  1. Why didn't Allen just run it? He had literally 10 yards in front of him easily.
  2. I mean I can't discount this. It seems really strange how he went from playing amazing in the first half to terrible in the 2nd and then that continued this week, which might be expected if he continued to practice as normal during the week.
  3. I'd say the slot WR in general...Crowder only had 6 catches before going down for the year most likely with a broken ankle(maybe he can return late in the year), McKenzie has been nowhere and Shakir has had a few bright spots, but is still a rookie. This played a huge role for us on offense the last few years and we are getting almost nothing from it now.
  4. If we look at it objectively, the Miami game was lost due to ridiculous numbers of players being out by the 4th quarter, the Bills leaving huge numbers of points on the field and the heat. The Jets game was lost due to honestly, really bad play on both sides of the ball(to the Bills Standard at least), and stupid turnovers, one to take points off the board, the other giving the Jets the ball inside our own 20. but both teams basically had to play really well still to beat us, and the Bills have to be beside themselves because at the end of the day, they honestly just beat themselves mostly, regardless of how well the other team played. And they lost late in the 4th quarter after leading most of the game by 2 points and 3 points. That's how far we have come...any loss is really not acceptable anymore.
  5. There isn't really any memo to get...those plays are there for the taking if he goes there first. The problem is Allen wants to wait for longer developing routes, doesn't have the time for them to develop and by the time he comes back to the shorter options, they aren't as open as they were immediately. He is facing 2 high shells again and unlike the Rams/Titans games doesn't seem willing to just take the easy throws now.
  6. So what's happened with this is he has been under pressure a lot, but instead of adjusting and being like "well the OLine isn't going to hold up as well as I thought", and starting to dump the ball down, he still wants to go deep but the timing gets disrupted by him having to move around. Additionally both GB and the Jets are good in coverage as well, so it's not as effective as if he was doing that against lesser teams. Basically Allen hasn't been willing to go back to playing dink and dunk when it's been needed after all of these deep throws he has been hitting lately...it's like he's so amped up to make those plays he doesn't want to go back to the boring ones. But we need him to... Perhaps the worst thing in the game was opening up with a long bomb to Diggs because that only had him amped up even more to continue trying to do it even tho the covesge dictated to dump it down short. So basically, good pressure up from mixed with good coverage by the D has made it more difficult for Allen to find guys open deep. The adjustment is to take the easy throws that are there. Same thing as Mahomes didn't do last year during his slump for many games. This likely is always going to be a problem at some point during the year for Allen...he will be fine, he just needs to take more easy plays.
  7. I can say on the outside runs, Johnson and to a lesser degree Hamlin have been taking terrible angles allowing for some big gains. Yesterday alone Johnson had two plays where he was in position to make a play to hold it to a 2 yard gain, but instead took a bad angle to try and make a play for a 1 yard loss and got outflanked by the RB when he bounced it outside. Even worse is Johnson doesn't have the speed to make up for taking bad angles, so both runs went for like 20+. He needs to be replaced by Marlowe ASAP if Poyer is going to miss anymore time.
  8. Intersting question that nobody has brought up...there were about 24 seconds left on the clock when the Davis play happened on 4th down incomplete... With no TO left, would the Bills have been able to get everyone that far downfield in time to get set and snap the ball? Talking about running 70 yards downfield and getting set to snap it. You'd think they would, but it would have been interesting to find out.
  9. Yeah I am not worried long term, it's just frustrating that he has learned that sometimes checking the ball down all game and taking a few shots when you have the chance is the best thing for the offense. I think the first play of the game where he hit Diggs for like 40 yards probably was the worst thing that could have happened because it put him into attack mode downfield and he never came out of it.
  10. How many times can you force the Chiefs to punt and get nothing out of it.
  11. There are guys open. The personnel just didn't start sucking
  12. He is...for his own team. When you are playing a QB you are afraid to have throw more than 15 passes in a game you probably should be starting someone else.
  13. Titans had so many chances to win this game and likely are about to lose it
  14. Look at Mahomes with the short game. Take notes Allen.
  15. Similar play to when Kroft caught a ball and it was ruled an INT in the Rams game in 2020
  16. There are plenty of easy plays to be made, Allen has reverted to not being patient again. It's like he just can't help himself...he knows what he should be doing...clearly, as the Rams and Titans games showed, but he wants to make a big play so badly he bypasses them for the deeper more risky option.
  17. It looked like he either had his back arm grabbed by Gardner or was hand fighting with the back arm and couldn't get it back around to try and catch the ball
  18. Yeah, it's really inexplicable...like the few big plays early in those games have deterred him from wanting to take the short throws. It's like he is like "they'll be there all game" and he refuses to take the easy throws he is being given.
  19. I think his attack downfield mindset is getting him into trouble. He has gotten away from the lessons he learned in the Rams game where he kept checking the ball down over and over in the fieet half.
  20. Yeah allowing them to run the ball down the field from their own 4 yard line is inexcusable
  21. I think Allen has got to a point where things have been so easy for him for so long that he kind of has brought this on himself. He doesn't make adjustments when the OLine isn't doing as well, he still wants to push the ball downfield and thinks he can just run around and make up for it. We needed the Rams game Josh Allen today and he wanted to be the Steelers game Josh Allen.
