QB that has had one of the greatest runs in pro sports for someone with his comparative ability levels to the elite players. Please stop acting like he is going to be anything different than what he has been. A QB that can put up numbers and win games but once teams catch up to him, a QB that doesn't have the physical skills to overcome that.

That's why I said leopards don't change their spots. He is easy to route for and I will.

Fitz always will give away a few games. How do people still think the narrative is going to be different than the other 15 seasons?

It would take some work to look it up, but I don't think he's ever had a defense like this one before, so he might not have to be his bad impersonation of a gun slinger. I get it leopards don't change their spots. I'll be routing for him and WFT this year.

  3. Update. Thanks for all of your thoughts, ideas & tips.

I purchased the car today. I had to find a dealer about 180 miles away (they offered free delivery next week but I went to pickup.) The local dealers all had "Market Adjustments" do to the shortage of this vehicle. I had a TDM coupon (some sort of direct marketing) from the manufacturer. One of the local dealers wouldn't even take it. Other dealers wouldn't even call me back. I'm sure they wanted me show up just to spend 4-6 hours at the dealership.

Patience is definitely a virtue. Plus no car payment for 3+ months was nice.

  4. My good friend called these movies, "remote droppers". Always thought that fit.

Goodfellas to the point I even know the dubbed over cussing, "I thought I told you to go forget your mudda"

Empire Strikes Back, Forrest Gump, CaddyShack, Airplane, Naked Gun, Rocky to name a few.

    Great topic OP.

  5. Roy sits down at his local watering hole to watch a meaningless baseball game. After the 3rd inning Roy noticed a 5-gallon fish tank behind the bar that was ½ filled with 20-dollar bills. Roy inquires with the bartender, who says it’s this month’s contest and it costs $20 to enter.

    Roy: “What’s the contest?”

Bartender: “You have to finish 3 tasks; #1) Drink 20 shots of tequila in 20 minutes #2) Our Rottweiler guard dog has an impacted tooth, you have to pull the tooth #3) Agnes our renter upstairs, she’s 80 with the big C, you need to give her one last ***** before her time expires.”

    Roy: “That’s ridiculous, I’ll pass”

After 2 more beers and 4 boring innings of baseball, Roy slaps his $20 down on the bar. He states, “This will be fun”. The bartender pours the 20 shots. Roy proudly gets them down in 18 minutes.

Roy stumbles out to the patio where the 110 lb Rottweiler is tied up. After 20 minutes of a continuous ruckus consisting of screaming, barking, howling, whining, and wailing and what not.

Roy stumbles back into the bar, his clothes in tatters, bloody, missy his left pinky and asks:

“Now, where is the old lady with the sore tooth?”

Circling back on this IPO stuff...

Funny enough, in the meantime since we posted this both SoFi Bank and Robinhood have added the feature of allowing users to buy-in at the IPO price.

I am little removed from the day to day activities for discount brokerage. I wonder how they are allocating any shares they manage to get? Robinhood's website is vague on the description of allocation. Shocking!

I don't think I've posted this. Discount/Zero commission brokers make money by receiving "payment for order flow". The man behind this wonderful idea. None other than Bernie Madoff. He actually had a very profitable market making business for a very long time.

  7. This topic comes up quite a bit. Someone put together a spread sheet for game day and it includes places to visit. I am terrible at using the search function, maybe someone else can post it.

Another staple is Mighty Taco, I never miss it when I go home. Make sure you visit a good Italian restaurant (if you like it) as these seem different at home than anywhere else (my choices are Chef's, Ilio's or Mulberry Italian Ristorante).

    Have fun.

Going a direction other than “best” IMO, some underrated and underexposed bands of the time period were 54.40

There is a funny story online of 5440 opening for Hootie and the Blowfish where 5440 played "I go Blind" and Hootie's road manager almost kicked 5440 off the stage for covering a Hootie song in their set. He had no idea Hootie had covered the song from them.....

Cornerback and pass-rusher are the only positions I'm willing to trade up for. They're expensive in free agency and worth the investment. If a 3rd round pick can move us up into the early 20s and we can get us Newsome or Farley (though he may fall to us due to injuries) I'm all for it.

I feel like Levi Wallace is ok but an upgrade could walk into the building and be a starter, so I'm in for CB as the 1st pick, especially Newsome.

I worked with a guy who leased a nice Mercedes. He was putting too many miles on and realized it was cheaper to ALSO lease a Camry to cut down on  the Benz miles.  Not sounding like a great deal!  LOL

My SIL has a long time BF who is fairly frugal about most things. Smart guy, but he LOVES his cars. My BIL was with him a couple weeks ago for the niece’s wedding (I didn’t make the cut for mini-wedding in PA due to restrictions, fine with me). The BIL wanted to take his self driving BMW out for a ride. BIL said it was so smooth he wanted to feel it at a higher speeds. Was told it has built in radar detection, go as fast as you want. On a quiet stretch of highway he took it up to 102 mph - with no hands!  THAT would freak me out!

I'm a big believer in that we humans rely on computers/tech for just about everything. Driving might be the last thing I give up to a chip.

Update my good friend (using an auto broker) got his new ILX delivered to his front door, $1400 under sticker and he never talked to this dealer.
