Because although it was ruled a catch, they did change the spot since it was returned to where he fumbled the ball forward out of bounds. Since they changed something, Tennessee technically "won" the challenge.
It wasn't baffling at all...they wanted the wind advantage for the 4th quarter. Sometimes people simply don't realize all the factors that go into decisions.
That little 5 yard slant to Coleman to give him a chance to break a tackle or two and make a big play should be a staple in the Bills offense.
I literally wrote that before the game in another thread and lo and behold he does exactly that on the play they run it.
I think they want to play a certain way and teams are forcing them to play closer to the line of scrimmage than they want in the second half.
Essentially, the D isn't capable of playing the way it used to yet and be good enough to play 2 high shells and take away the run game enough so that it forces teams to throw
I don't think Terrell came back in the game after the ankle...he went in the blue tent the first time after being evaluated for a year injury and then came back in...then hurt his ankle and never returned.
Yup...I had something akin to a very mild turf toe and it hurt so freaking bad I couldn't even touch my foot on the ground.
I have no idea how these NFL players are playing in a game with worse injuries when I couldn't even have it hardly hit the ground without almost screaming in pain...and I have a pretty high pain tolerance.
I'm guessing they ruled he did not actually have possession with his initial foot down until he regained it in the endzone and that's when his other foot barely was out of bounds.
Essentially the first foot down didn't count because he didn't possess it fully at that point.
Especially as he slowed down while looking behind him and kind of changing his angle to try and avoid being tackled...it wasn't fully in a straight line.
