  1. Fine post, Kelly, and good points everyone. I had a little scare, right after Roscoe's score (I think), when we gave a big return right back to them and a couple big passes moved them down the field fast. Was that when their guy dropped that easy pass at the goal line? I was afraid we might be letting them climb back into the game... Anyway, I've seen this before, where we give up a big special teams play right after making one ourselves. Momentum is a funny thing, and we haven't always been able to close out games. Hopefully that was then...
  2. Yeah, there may be an outside chance... Exactly We can dream, can't we?
  3. Heh heh, yes he's just getting started...and we've got him locked up.
  4. Collinsworth said "The Bills were awesome today"...and he's so right.
  5. Anybody check back in to that obnoxious She-hawks forum that was linked here yesterday?
  6. Well, to be realistic, we scored two of our touchdowns against their special teams, not the "Elite D"...so, if you subtract those two tds... OK, we still outscored them 2 to 1 !!!!!
  7. I agree with this, but saying it doesn't take anything away from a total team effort.
  8. Marcus Stroud +17. He'll command double teams all year. A dominating tide that lifts all the boats along the line. And Kawika Mitchell was really flying around the ball most of the day...no I mean he was actually flying...amazing!!
  9. You've earned the right to bark, dog...nice call!
  10. He didn't care about the teams he embarrassed when running up the score just to get his personal touchdown record. Should be no surprise that the fans of those teams now don't care if he never plays another down. Yeah, I guarantee you it's not just Buffalo fans who feel that some measure of karmic justice was served today. Hey, Tom, it's a tough game, deal wit it.
  11. Yeah, but I hear he has a real attitude problem.
  12. The truth is Peters was going to hold out no matter what the Bills did, short of laying vast wealth at his feet this year. Yeah, that would have gone over great with Evans. This is a team that, traditionally, doesn't start the season particularly strong, and now we'll be that much less effective the first several games because of his me-first strategy. Unless we start the season 4-0, we'll never be sure just how much he's hurt us. I don't think any Buffalo Bills player has ever been scrutinized as Jason Peters will be when he takes the field. He better at least as good as last year. Hell, if he has so much upside he should play even better.
  13. Big test of that this Sunday.
  14. Can't the Bills just send an email to Goodell saying, "oops, only kidding...never mind"?
  15. Also, why is Crowell seeking a second opinion to surgery now? Isn't it a little too late now that he's on IR? http://buffalobills.com/blog/index.jsp?blogger_id=1
  16. Yeah, Jauron did say "To this point it's been Bud, our trainer, and Dr. Marzo." (as of last night), so that maybe indicates there's another medical professional who's gotten involved.
  17. Ok, it gets even weirder, from Chris Brown 5 minutes ago: "CROWELL SEEKING SECOND OPINION: According to Bills head coach Dick Jauron, LB Angelo Crowell still has not has surgery on his injured knee as he's seeking a second opinion. That still doesn't change his status of being on injured reserve. His 2008 season is effectively over." I thought he had surgery yesterday? Ok, wait, he had it scoped yesterday, and the diagnosis was bad and surgery was recommended; so that's why he's seeking a second opinion today, and maybe it turns out he can play this year...but it's too late because he's already on IR?? WTF???
  18. Right, anybody can have good moves in a weightless environment.
  19. "This whole Crowell thing is just maddening I tell ya, Jerry, maddening!"
  20. Ha...kicking some she-hawk butt Sunday would sure calm my nerves...that and a few cold beers in the parking lot.
  21. Oh no, I agree 100%, Matty. It just makes it look like no one's in the driver's seat with two days to go.
  22. Just a bit of clear, well-stated information would go a long way towards assuring Bills' fans that the team's lug nuts are tight and firmly holding the wheels on the Bills' bus. When Jauron comes out and says of the Crowell situation "It came pretty much out of the blue, it was certainly something we didn't see coming.", he needs to be aware of the scrutiny and doubts his words will cause. At the very least such statements seem to point to confusion and a lack of communication within the organization, especially disconcerting coming three days before opening day. I think it would have been better for him just to say "we'll have a full statement and more details on this tomorrow." Jauron's comments, coupled with statements from his defensive teammates, does make it look like Crowell was really the one who handled things poorly; how could he not keep the team apprised of his plans in advance? In his defense, the only explanation that comes to mind is that his knee suddenly turned much worse, and he felt he had no other recourse. But you get the feeling the Bills FO feels differently. After all, it's not like Crowell suffered a sudden, badly broken bone or something. Maybe Chris Brown will step up today and clear the air.
  23. Of course, this doesn't hold true at Two Bills Drive.
