  1. "There's a fine line between uniform and costume, and the Bengals have been on the wrong side of it for years now. The fact that they wear Halloween colors just reinforces the point."
  2. Ha, great clip! Ungulates save the day! Basking in the afterglow of a lingering collective WNY endorphin rush.
  3. Ah, this makes the long wait until September so much easier to take!
  4. Don't mind if the Pats* win, as long as a skycam cable snaps and takes out Brady.
  5. Love it!
  6. It's sad, I've seen a bunch of long-time season ticket holders in our section stop coming over the last several years. Same with some of the (formerly) faithful contingent who make the long trip every week from our part of Livingston County. As for me, 21 years going to games and counting. I spend $1000 every year on tickets, gas/parking, tailgating and restaurants. It's still money well spent, but I'd be lying if I said my enthusiasm was what it used to be.
  7. It would be an entertaining SB if we were to play any team from the Lingerie League. Who knows, we might even be competitive against them.
  8. He's the second coming of Doug Flutie, maybe.
  9. Wow, fatboy loser really puts the "a*s*s" in "class"!
  10. Don't know if this was mentioned in some other thread, but did anyone catch the NBC Sunday night pre-game show? Tony Dungy and Rodney Hairball showed/talked about this play. They first showed the weak PI call, then the McKelvin mugging. Dungy just shook their head in disbelief, kind of half laughing and said "If this first one gets called for pass interference, how in the world do you not call it on the second one?"
  11. Note to the Jets: The road to the playoffs goes through Orchard Park, and we're forcing you off that road and over the cliff today!!
  12. Here, let me hold some tools for you while you tinker under the hood. May I suggest this 3-foot long torque wrench to swat any little green bugs you see crawling around...
  13. I basically feel that way, too...but I've been wrong before! Still, I can see the Jets caving and going through the motions by the end of the third quarter. Really hope I do a lot of dancing and SHOUT singing today.
  14. Good points. Here's the basic formula for the playoffs (and beyond): Win all your home games and split on the road. (8-0)+ (4-4) = 12-4...will do it every time. So far so good. Our guys are really good at math! They will not squander a strong, home-field advantage.
  15. It seems Norwood is being given his award between the first and second quarters, so no big halftime ceremony, as for Wall of Fame and other major events. This is as it should be. But, yeah, some strange elements are brewing for today's game. One thing's for sure, though: This team is disciplined, prepared and mentally tough. It doesn't let trivial things distract from the job at hand. Hope I'm kicking back in the upper deck at about 3:30 today, enjoying a 20 point lead. More likely this will be another 3 point game that will turn on one or two plays. Goodbye voice.
  16. Double team Maybin? lmfao!!
  17. FWIW, I feel there were weaker links on that team than Norwood. What are the chances, do you suppose, that Rian Lindell would knock down a 47 yarder off grass in one of the most pressure packed moments in football history?
  18. This. No need to mix personality with performance results.
  19. "A few years ago, ... we signed a guy and paid him a lot of money, and he lived in Florida," Wilson said. "And there was a very large bonus attached to the contract, and he wanted us to say the contract was signed in Florida so that he would not have to pay taxes to the state of New York. We held out and I said, 'No, this fellow is going to play in New York, he's going to pay New York.' We had a long hard fight on it. He wanted to sign in Florida. He wound up signing in New York." Who was this guy, anybody know? McGahee?
  20. Where can I get the shout lyrics in French?
  21. Count me in. I'm expecting a great, whole team effort in a game that won't be all that close. I think Fitz was speaking the mindset of the team the other day when he said 5-2 will look a lot better than 4-3. These guys are focused on this game, sure, but they have the playoffs squarely in the crosshairs. I think their approach is that this is a must-win game.
  22. Great to see the Levy acknowledgment. You know, for all the pain Marv inflicted on us during his stint as GM, if Freddie turns out to be the engine that earns us a SB title, all will be forgiven!
  23. All I know is, if he keeps up this "torrid" pace and stays healthy, he'll overtake Bruce Smith sometime during the 2023 season!
  24. So very sad. A true southern gentleman with a big heart. The anchor of our offense. The pride of the Bills.
