How has the AFC East suddenly become the best division in football?
Big Turk replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like Campbell...by all accounts he is a good man and the players love and respect him. -
USA dominating Iran and doing everything but finishing. Also...Iranian women are very HOT!

I mean these are funny stories but it's a disgrace he decided to drive drunk putting other people's lives at risk. Not cool at all and hopefully someone in the family had the balls to tell him in some strong words at some point. Seems from the way you tell the story it was a pretty common thing for him?

The crazy thing about Elam is how comfortable he has gotten in zone so quickly after basically learning it from scratch. Earlier in the year, a week or two after the Ravens game, someone who is knowledgeable with coverages and DB play did a breakdown of all the rookie CB's and was super impressed with Elam's abilities in zone coverage and actually asked if he played a lot of it in college because it looked very natural to him.

You mean Douglas for the Jets? -
This is pretty crazy...Bills are 2nd worst only to CAR in terms of "unluckiest" teams. This covers opponent dropped INT's, opponent dropped passes, opponent FG/XP attempts and fumble recoveries(both teams). Bills are BY FAR the worst at "fumble luck". Bills are 3rd worst in terms of FG/XP attempts Bills tied for 5th worst in terms of opponent dropped passes(ie, opponents have fewer drops vs. us than they do against other teams) The only thing they are "good" with is dropped INTs by opponents, although that is basically neutral at +.01 ,ranking 12th. This all adds up to a total of -1.65 added net win probability due to "luck", second worst only to the Panthers at -1.68.

I don't think so. Both of those teams have negative point differentials, although small. AFC East Schedules have in general been much harder than the NFC East's also. By DVOA, The AFC East features #4(Jets), #7(Bills), #12(Dolphins) and #15(NE) toughest past schedules versus the NFCE at #14(NYG), #19(WAS), #21(DAL) and #29(PHI). So I would find it difficult to think the NFCE would have a better record if they played a similarly difficult schedule. In reality, it might be significantly worse. In terms of future schedule, the AFCE teams face a gauntlet as they face the 2nd(MIA), 4th(NE), 5th(NYJ) and 6th(BUF) hardest schedules from this point on while only the Commanders(7th) in the NFCE face a schedule harder than 14th(NYG) with DAL and PHI facing cupcake schedules. -
Let's not be funny. Nobody who watched that game thought they beat us. The Bills mostly beat themselves by leaving about 20-30 points on the field and they also got an assist from the heat and injuries which by the 4th quarter accounted for half the starters being out. And they still were getting dominated.

Seems like Belichick is doing one of his "destroy mediocre/bad teams" and lose to good teams move like last year which is helping the Pats out a lot. Jets D is legit and is wining in spite of their O most weeks. Dolphins O is carrying them and winning in spite of their D. Bills, when healthy are still the best and most complete team in the NFL. AFC East is the ONLY division in football that features more than 2 teams with a Positive Net Point Differential. In fact, EVERY team in the division is positive in net points with the Dolphins, the team leading the division(for now) being the worst at +26. Bills are the best team in the NFL at +110. Sucks that Bills are going to have a 3 way fight for the division now every year for the foreseeable future it seems with the Jets and Dolphins. For all the talk of how great the AFC West would be, that has been mostly a disappointment with only KC having a positive net point differential. AFC North, Ravens and Bengals are both positive in net points but Steelers and Browns are bad. NFC West has been mostly a dumpster fire. 49ers are injured as usual and Seahawks have been a nice story. Rams and Cards have been bad. NFC East has all teams with a winning record, but only 2 with a positive point differential. NFC North has Minnesota who is 9-2 but is finding new miraculous ways to win every week with an absurdly low +5 differential on the year for having 9 wins. NFC South, no team has a positive differential or winning record, speaking of dumpster fires.

They practiced in full yesterday...I would hope that is more than "heading in a good direction" With Allen there is NO part of the field you can say that with. On any play in any situation he can get the ball to any spot on the field. That's what makes him and Mahomes so dangerous. Ah yes...back when the Pats used to be bottom dwellers in the AFC East along with Indy...wait...they are still bottom dwellers. Nevermind. 😂

Based on the 5 games that were considered, it shouldn't be a surprise at all. The only other one that is any good would be Giants and Commanders and that's only good due to their records, not because they are actually playing entertaining football. Giants are kinda in free fall and Commanders are pulling the Titans move of scraping out wins by any means necessary but playing mostly ugly on offense.

Stevenson gets most of the work.

The Bills won against the Lions because… ( karma reasons only)

I brought all my game day gear to Ohio with me and made sure I wore it...including the Bills slippers! -
Harris is not going to play and has been ruled as week to week by Belicheat.

It would be a nice wrinkle but the Bills generally suck at screens so I would imagine all we would see is Allen throwing the ball at his feet.

What Happened After Halftime of the Packers Game?
Big Turk replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not sure what part of he was saving his arm for the throws he really needed it for you missed. It isn't a question of "can he do it", it's a question of "how much does it hurt" when he does it and if he can avoid that pain then he will when it's not absolutely needed. Romo seemed pretty certain his elbow was bothering him on some throws, but what would he know...he only played for a decade in the NFL as a QB and played hurt a bunch too. -

They were dominating the Packers in the first half and the Bills looked like the Greatest Show on Turf. By the way he is finessing so many throws and saving the fastballs for only the plays he really feels he needs them for. Now that he is a full go in practice maybe he feels ready to let it rip again more often. -
Phillips has done this a few times this year actually.

Because the other QB gets them blown out and looks incompetent
