  1. There is nothing about the Jason Peters situation that hasn't been posted at least 50 times.
  2. He means that Bowen is also on IR.
  3. Retaliation.
  4. And to think we let Coy Wire go.
  5. Hope no other shoes drop this week.
  6. So you had a chance to knee him in the nuts and didn't take it?
  7. True, that. I'm hoping he has the capacity to grow and change as a coach. All he needs to do is look at Tom Coughlin last season. If the way you've always done something continues to produce the same rather mediocre results, why keep doing it? If you're satisfied with being average, you shouldn't be in the NFL, and I think Jauron would be the first to agree with that. So think big. Take some calculated risks. Shake things up. Run a few plays outside your comfort zone. Hell, even Mike Mularkey won a game when he broke routine and took the team out on a day trip for hamburgers.
  8. A perfect time to begin to hone the killer instinct we'll need to be successful long-term... Get 'em down, keep 'em down!
  9. Seriously, if Jim Kelly can call him a friend, he's ok with me.
  10. We will certainly suffer if key injuries occur. Things could get desperate pretty fast.
  11. Says it all.
  12. Gee, thanks for those touching words, Dan. Now, die.
  13. I was with the majority on all the questions except the last: How will the Bills' season end? I first clicked "Barely miss the playoffs", but changed it to "Early playoff exit"...even though in my heart of hearts I knew my first reaction was the most honest and probably the right one.
  14. Hopefully Dick Jauron learned from watching Tom Coughlin last year...sometimes you've got to start to change the ways you've always done things and operate outside the box more. Personally, I'd like to see a pass play on our first offensive snap of the year. Just a way of announcing: this isn't the '07 Bills. Hey, it worked in pre-season! GO BILLS!!!!!!!
  15. At least then Peters will have someone to play Madden 2010 with.
  16. You mean she's only wearing it to help sales? (sigh) That's so...mercenary.
  17. I like a couple of things he said at bb.com today. First, on the team captains, Whitner and committment: "We know that the real power of the team is peer pressure. That's what really holds the thing together. Nobody wants to let their teammates down." And about Langston Walker: "Lang has done a really nice job, a very unselfish job...very unselfish." Hey Jason, you paying attention?
  18. The resemblance is uncanny: http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff140/d...nkenHeadGuy.jpg
  19. Interesting...do you know if it will show definitively whether or not Tom Brady has a penis?
  20. True, that. Hamdan seems pretty well set.
  21. Ha ha, you're right about both things. If she needs a seat to the game this week, she can have mine...of course I'll be using it, too.
  22. This situation has become a major test of wills. From what I've read here, the Bills have made it pretty clear that they would negotiate when he shows up, but any additional money to Peters will be paid after this year, going forward...not this year..which makes sense, because how can they unlock the vault for him right now when they've haven't even finished the Evans deal (which has taken months)? Yeah, I thought he'd report by now, but it's now looking like it will be later this season. What's the Parker/Peters strategy at this point in the game? 1) The less I play this year, the less I expose myself to a career-ending injury and the loss of a big payday. After the way last season ended, I know first-hand the real possibility of this happening. 2) As long as I report by the tenth week of the season I'll get credit for the year. If I only play in 4 or 5 games this year I'll achieve my first objective (staying healthy) while at the same time taking the first steps towards free agency. I'll be fresh and will play my butt off in those games to keep my value high. 3) While I don't wish bad things for my buds, I know the Bills are thin on the line. There's a chance they'll pay me rather than scour the waiver wire if a rash of injuries should occur. 4) I'm confident that I'll be paid or traded eventually, if not this year, then next. When they see I mean business they'll do one or the other. No way they'll string me along for three years when they could get something in return. My agent has run the numbers, and no matter what the fines and lost game checks, I still come out way ahead doing this. If something like this is their strategy (and, I know, it assumes he's 100%), what is the best response by the Bills for the overall good of the team in the near and long term? Am I right in thinking that Peters can creep out from under his contract eventually by making himself available for only six games every year? Could the Bills go after his signing bonus if he does this? If he doesn't see the field in three years he's not gonna be worth much, but would the Bills really not play him in those games if he was available? I don't know the answers, but it's clear this mess is definitely entering a new phase.
  23. There's a game this weekend? I only go for the free food in the field house.
  24. Ha, Johnson even changed his name this year cause he figured it would make it harder for Donte to find him on the field if he ever plays us again.
  25. If you've never done it with a girl on a swing before, I'd urge you to give it a try! A trapeze is also an interesting variation.
