Week 9: Bills at Jets - Sunday Nov. 6th 1pm
Big Turk replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
They are 11th at 3.2%, directly in front of Miami who is 12th at 2.9% and behind Cincy at 4.6% Offense 21st(-5.3%), Defense 8th(-6.9%), ST 10th(1.7%) https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/nfl/team-efficiency/2022/regular -
Did anyone else see the play where I believe Davis caught the ball for a short gain and it was Alexander and Davis out there one on one and Alexander made it look like he was going to come tackle him normally and then waited a split second and launched himself at Davis' knee? I immediately thought that was a punk move and an attempted dirty(tho legal) play when I saw it... Anyone else see it or have an opinion on it?

They do have those game, like the 17-16 win and the 18-10 win, but they also have the 45-17 win and 27-10 win from last year where the game was never really in doubt.

Bills 30 Jets 13

Allen changed from White 20 to White 80 this year....did not notice that until this game.
-
No...really? I'm not sure exactly what your point is. You don't actually seem to have one.
-
I honestly think they were disappointed because Green Bay wasn't even trying to win, they were simply trying to "lose by not that much" similar to Jauron era teams that knew they were overmatched. I thought he could have easily run for good yardage if not first downs on both the first INT and the overthrow to Kumerow that kept them from running out the clock.
-
Nope but my Dad is. I watch plenty of games. Allen isn't even in the top 5 for QB rushes this year. I think YOU are the one who needs to watch more games.
-
You act like other teams don't rely on their QB's to run as well, as if the Bills are some anomaly. Allen is tied for 4th in the NFL with Jalen Hurts with 306 rushing yards, behind Lamar, Justin Fields and Daniel Jones. He is 6th in attempts at 53, many of those coming on scrambles off pass plays. Hurts leads the NFL with 77 attempts, followed by Fields at 76, Lamar at 75, Jones at 64 and Mariota at 55. Nobody is complaining about them running so much and potentially getting hurt are they? IMO, the Bills get in their short yardage personnel so often to "keep up appearances" because they are extremely successful throwing out of those formations and personnel groupings to get guys wide open. If they really wanted to run the ball well in those situations they would get out of their heavy personnel, spread them out to create a light box and then just hand the ball off to Singletary who is perfectly capable of picking up yard in those situations and in most cases more. The Bills are their own worst enemy with that because they insist on using "power" formations which they have proven to not be very good at over multiple years, which brings lots of defenders around the ball in a condensed area instead of simply spreading them out and running it. They simply don't have the personnel up front to "road grade" players out of the way. They are fantastic at getting out in space and getting to the next level on pulls/traps/counters, etc... I get why they do it, because they are great at passing out of that formation and need to keep teams honest in not knowing whether they are going to run it or throw it, but still...

How do people post this kind of stuff with a straight face? Nonsensical Fans are so pathetic with this nonsense.

You know a guy Jimmy? I mean make sure we get the friends and family discount from Goomba Vinnie. -
This is actually the third different place I have heard/read something like this from National Media with no rooting interests over the past few weeks. I have to say I agree with this as it will take the other good teams A game to beat us while we play a C game...and even then we probably still have a shot. The Bills seemingly are the only team that can stop themselves. If they don't turn the ball over and do stupid things, they are nearly impossible to beat. Thoughts? https://ftw.usatoday.com/2022/10/buffalo-bills-only-1-team-can-stop-them-from-winning-super-bowl

Agree...I don't see the Bills paying that much for an RB and if they were to do that, I would be surprised if they didn't give that money to Singletary and draft another RB.
-
Not this year, but in a few years possibly if we keep trending in the direction we have since late February of last year.
-
Marlowe is a UFA too tho, he is on a 1 year deal. I would much prefer to see Johnson stay on teams and Marlowe fill his starting role...unlike Johnson, Marlowe was very productive for us when he started.
-
I doubt he is out for the year but might be 3-6 weeks. It kinda pisses me off that he is dealing with this again because he took the elbow brace off...like I know it isn't super comfortable to play in, but that's not something you want to re-injure.
-
He played well for us...had 2 INTs, 1.5 sacks and 1 FR in 2020 while starting 4 games.
-
Likely back to the PS once he clears waivers.
-
Likely back to the PS after he clears waivers. Same with Bryant.

Guess he will fit right in with our current safeties getting burnt deep....he was involved in the DJ Moore 62 yard Hail Mary last week that tied the game for the Panthers. But at least he has decent speed unlike Johnson...runs in the mid 4.5s which is similar to Poyer and Hyde.
-
This looks like a move to possibly replace Singletary next year...I find it hard to believe they are going to re-sign Singletary with Hines making $4.5 million next year. Although he has no cap hit if he is cut, so I guess maybe not...audition time.
-
So he is going to be an every down back when the Colts have Jonathan Taylor? Hines wasn't brought here to run the ball, he was brought here to catch it, which he does very well.
-
Yeah, I don't know...he looked like he offered quite a lot in receiving against the Bills in the playoffs.
-
If you can't do it in one of the best offenses in the NFL, where are you gonna do it?
