Yeah, I'd like it if they signed him to help with security on game days...he wouldn't take schitt from anybody.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1215463977...ews_us_business Seems to be the eventual outcome for all "family owned" businesses. 75 years is a long time. Wegman's has lasted for over a hundred, so it's possible the Rooneys can keep it going a while longer. Check out the cool slide show, btw (and don't worry, we're not in any of the pics ).

Good Article from Clayton

Yes, nicely done, but how does he not even mention a potentially huge piece of the offensive puzzle, James Hardy? I see JH caught a nice fade pattern TD in the corner of the EZ Thursday. Rookie or not, I think we'll be seeing that play run successfully a lot this year. -
Agreed...that tiptoe sideline catch in the SB was thrilling. One of the first games I ever saw in person was (I think) October 1990 against the Jets. It was one of those brilliant, clear fall days, and the Bills were behind by a TD in the 3rd qtr when Lofton streaked down the left sideline (heading for the tunnel end) with the Jets defender right on his heels. Kelly wound up and let fly a 60 yard rainbow. Time seemed to stand still, but once the ball was in the air Lofton shifted into a higher gear, caught that ball on his outstretched fingertips in full stride, and coasted in for the score. Bills won that game, heh heh. Thinking about it later I realized that all game prior to that, Lofton had been showing him one speed, but saved the afterburners for the money play when they really needed to score. Graceful and canny as hell.

Anyone remember that full-speed, laid-out, over-the-shoulder TD catch in the EZ by Steve Tasker? It was one of those games he started as a wideout, and it made you think...yeah, he might have been a good one at that position. Ha ha, and any TD catch by Butch Rolle was special. They got to be so damn funny cause we all knew it was coming, but, seemingly couldn't be stopped. And I'll give a third vote for Reed's Fourth and Five, sliding TD catch in the EZ in the comeback game. They don't come any more clutch than that.

Hit + Run w/ Lynch's Car

Jauron, pressed for a comment this morning, said: "I feel pretty good heading into camp with the running backs we have, now that we've re-signed Anthony Thomas." -
On top of that don't forget high state taxes on a whole slew of other things, such as gasoline, alcohol, tobacco, and God knows what else. Also, increasingly higher amounts charged as "fees" for a whole variety of things, such as entry fees for state parks, vehicle licensing and registration, road and bridge tolls, etc. Well, at least we can rest easy, certain that all that tax money is being wisely and efficiently spent, with politics never entering into the equaion.

I think I may have a cheap solution here: Just put Peters back on the right side... ...and teach Trent to throw left-handed.

I need to know what I stand to win first. But since you demand it... DB? Well, after one season... Seemed like Greer was tested by QBs early on and responded with a number of really memorable plays. I guess I think of McGee as the more consistent at the position.

Gloom and doom thread
Bleed Bills Blue replied to Bleed Bills Blue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks, I can always count on the good folk here at TBD to bring me down. Anybody know if there's anything to the rumor that Ralph is plannning to force this year's practice squad to enlist and go over to Iraq in order to collect the Army's signing bonus? -
Gloom and doom thread
Bleed Bills Blue replied to Bleed Bills Blue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gee, and I thought the McKelvin comment was a sure tipoff this thread was a joke. I was kind of hoping folks would pile on some funny, made up/ over-the-top negative schit for laughs. Hey, I've had the time of my life at every home game for 18 years. Ain't nobody less miserable than me! -
Maybe it's just cause I was up all night, but doesn't the future look bleak to you all this morning? McCargo and Whittle ready to kill each other in practice Hardy ready to kill anybody, anywhere JP missing OTA with out-of town "committment", yeah Lee Evan dogging it to squeeze out a bigger pay day Jason Peters demanding a trade (well, who really knows?) McKelvin late for meetings because his car's navigation system can't recognize his speech Of course, in the end, we'll get all this under control. But, ultimately, just as the Bills are finally ready to go back to the Super Bowl in 2010, the season will be cancelled by the Owners' lockout, and we'll be treated to Counterfeit Bills scab games again. Well, at least we'll get to see Coy Wire in a Bills' uniform one more time.

Hey, it has to happen sometime. Of course it would be doubly sweet to beat them at their own game, with Trent picking them apart, clicking with 5 or 6 different receivers all over the field. A McKelvin pick and return for a TD, as Brady struggles in garbage time, sure wouldn't suck either. Only question is...do we run the score up on them or show some mercy?

Walsh not in Patriots gear during Rams' walkthrough

So many perplexing questions, so few clear answers... -
I agree, and I doubt you'd find a specific league rule about something like this.

I've been looking at these photos over and over and over again, but I just can't quite decide. Tell you what, I'm gonna go have another look and let you guys know what I think later...
