There is a saying that is very valid. "You have to earn the right to rush the passer by stopping the run first." Parsons rarely does that unless teams play into their hands by trying to throw a lot.

Maybe...but he doesn't seem like a player that raises his game in big moments. Seems to disappear actually. We got enough of those players on D. Also Garrett is not even close to being as good against the run

I would prefer Maxx Crosby. Younger, cheaper, best run edge defender in the NFL and plays his best against Mahomes.

Teams have schemed ways to take him out of games far too easily lately. Namely, just run right at him like the Bills did and he didn't do anything all game except get blown off the ball. If he isn't rushing the passer, he is a liability out there
