He is NOT a precision route runner which is what is needed from your slot receiver.

If Allen doubled back, he might have scored...he had 3 OL standing there and nobody out that way on the defense.

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills
Big Turk replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem I have noticed in the 2nd half is teams adjust to stop whatever the Bills did well to run the ball in the 1st half. It doesn't normally take much to get the Bills out of running the ball to begin with, but once they start getting nothing or losing yards on 1st down, it makes it even easier. Bills need to stick with it, OR know there will be an adjustment and start doing other things to mix it up. Outside runs, reverses, some non shotgun runs, etc... But overall, it's not like the Bills are being stopped offensively, they are still moving the ball down the field for the most part, it's bad decisions in the RZ that are killing them in the last 3, and in the Miami game, just bad execution. -

I mean...we are the #1 offense in the NFL at over 424 yards a game. Let's not act like they are 21st or something. The one thing I WOULD like to see more of in the RZ is the Allen designed runs...he was exceptionally effective on them especially inside the 10 yard line. -
The Bills lost yesterday because… (karma reasons only)

I have worn my Allen jersey every week instead of mixing it up to one of the other 3...next week it's going to be Diggs or if White is back for his first game, I am going with Takeaway Tre. -
Actually I think the 3 losses may have cemented the fact they ARE the best team. Look at what had to happen for those teams who are a combined 23-7 to actually beat us. The entire secondary had to be out. Other injured players out. We had to hand them the game multiple times via terrible decisions and plays, turn the ball over multiple times and they STILL barely won and all 3 times trailed late into the 2nd half. And yet it STILL came down to the last possession of the game all 3 times. I am not sure there is another team that can have all of those things go against them at the same time in a game against a good team and not get blown out.

Funnily enough Mahomes has 7, 3 less than Allen and nobody is crucifying him.

Ehh...the only thing to really "figure out" to turn it around is to stop turning the ball over at an NFL high rate. Frazier is limited in what he can do when he has the entire starting secondary out and missing a LB as well. Not sure what you want him to do. Personnel dictates much of that. Offensively is the head scratcher tho...how has a player that set an NFL record for most snaps inside the RZ without an INT to start a career suddenly an INT machine there? He keeps trying to force the ball to the endzone when there are better options that will move the chains or get them closer. That Steelers game might have been the worst thing for him this year...he has been trying to attack downfield ever since and forgot the lessons he learned in the Rams/Titans games.

Every year will have adversity at some point in some way. Injuries to key players, losing streaks where teams don't play well, mistakes by the QB, etc. This seems to be the time during the season it happens to teams, not only the Bills. The last 3 SB winners all had similar adversity at this time of the year hit. In 2019, KC lost 4 of 6 to go to 6-4 on the season. They didn't lose another game all year and won the SB. In 2020, TB lost 3 of 4 including a 38-3 shellacking to NO and went to 7-5. They didn't lose another game and went on to win the SB. In 2021, the Rams lost 3 straight including a 31-10 manhandling by SF to go to 7-4 and lost one more game(the final one of the year to SF again) and won the SB. The point is, it isn't preventing adversity from hitting that is important. That's nearly impossible. What IS important is how the team responds once it does hit. I still think this is the best team in the NFL. Yeah they have thrown 3 games away in inexcusable fashion(the Miami one I can at least understand). I'm not happy about it and I am sure they aren't either. But I expect them to respond in a way that will assert their dominance again. I guess we will find out but if last year is any indication, that's when we see their best football.

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills

We still have half the season to play...let's see what happens before we assume the Bills will need to be on the road. Last year many assumed they would lose the division to the Patriots after 12 games. The lack of designed Allen runs is noticeable there. He excelled at those. -
They could easily run the table. They have beaten themselves 3 times even with all the injuries and it took everything to go right from good teams with a combined 23-7 record to win by 3 points or less on the final possession. With the Bills leading the NFL in turnover rate. And making numerous mind numbing plays to lose those games. I don't think this team would lose another game if they have 1 TO or less in games.

He is learning on the job. Same way as most people do. I think he will figure things out, might take him a little while. It's hard to complain about Dorsey when Allen has THREE!! great layup options to take on the final play and takes the one option that is a high risk, high reward play to try and end the game. There was no need for it.

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills

The last two teams to win the SB were the Bucs and Rams...both of whom had similar stretches in the middle of the year. TB lost 3 of 4 games including a 38-3 blowout to NO and were 7-5. Rams lost 3 in a row including a 31-10 rout by the 49ers and were 7-4. Both recovered and lost a total of one game after that combined on the way to their SB wins. There is no reason the Bills can't do this. They have the talent to. They just need to stop beating themselves firstly. Because they haven't had another team beat them yet this year in all honesty.
