  1. Which then begs the question....is the AFC being overrated in terms of how strong the conference is at the top? Sure, Buffalo is ranked 1st in both by relatively wide margins, but the next 3 teams are all NFC teams....Eagles, 49ers, Cowboys in some order.
  2. As does Pro Football Reference's SRS ratings...Bengals are a distant 2nd in the AFC. Eagles and Cowboys, a slightly less distant 2nd in the NFC.
  3. DVOA ranks the Bills first, by a relatively wide margin over Philly.
  4. Allen on Monday Nights in his career: 6 games, 18 TDs, 2 INTs, 113.9 QB Rating. I don't think it's dumb at all...it's almost like you are out playing with your little brother and you try some things that you wouldn't do normally against better people because you don't think it will matter ultimately and you just assume you can beat him when you need to. Sometimes it is hard to get out of that mindset while the game is going on. Usually you see this happen after the Bills have a lead and he gets a little sloppy.
  5. Allen stats on 6 career Monday Night games? 18 TDs, 2 INTs, 113.9 QB rating.
  6. Oh that's right! Russ actually looked pretty good in that game once they started coming back...they might have won that game if he was able to finish it...
  7. Pretty much the same as ever...PrimeTime rating in his career is 107.9 and has the highest postseason rating for a QB in NFL History. Basically when the stage is the biggest and the lights are the brightest and the games are the most important, Allen delivers like no other. Such a great ability to have and why I think he will win at least one SB for us...it's hard to find players like that, so many QB's shrink from the moment like Kyler Murray.
  8. Mahomes tried to give the game away to the Broncos a few weeks ago when they played...they led 27-0 and then 3 INTs later KC was hanging on for dear life 34-28, including the last one giving the Broncos the ball back near midfield after the return late in the 4th with a chance to win the game...then Russ returned the favor and threw a pick back and they ran out the rest of the clock.
  9. EPA since week 8:
  10. Similar to McD in his first year actually...
  11. If I remember in the mic'd up for Week 3, Allen was yelling "Jockstrap" in the huddle after he ran and slid excitedly and everyone was wondering WTF is he talking about...now we know hahahaha
  12. So much great info all in one thread...have at it.
  13. Burrow already has talked about how he doesn't care about taking sacks. Wonder if that changes at some point.
  14. Doesn't seem to be the case here, but yeah I agree with that.
  15. "Coming up at 8pm Eastern/7pm Central, Motor and Himbo!" 😂😂
  16. Bills also are still a better DVOA team over the past 7 games than the Bengals, ranking 2nd to SF when just filtering that timeframe out. Cincy is 5th, not sure how close behind as I would need paid access to see that, but appears it would be significantly behind since KC is 3rd and 6+% lower than us. FWIW, the Bills DVOA in the past 7 games is higher than the season DVOA, so it has helped to increase it.
  17. I actually like the fact he pulled a Drake and kept his childhood friends closest to him as he became more famous. "No new friends"
  18. Allen in the playoffs is like SuperMan
  19. They are almost exactly even. Bengals average 0.6 yards more per game over the last 7 games. 396.9 to 396.3. Bills have been 3rd in the NFL in rushing yards per game during that time at 164.0, trailing only the Bears(169.9) and Ravens(166.4). Very similar to last year where they led the league in rushing over the last month of the season at ove 200 yards per game
  20. But yet the Bengals don't score points the way you would expect with the skill position players they have. They have highest scoring team in the NFL potential, but they fall well short of that most games. The Bills average more points and yards than the Bengals do.
  21. DVOA is probably a better way to look at it as it standardizes games against opponents to make good performances against bad teams less valuable and good performances against good teams more valuable. Buffalo is significantly better in DVOA than Cincy is. We are #1 at 32.7%, Cincy is #7 at 16.2% sandwiched directly between Baltimore at 6 and Miami at 8. This says they are a good to very good team but not an elite one. Not even the best in their own division. We are better in all facets. Offense we are 3rd, they are 5th. Defense we are 4th, they are 14th, ST we are 7th they are 20th. We should win this game, we are a better team.
  22. Vegas set an NFL record for blowing double digit second half leads this year He runs an offense that is as bad or worse a fit for Wilson than Hackett's was.
  23. Teams also played their base defense much more often which allowed heavy passing teams to get favorable matchups against LBs who were far less athletic for the most part than they are today as they were more run stoppers then. You can go both ways on this, see?
