  1. You think shoveling/snow blowing 5-6+ feet of snow is easy? It's a crazy workout involving muscles you rarely use and in general using muscles in ways they haven't been trained to work repeatedly.
  2. Many injuries? Yeah...neck injuries? Likely going to happen regardless...players lower their helmets all the time and cause force to that area
  3. I dunno...I think with neck injuries it's simply a ticking time bomb and it's going to happen regardless.
  4. This has Vontae Davis beat...the man retired because he just sold a Pokemon card for 650K. I guess it's a lot easier than playing football?? OK, Buh-Lock-ay. https://www.instagram.com/p/CkytDIeSOXi/?hl=en https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/nfl-linebacker-retires-selling-rare-151500443.html
  5. Poor wording on my part. Obviously not for the player, never want to see a guy with that type of injury. I was talking purely from a Bills perspective.
  6. I mean I get your point and it seems coming up people switch sides with some regularity(ie, it's not super rare to see a guy go from coaching WRs to LBs or whatever during his early days)... It might simply be to find their "niche" so to speak...everyone likely is "better" at coaching one side of the ball than the other and maybe it takes a while to figure out which side that is.
  7. With a neck injury...ended up working out in the long run...would have been hurt for the stretch run here. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2022/11/commanders-rb-j-d-mckissic-to-miss-rest-of-season
  8. Wasn't up to them to make the call. The NFL had to do it.
  9. There is no ampunt of planning that can prepare you for that.
  10. Reid also has had about 15+ more years of McDermott like coaching than McDermott has before he got to that point.
  11. Scheduled to depart from Buffalo Airport at 3:30
  12. McD needs to take the players out for cheeseburgers.
  13. Wow...I just was looking at the NWS report...makes sense as it was from 7pm and they had about another 3-4 hours of snow after that
  14. Damn...I was just going by the official NWS report, but that certainly seems possible.
  15. There are 66 inches in OP and scheduled to get another 9+ tonight. Now do you get it? Lake effect forecasts are subject to change DURING the event. A slight change in wind direction or it staying over an area for longer than expected can lead to wildly different amounts of snow.
  16. How's that working out for them? Their offense is a trainwreck. Defensive players are calling out the plays they are running with regularity
  17. The challenge is getting there. OP had 66 inches of snow
  18. The White Wall. I've seen it a few times...it's pretty wild when you go from clear roads and visibility to the "whoosh" of entering it and immediately go to snow covered roads and not able to see hardly at all
  19. There is almost always going to be less snow in those locations. Has been for as long as there has been Lake Effect snow. The typical wind direction favors Ski Country, the Southtowns, the Eastern Suburbs and the Buffalo Metro area near the airport in that order. I am not sure why anyone would be surprised that Amherst, Tonawanda, NT, Grand Island, Niagara Falls, Lewiston, Lockport or any of the other northern areas are not hit as much. It's how it is almost every time there is a Lake Snow event. Hamburg has 4+ feet as of a little after 1PM...could be close to 5 by now.
  20. Nope...the band got pushed further south than they thought before stalling out...they knew the shortwave trough was coming and that the models were aggressive in the band pushing south, but local experience showed them this usually did not happen once it was set up and organized....this time it did.
  21. He probably felt he was able to start elsewhere
