  1. For the most part from the drive stats I have looked at, teams get 1 good drive per half on the Bills, usually the first one of the game and like the 3rd one of the second half. If they fail to score on them, or only kick FGs, they are in real trouble. I think against the Steelers with such a big lead they were playing a very soft brand of defense in the 2nd half and keeping things in front of them allowing the Steelers to complete passes but keep the clock moving, so I am not sure that would be the best game to talk about with that. Bills are very good at getting 3 and outs on the first drive out of half time and many times the 2nd drive out of the half also.
  2. I would not call the Bills defense "bend but don't break". That was like the Bills D during the Super Bowl years. That is typically a backhanded compliment for a team that's ranked like 25th in yards allowed but is 5th or 6th in points allowed. The Bills are 2nd in yards and 1st in scoring. More often than not they are shutting teams down and holding them to under 300 yards of offense. Some offenses are just too good to do that with regularly and KC consistently gives the Bills trouble in that regard. But for probably 25 of the teams in the NFL, I would expect a game against them to feature the Bills holding them under 300 yards total, which is pretty extraordinary.
  3. Well, if that is the case then the Bills OLine historically sucks at it so far this year. Allen is on pace to shatter the NFL record for tipped balls which is 23 set in 2006 with 34.
  4. It's more likely that he means the young guys are having to think too much out there and not playing fast enough.
  5. Great article with video on the Bills resurgent running game the past 2 weeks and how Dorsey made some changes to get it going...basically, re-using the pin and pull concepts from last year that worked well. Something else to note. Knox has quietly become one of the best blocking TE's in the NFL. You'll see him drive DE Frank Clark 5 yards down the field and then execute a nice trap block on DT Chris Jones to spring Singletary on a shotgun run.
  6. KC is a cool ass city...Fountain City it's nicknamed because it has the most fountains of anywhere in the world outside Venice, Italy? I believe. BBQ is unbelievably amazing, went to Q39. Cool section of the city that is a retail district the developer made to look like a replica of Seville, Spain since he went there and loved it. All in all really liked our time there...and of course the obligatory "Go Bills!" was heard multiple times by other current and former WNYers that were there. Went in the summer about 4 or 5 years ago.
  7. Allen needs this one to add to his list of NFL teams he has beaten and he only gets a shot once every 4 years! Well...maybe more depending on the 17th game that is scheduled now.
  8. LMAO! Von: "Which Bills player would you "allow" to date your sister?" Diggs: "I'd rather do who I would not...hmm...who would I allow? Who is a presumed good guy on this team...uhhh...not...uhh...NOT Gabe Davis!" 😂😂
  9. Yeah I was a little surprised too...Ryan had 389 yards and 3 TDs with 0 INTs and a higher completion percentage(72.4%). Maybe they factored in the competition. Chiefs >>>> Jaguars
  10. How would this make sense when the same DLinemen play against other teams and many of them have QBs shorter than Allen? After Allen and Mayfield, the next closest player has 8 batted balls.
  11. That logic doesn't work since we are talking about percentage of drives which are equal regardless of how many drives you have, meaning if you have more drives you are allowed more turnovers for the same percentage. If we were talking only about the number of turnovers, then yes, that would make sense. In this case it does not apply.
  12. The one area Allen has really done a great job working on and cleaning up are the fumbles he has the first few years while running with the ball. I can't remember the last time he fumbles on one of those. They used to happen quite a bit.
  13. Tua is made of glass, not a quality you want in your "franchise" QB
  14. You can't blame him... he's fallen a lot in his life and living in NY there isn't much soft grass laying around, it's all concrete. He's given himself one too many concussions I think.
  15. Pretty crazy how close he and Beane still are. Beane and McDermott might be the two best relationship builders in the NFL.
  16. I'm not sure how much this comes into play on pass protection...it's very rare when you see someone shoving back someone in pass blocking. Run blocking, sure. Pass blocking is more preventing them from getting past them as they are going backwards while blocking so their momentum isn't even right for them to be able to knock someone backwards
  17. I believe so...should be in the advanced passing metrics in the game log
  18. People suggesting anyone other than JA17 as MVP when he has more yards than 26 other teams and more TDs than 29 other teams while leading the NFL in passing yards, being 2nd in passer rating to Tua who has played half the games and generally being unstoppable are seriously delusional.
  19. 63 passes is not 3 weeks worth of passes...maybe 2 weeks at best. Unless you are the Bears throwing 25 passes a game...well, no not even then. That still doesn't explain why other teams who throw lots of passes don't have the same issues That might be...by and large Allen has received very good pass protection most of the year so it would not be surprising that DLineman who have been stonewalled are just jumping since they can't get there.
  20. McD reportedly makes $8 million, Caserio was reported to be one of the top 3 highest paid GMs when the Texans gave him $6 million a year. Did not say who else was in that group of 3 but I would assume Belichick is as well... Also have read the average GM makes $2-3 million in the NFL. So I would assume Beane makes a little less than McD
  21. Da'Quan was also 4th in the NFL for DT pass rush win rate at nearly 25% going into the Chiefs game as well... He is doing it all for us. And doing it all at a very high level. Was a huge stud for us while Phillips and Oliver were out multiple games.
  22. I wonder if Jerry threatened to show his new wife what a good time really looks like?
