  1. Likely going to sit over metro Buffalo and near Northtowns overnight and much of the day tomorrow. Oh, likely way more than that... ".LONG TERM /TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY/... The very active pattern will continue through the end of next week with multiple opportunities for accumulating snow including lake effect and synoptic snow. A mid level closed low will remain parked near Hudson Bay through the end of the week, a classic large scale signal for active weather in the Great Lakes with cold cyclonic flow. Tuesday night through Thursday another round of potentially heavy lake effect snow will impact areas east and northeast of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. This is a long ways out, so plenty of uncertainty with band placement and intensity, but the overall large scale pattern looks supportive of heavy lake effect snow which may target the Buffalo Metro area and Watertown areas."
  2. Snow band shifting north and then expected to remain relatively stable over metro Buffalo and nearby northtowns for much of the overnight and day tomorrow. Not gonna be pretty Cold, high of 16, winds about 15 mph. Could be some snow showers/leftover lake bands but shouldn't be too terrible. Advantage Bills for sure.
  3. They are mostly easy to defend on offense once you figure out what they are trying to do in the game. Defensively they are porous. Bills easily could have had a similar score to the first game if they would have stopped shooting themselves in the foot.
  4. Hopefully they sign Tua to a 10 year $500 mil extension
  5. It might not even last til the first snap. Effectively it would be pointless
  6. Tua looking like he usually does when his first read isn't there
  7. By far...that game wasn't as windy Get ready for another multi-foot event Tuesday night thru Thursday
  8. Increasing confidence another multi-foot lake effect storm targeting the Buffalo Metro area happens between Tuesday night and Thursday night, FYI. Longer term, looks like we get back into the upper 30s and low 40s starting week of the 23rd so it looks like just a bad week and a half or so.
  9. CTV is the broadcast station and OTA is over the air, meaning you should pick it up via antenna. Yeah, CTV is like NBC or Fox.
  10. Schopp is too addicted to fantasy sports to have time for that.
  11. That was embarrassing for the Browns. Texans likely get annihilated by Ravens next week by if rhey find a way to win that could bode well...
  12. Yeah the pressure I believe was down to 974mb for this storm which is very powerful. I think the record blizzard last year was around 959. These are not storms you want to mess with. Those type of pressures are rarely seen on land, only with tropical storms.
  13. They walk. Likely from OP. Or drive snowmobiles on trails.
  14. Yeah, it is. It's a bad weather event. The type of event nobody here tries to drive in because we respect Mother Nature. Once you have enough firsthand glimpses of her power in winter, you don't try your luck or you end up sorry...or dead. Like the 47 people who thought it was smart to be out in the Blizzard last year.
  15. That's how lake bands work sometimes tho. The bands aren't even well organized yet. Wait til the overnight hours.
  16. Browns just folded once they got down by double digits
  17. That's true, but the intensity of the lake bands in large part depends on the difference between the air temp and water temp and when the water temp is that warm it allows more moisture to be carried and dumped.
  18. Yup, denying it is pointless at this point. Last year's blizzard was literally the worst recorded blizzard in US History. I doubt us or anyone else gets one like that anytime soon.
  19. Flacco is imploding. Back to back pick 6's. THOSE INTs are a problem.
  20. Warm winters does not mean record warm lake temperatures. That is a factor starting with the summer and continual warmth thru winter. The fact we are continually seeing record warm lake temps underlies the fact we continuously keep having top 20(mostly top 10) warm years year after year. Here is a pretty good over/under to go by. It's increased from 22.2" to 31.0" over the past day.
  21. Do you understand the implications of continual record warm lake temperatures during the events over the last several years? BTW, the lake temperature when the storm started was 42 degrees, a record for this time of year again. Lake snow with record warm temps will not "fall short". Please understand how this works before posting how so many times it's fallen short. If anything it's likely to over deliver.
  22. Excuse me? They are pretty excellent actually. As long as you know where to get your info from. NWS Buffalo or Donn Paul Forget unwatchable. Hundreds would have died attempting to get to the game. There is a pretty good idea of where and how much. And if anything these totals usually end up being lower than actual ones.
