I knew it was going to be higher...I was laughing at them saying it was only going to be $242 million.

Sean McDermott joins NFL Competition Committee
Big Turk replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow...that is quite the honor and says a lot about what the rest of the NFL thinks of McDermott. If loving you ain't right, I don't want to be Wong... -

How clutch was Josh in 2023? No other QB even came close

With more weapons those would be decided well in advance of 2 minutes -

Agree...McD has shown the ability to do more with less on D up until the postseason and then it never seems to matter how good they are, they always crap the bed against quality offenses. Allen needs weapons so the games don't have to be so close in those situations.- 141 replies

Some players play their best when the lights and brightest and games are biggest and some don't.

Brady Effect: QBs playing into their 40's the new norm?
Big Turk replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall
Depends how well they take care of themselves. The rules limiting how many hits they are going to take is likely playing a large role as well. -

This seems pretty wild...apparently things were worse in NE than many realized even tho you heard some bits and pieces while the dynasty was still going, seems like many former players are speaking out about things and it paints a strange picture... Belichick was an overlord, task-master who treated Brady like an abused dog and Brady was constantly trying to seek and win his approval almost like a son-father relationship growing up... Like the stories about all the kids who are driven to try and prove their greatness to their fathers who never have anyrhing good to say so they work maniacally to continue doing more and more thinking each time that this is going to win his approval, but yet it never does creating a vicious mental cycle where he is trapped because he has put so much effort into it and is so invested that he simply cannot stop, and while he hates him for it, he also loves him too... Just paints a picture of Brady as someone who was emotionally abused like a son who was never good enough no matter what he did... At the end Brady couldn't take any more of it and left, saying he wouldn't sign another contract there even if he wanted to play til he was 50. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/tom-brady-details-declining-relationship-174203443.html

That's what I remember hearing...that this was a play the Chiefs took from Daboll's playbook after we used it against them The Chiefs literally admitted they took this play from the Bills when Daboll used it to score a TD against them a few years ago. Not sure how they could think this since the reason they use the play is because we used it against them.

I heard one analyst that said Williams does not do well throwing on the run...can't remember who it was but he said he was shocked to see how poor he was in comparison to what people were touting him to be while on the move.

After 120 minutes in soccer, I don't think you could really tack on more time when you have no idea how long it could go on for. Especially when these players are playing so frequently throughout the year. There really is no off-season anymore for them with all the league games, cup games, tournaments and qualifying matches they are playing. They definitely have the most grueling schedule year-round of any sport. Baseball is pretty tough but they have a long off-season to get rested up. Soccer has no such period outside a few weeks here and there.

While it's nice they addressed the fact that each team is now guaranteed at least one possession, that still leaves the situation of is it really fair that if both teams are the same after the first possession then the team with the 3rd possession can win it with no ability to respond for the other? I'd say no. I'm not sure why the NFL doesn't just go to the college OT format. It clearly is the most fair, as both teams are guaranteed the same number of possessions, and it comes down to which team scores more points on the same number of possessions, not which team has the ball for the 3rd possession of the game is still tied after the first 2. The NFL still has it wrong even with their "fix" in the playoffs IMO. Perhaps that is why Shanahan took the ball first? Never thought of this possibility but if both teams scored TDs or FGs or had to punt, then the team with the 3rd possession only needs a FG to win the game.

I hate the Chiefs more at this point. Mostly for the fact the Brady teams never really kept the Bills from anything. They never were any threat except maybe to make a wildcard once or twice and lose in the first round even if they managed to get in. This version of the Bills with Allen might have won the Super Bowl in either of the last two years they got bounced by the Chiefs.

Bills Open With 4th Best Odds to Win Super Bowl Next Season
Big Turk replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
They haven't lost a regular season game by more than 6 points since mid November of 2021 against the Colts at home. That's by far the longest in the NFL and completely absurd at how good they have been over that long period of time. Irritating they don't have more to show for it. -
with what money? Maybe...but I think there are still some residual hard feelings from the Jones camp on the lengths they had to go to even get a "decent" deal for him. I doubt they take that discount again.

The draft typically tends to even out over time...sometimes teams go on good runs with picks then have some not so good runs. Some pretty in depth studies show that almost all teams regress towards the mean over a big enough sample size.

I'd always prefer to know exactly what I need rather than letting the other team know exactly what they need, especially when there is no result that ends the game in that situation.

Chiefs are just better than the Bills
Big Turk replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
The games they play are almost dead even over the course of many games...points, lead changes, etc...most times it comes down to making or not making 2 or 3 plays a game at the right/wrong times which is enough of a difference against two teams that are essentially for all intents and purposes are dead even. The slimmest of margins they are losing in the playoffs to them the last 2 games. -
