By all accounts this is nothing more than a pain management issue and there is virtually no chance to injure it further outside of being hit on the same area in the same way again, which is unlikely as it's been 4 years between occurrences. Firstly, ANY sprain is a form of tear. Can be anything from a microtear(what Allen likely has) to a full year. Secondly, the UCL is not utilized much in throwing a football. The Ulnar Nerve is likely a bigger concern as that would effect his ability to grip the ball(why he "dirted" the next throw 3 yards in front of Diggs).

Their O should be much better than it actually is when you look at their skill position players. The reason it isn't is because of their QB. He is just milquetoast.

Because he isn't injured at all and is fully practicing per Sal with no red jersey on. His day to day designation is not related to injury but to ramping him up into football shape and more importantly gameday ready shape.

That's good news but Elam going from Limited to DNP and Edmunds and Poyer still being DNP most certainly is not. Imagine if he could have had Allen throwing him bombs?? Based on him leaving the game in obvious pain immediately after the play his rookie year and grimacing in pain on the sideline when examined versus him flexing his arm as if he lost feeling in his arm not because he was in pain this past Sunday. Also uncorking a ball 70 yards afterwards with no visible pain reaction caught on camera is probably a pretty good indication. It's honestly common sense more than anything. You can't uncork a ball 70 yards with the same injury where you couldn't even move your arm without being in severe pain 4 years ago.

Different situation...that is getting back into football shape and more importantly GAMEDAY football shape, which should be expected to take longer.

It's 99.9% a Grade I Sprain which is a micro tear. He missed 4 games with a Grade II Sprain his rookie year and this is not remotely close to as bad as that.

Highly doubt a day-to-day player misses more than one game.
