  1. Yup...can only act like picks don't matter for so long before they catch up to you. And this is WITH drafting well in later rounds and getting some good players. Imagine if they were like the average team and didn't find hidden gems in later rounds?? The funny thing is, if either KC or Buffalo was the team they faced they likely would have gotten smoked. They got a very favorable matchup.
  2. You are assuming his decision only comes down to winning and not other things.
  3. Talent wise he is. Allen has done so many unique things in NFL history that every time he does a new one we just shrug our shoulders. Kelly was never that.
  4. What a miserable season for the Rams. Hope that SB was worth walking the desert for the foreseeable future. Worst season post super bowl championship in NFL history.
  5. Using a single exception does not make that the norm. That's why you are going to say one versus 20 of them.
  6. Deeper depth of target and higher yards per catch means fewer receptions. Those two are not exclusive.
  7. Dude is an inspiration to people who basically come from nothing and make it big
  8. Yeah because those extra 30 yards mean so much in terms of sample size. Really trying way too hard.
  9. Metcalf had 22.2% of his yards in one game. Higgins had 18% of his yards in one game. Godwin had 19% of his yards in one game. Waddle had 19.1% of his yards in one game. Guess you are determined to show somehow Gabe is different when he really isn't. Maybe he should have saved 30 yards for a different game tho...so his numbers would be "more in line" with these other ones. People keep wanting to believe what they think is true even when statistics show it isn't. It's really mind boggling.
  10. There are literally 4 #2 WRs in the NFL averaging more YPG than Davis. I don't understand where this over inflated expectation comes from #2 WRs in terms of production. Because it simply isn't true except for very few cases. It's really never been true. Cincinnati, Miami, TB and Seattle are the teams with a #2 WR averaging more YPG than Davis. And in Seattle Metcalf is averaging 0.55 yards per game more. I guess there are a LOT of disappointed teams out there. Davis is 44th in targets and 27th in YPG so you can't even use the excuses he is being targeted more than other #2s, as this isn't the case.
  11. The one in the endzone for a TD this year?
  12. I think the Bills absolutely should draft one regardless of my thoughts on Davis. Rookies are far cheaper than players on a second contract and if you can get similar production, it makes sense to pay a rookie versus a 2nd WR 8-12 million a year.
  13. Talking yardage. Gabe's YPC is one of the highest in the NFL. He also has quite a few very big 3rd down conversion catches on key drives this year too. Let's not leave those out. The one leading to the TD right before the half in the Chiefs game on 3rd and 13? near their own endzone was massive.
  14. That's because people have very unrelistic expectations based not in reality. This was never going to happen.
  15. This is not the case around the NFL and never has been. Madden is not real life. By your definition only 4 NFL teams had a #2 WR last year then. Chargers, Seahawks, Bengals, and Bucs. That's it. That's the list of teams with a #2 WR with over 950 yards. Acting like this is some regular occurrence is simply nonsense.
  16. People need to stop acting like we are throwing the ball at some historical rate. The league is pass heavy. 35 more attempts in 11 games than the 16th place team does not make you pass heavy. Again...people touting their opinions without looking to see if what they are saying is statisitcslly true. Hint. Most times it's not.
  17. You could say that about Mike Evans too which I think is a valid Davis comparison, obviously with less overall talent. Similar type WRs.
  18. Coaches are always going to let players try and play if they can. Realistically you could probably make the case 50% of dudes who play with injuries aren't better than a healthy replacement but rarely do they sit them out of the player can go. This isn't a Bills thing, it's an NFL thing. Additionally, point me to a team that has good OLine depth. Almost none do. Some don't even have quality starters. Been a huge issue in the NFL for many years now.
  19. The Jets are ranked 16th in pass attempts per game. League average. Bills are at 37.5, Jets at 34.1. A difference of a total of about 35 more attempts to this point in the season. There is no way Davis is somehow way ahead of most teams WR2 because the Bills have thrown the ball 35 more times than the 16th ranked team. This argument holds no water no matter how much you are convinced it does.
  20. I think he does as well. There is something about growing into a role also and having to learn how to adjust as defenses paly you differently also. I think he will be fine and likely take another step forward next year, assuming the Bills resign him.
  21. How many offenses aren't pass heavy these days? The Bills are only 7th in pass attempts per game, let's not act like they are first in the NFL by a wide margin. This doesn't appear to be the case. The difference between the Bills and league average in passing attempts has been a grand total of about 35 up til this point in the season. You really are trying to claim a total of 35 more passes attempted would have this big of an effect? C'mon man...that's silly.
  22. Valid points. I mean Davis is squarely in the 20th-40th range in terms of most WR stats this year and is on pace for 942 yards and 8-9 TDs. Already has a career high in yards. If there are 32 #1 WRs statistically, #2 WRs would fall between 33-64 logically. He is well within that range. If people are disappointed in him, it largely is because they had unrealistic expectations to begin with. Only so many balls to go around. Probably Madden related...that game has caused more ridiculous and unrealistic expectations over the last few decades than anything else.
  23. All Hamlin had to do is make the tackle instead of running into a blocker in an almost comical way. Should have been at best a 2-3 yard gain. He has been much much better than he was in his first few games in terms of positioning and making plays when he is in space but that was a terrible look. Players don't always progress in a linear way like they do in Madden Franchise mode. McD is doing what he feels is best for him as a player and as a person most likely. And obviously what he feels is best for the team IN THIS PARTICULAR GAME. Bills probably do more week to week matchup stuff in regards to who is inactive(when fully healthy) than any team in the NFL except maybe NE. People are reading way, way too much into this. It will have zero effect on how good Elam will become two or three years from now.
  24. I dunno...he looked pretty good in the Steeler game.
  25. He also claimed Buffalo "wasn't that good" after they destroyed them by 30 in the wildcard game where the Bills had the only perfect offensive game in the history of the NFL in over 101 years. His takes border on comical many times. Even his partners and Matt Cassel looked at him like he was smoking something after that but he doubled down.
