Are you insane? You don't pay RBs 14.1 million in the NFL anymore.
-
Starting to come around to this idea more and more if it's at 27 and they don't move up. I mean the comparison for him is Saquon Barkley...he would help the run game as much as OLinemen would. We talk about the need to draft elite players? Well, this would be an elite player and probably far better than anyone else available at our pick. I doubt he is there tho. Always some team that will value him highly as the best RB in the class.

AV is a sum of their career total, I think you are simply not understanding it. Watkins has a 51 AV and 9 seasons, meaning he averages 5.7 AV per year. Jefferson has a 41 AV and 3 seasons meaning he has an average of 13.7. If Jefferson simply puts up similar numbers, he would have almost 123 AV in the same time period as Watkins. Trying to use Career AV doesn't work unless you are comparing the same number of years. You would need to take AV/year if you are trying to use it compare players in the way you are trying to use it for, otherwise it makes no sense.

Pretty scathing story on Wilson and one that raises a lot of questions of legal improprieties and potentially illegal payment for people working there to do work for the Wilson's Family Office instead. Spend 600K in charitable contributions in 2020-2021 but 1.1 million on salaries to run their Non-Profit, which were far higher than other non-profit salaries in the area. Wilson could be in real trouble if the IRS, Department of Labor or other investigative body decides to take a closer look at this... https://www.yahoo.com/sports/russell-wilsons-why-not-foundation-174735657.html

It really is amazing how people think every other team drafts superstar players in the first round every year.
-
Hate to break the news to you, but McD is not only NOT on the hot seat, it's probably about as ice cold as it could get. You are dreaming if you think he is going anywhere without multiple losing seasons with a good team.

I think what it shows is that teams tend to trend towards the mean over a long enough time period. Buffalo over the 6 year period still has much higher DraftAV than either CIN or KC as a whole.
-
So basically they had 3 great drafts followed by 3 "Meh" drafts, while CIN and KC had a top draft in successive seasons in 2020 and 2021, which tells a pretty good story. Also both had rookie draft classes that performed better than ours this year.

Josh Downs? Zay Flowers?

Yeah, they have them pretty often there...nobody injured that I know of, it was more central southern Turkey, most of my family still there lives near Istanbul. Nope...Big Turk is because I am Turkish(my Dad is from Istanbul) and I have been a gym rat for a while so I have some pretty decent size...it was actually a nickname given to me by a friend that stuck so now a lot of my friends call me that...
-
Turkey just had a 7.8 magnitude one this morning and it collapsed buildings and killed at least 1300 people from the reports... They have a lot of major ones there...remember my Mom telling me when she was there they had one and she thought she was going to die because the entire room shifted to one side of the house. My Dad grew up in Istanbul and told me some crazy stories too...

Buffalo lies very close to the Clarendon-Linden Fault Line and we actually have quite a few earthquakes here, just normally under a 3.0 magnitude so they aren't really felt. The last one I remember before this was maybe 35 years ago when I was growing up and it lasted for about a minute or so and shook the chandelier in the dining room.

OT…Daniel Jones about to be a very very rich man
Big Turk replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jones is a QB that can get you to the playoffs some years but will never get you much further than that. Basically you are hamstringing yourself at the QB position and preventing yourself from potentially getting better at it. Jones has a ceiling similar to Andy Dalton in Cincinnati, aka not high enough if you are hoping to compete for championships. -
Josh = Phil Rivers (just messenger)

Burrow actually kinda sucks in the playoffs. His stats impress no one. -

How many teams can Singletary start on
Big Turk replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall
Handing the ball off to a RB versus Allen keeping it is always a win for the defense. Trust me, they would love nothing more than for us to keep handing it off. -

So what? So do lots of backs. Show me one team that really plays to stop the run on a consistent basis and I will show you a team that probably has 4 or 5 wins. -
PSA: This is Sean McDermott's defense, not Leslie Frazier's
Big Turk replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
He isn't. Except in your mind. McD living rent free there. -
It won't matter.

Jags D looked pretty good against us in their most recent meeting...

OT…Daniel Jones about to be a very very rich man
Big Turk replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
From Spotrac, his market value is estimated to be right around what I said...$25-30 million. But let's be real...that's still a lot of money, so I guess it depends on your definition of "very rich". However, compared to other QB's, he is average. He's made $26.2 million so far in his career, so this would basically give him a 1 year salary of what he made for the past 4 years, which by any accounts is very good if you can get a 4 for 1, and also likely give him a huge payday this year when factoring in the signing bonus which he gets up front. -
Exactly what does the Head Coach do????
Big Turk replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
Part of the reason why many head coaches fail is because they have to deal with so much off the field stuff and do it well also. Many OC's and DC's have no idea they have that type of responsibility about to be heaped on top of them in addition to some football stuff and they struggle mightily with the transition. HC's basically manage the team not only from a football aspect but from the "business" aspect as well. If you don't have the ability to be a good manager and can only do football X's and O's stuff you are likely not going to do very well as a head coach because you will be in way over your head and will try to do everything yourself instead of delegating to others. Then you need to be good at understanding what is able to be delegated to others and still done effectively and what you have to retain for yourself because delegating that would not be effective or get done as well as if you did it yourself. Basically you need to be very good at football and very good at managing people and very good at running a business to succeed at being a HC, which is why so many assistants do not do well. They have the football side, but lack at least one of the other two sides. In reality, there are not a lot of people who can excel in all three areas compared to the number of assistants out there.
