Wild Card Weekend - Wild Card Weather
Big Turk replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
As someone who started off as a Meteorology Major for first 2 years in college but hated Math and Physics, I still love and read up on stuff regularly and am picking Donn Paul's brain regularly on twitter asking him stuff. Appears to be a classic set up for potentially heavy lake snow if we don't get wind shears and/or injections of drier air -
Tons of Tua and McDaniel are frauds and they need to both go threads also.
-
Gabe Davis non contact knee injury not promising nor the fact he was in street clothes.
-
Have to say Fins got screwed. Playing on short week and have to travel 2/3 of the way across the country.

Uh no...KC has a high of 14 and low of 4 on Saturday. At 8pm, temps likely in single digits with negative wind chills -
Likely wind knocked out of him the way he landed on the ball. At least it looked similar to plays where that happened in the past

Allen can throw in the high winds we have seen reasonably well. Rudolph I doubt can. Similar build and height/weight as Allen but lack of arm strength is why he fell in the draft to the 3rd round. Especially with how it swirls. Balls will sail or die in the winds and be prime INT targets. -

Early forecast is high of 24 degrees with chance of snow showers and winds 15-25 mph with higher gusts most likely. Storm system coming thru Saturday looks like it could set up the lake snow machine with backing winds behind it if other conditions set up favorably. From Forecaster Discussion on NOAA/NWS Buffalo: "The next feature of interest is a potent shortwave trough and rapidly intensifying sfc low tracking into the mid-Mississippi River valley Friday night. However...there still remains timing issues as the low pressure system steams ENE towards the Great Lakes region. Even so...given it`s current advertised track at the moment it looks like we will initially see a mixed bag of precipitation, that then quickly transitions over to rain. Saturday...the sfc low passes by to our west with a `much` (-15C to -17C) colder air mass rapidly advecting into the Lower Lakes. We might be looking at some decent accumulating snows this time for the tail end of the weekend. This would be for Saturday night through Sunday but this is way too far out to have any confidence given the lack of model run to run consistency. Stay tuned." -
Shakir's 86.6% catch rate leads the NFL this year. I could easily see him as an 800-900 yard guy next year with an outside shot at 1000 yards

Biggest thing is who do we think has the best chance of taking out Baltimore so we can host the AFCCG if we win 2 games and they lose? I say Cleveland, so they need to win in Houston and we need to take out Steelers. KC wins and they come here and Cleveland goes to Baltimore and they already beat Baltimore there this year and their D is statistically better than Baltimore in every way.
-
Oh crap...I messed that up. I still see Cleveland's D causing issues for Stroud.
-
I would liked to see a fake and Allen running QB Power.
-
If you are afraid of Mason Rudolph and an average at best D without TJ Watt, maybe you should take up knitting or something. These games are going to be too much for you.
-
KC because I want them to come here for once. I think Cleveland can beat Baltimore meaning we would host the AFCCG if we beat Pittsburgh then KC. I have ZERO confidence the Fins can beat Baltimore and I don't see the Texans winning against Cleveland in the cold on the road. UPDATE: I realize Cle goes to Hou now.

They looked like it last year. The game shouldn't be close.

Thrilled with today but we left alot of meat on the bone

We outgained them by 300 last year in Miami and lost. -

Yup, this game was basically the same as 48-20 earlier, we just made boneheaded plays to kill ourselves. Similar to last year in Miami in the heat game. We dominated the game statistically but made dumb plays to prevent scoring. Offense humming going into the playoffs is always good -
Was the estimate of 52% of fans Bills fans accurate? Put the number around 33K if true.
-
It was the same as last year in Miami where the Bills had almost 300 yards more but still lost due to idiotic drops and turnovers. Add another 100+ yards that should have been there with the TD drop by Cook and Allen overthrow of a wide open Diggs for an 85 yard TD. Bills dominated the game.
-
That would have been amazing for Diggs or Adams or Kupp or Hill or Jefferson. For Sherfield who has done nothing but drop balls this year it was honestly nothing short of mind blowing.

Douglas said after game he was good to come back in but Dane said "I got you" and decided to let him rest up. Said he will be good to go.

The Secondary after losing Douglas for the game

game shouldn't have been close, just like last years game in Miami shouldn't have. Bills dominated and kept the Fins in it by idiotic mistakes. -
Fins are STILL Little Brother!! Hahaha... Game should have been over early in 3rd quarter if the Bills could just get out of their own way and stop leaving points on the field. Bills roll up almost 500 yards of offense and held the Fins to under 300. They dominated the game far more than what the scoreboard said. Nice to see Bills D come up again with the stop at the end to close it out.
