Even if they are plowed there will likely be big piles of snow taking up spots and for the people who typically park in people's lawns and walk to the game those will not be available. Additionally, there is no telling what the driving conditions will be during that time period...if the area is in a 3-4-5 inch per hour lake band there will be issues seeing the tail lights of the car in front of you In blizzard conditions with no coat and only a pair of shoes, no boots right? 🤣

The logistics of trying to get to the game, find parking and then get home will likely require a LOT of extra planning.

2+ feet likely will occur by Friday night in some places at least, maybe not OP tho.

I am out in Depew/Town of Lancaster and we got 4 feet of snow one day, worked our asses off for like 2-3 hours to clear that and then got hit with another 3 feet of snow the next day. I was so dead tired from having to do most of the work by hand(the snow was so deep the snowblower was getting stuck) that I literally drove the cars out in the middle of the road with 7 feet of snow on them and took the shovel and dumped it on the street for the plow. Total A-Hole move but I didn't care at that point.

Depew/Town of Lancaster out by Central/Walden. We got buried last Snowvember...7 feet. We get hammered by the lake bands that go over Lackawanna, skirt just south of Downtown Buffalo, get us with a direct bullseye and then head out to Batavia... About 8-10 minutes east of the airport...

This has a chance to be historic...it is VERY VERY rare for them to be talking like this 60+ hours before the storm even gets here. And as usual for these type of events, it gets worse the closer we get to it happening.

The Winter Storm Watch has been updated and the initial 1 to 2 feet of snow expected has changed to "MULTIPLE feet of snow expected." As I expected. The forecast discussion also now says there are stark similarities between what is about to happen and Snowvember in terms of how things are setting up. I'm expecting more than that. IMO that is going to be the bare minimum. Also still expecting additional significant accumulations after the initial watch has ended...this could be one of those things where they issue another watch while the initial storm is ongoing for the secondary one to start.

72 Dolphins would be celebrating but it was past most of their bedtimes so I am sure they will all be on the phone at 5am when they wake up with no alarm clocks as old fogies do.

Because when football started way back in the early days, pushing the runner was a huge part of the game and many times the games became huge masses of bodies pushing the runner forward as the plays and it devolved into a giant scrum. The game was very much boring and pints were common, many times kicked on 2nd or 3rd downs and were the "excitement" of the game that many times would end 0-0 or with a single team scoring one time to win. It's a long way of saying because it's always been a part of the sport.

I mean they have definitely improve since Wrecks Ryan's tenure...they would have had 12 guys on the field and still allowed a walk in TD. I believe that only applies to an offensive player. Right, but what I mean is the refs could have ruled it a TD and that would have likely not been able to be overturned. Ironically, if they ruled it a TD it might have given us the few extra seconds we needed to go for a TD at the end of the game to win it when we had to kick a FG with only 5 seconds left.

Ehh...Northtowns and into Niagara County have the best of it...they only get 40-60 inches on average. Buffalo itself gets almost 100 inches and is the snowiest largish city in the US. Have also won the National Golden SnowGlobe 2 of the last 3 years for most snowfall which includes all cities over 100K population(including Alaska). Still hold the record for most snowfall in a season of any city with over 100K population as well with 199.2 inches. But yes, in general the Southtowns gets more snow. However, the snow isn't the worst of it. the worst are the endless cloudy days where you may not see the sun for 2+ weeks at a time and routinely go 7-10 days without seeing it. That and the wind which is brutal, especially as you get closer to the lake...they have lines strung up downtown for people to hold onto when crossing the street for a reason...

Possible but not likely considering they said there is potential for significant accumulations even after the watch expired into early the following week.

I would expect more than that on a lot of places. Record warm lake is bad news.
