Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills
Big Turk replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
Be assured the Bills themselves could care less about this, and if they are aware of it are probably laughing about it in the locker room...just like the "Bickering Bills" were. Comes off as media people who likely never played sports at any level that have no idea what actually goes on in a locker room thinking something is weird or out of line, when it's normal. Not a blizzard. A Lake effect Snow event. -
That's the Mike Mularkey fake QB sneak play
-
Why? It's effective and it works. I am sure there will be a wrinkle in there to throw out of it as well at some point once teams over commit to stopping it.
-
If they hold the game in Highmark it will be interesting. Would expect a travel ban for much of this lake snows event for Erie County starting late Thursday thru early Sunday to try and keep people off the roads and give them time to work on plowing them without having to deal with traffic and cars getting stuck all over and/or in ditches. Likely will have stretches of the I-90 and 219 closed for 48+ hours as well. Looking at the NOAA forecast that gives details for Thursday night, expected snowfall is 10-16 inches in Depew/Lancaster so it's going to quickly get out of pocket for snow plows right from the get go. It's actually expected to start in the Southtowns/Southern Erie now tonight

These are the type of games the Pats love...ugly 17-13 type of game.

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills
Big Turk replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
Players have regularly spoken about at some point how it is more of a mental thing than a physical thing with trusting your body and leg to be back to normal and trusting it will be fine if you push it hard and do things like you used to before getting hurt, especially with serious long term injuries like ACL's. Perhaps Tre doesn't trust his body enough and isn't giving the coaches enough confidence to put him back in yet. -
Neither are you Negative Nancy. Just curious, has the sky started falling yet?

JFC now illness is causing multiple guys to be out...could this season devolve into more of a disaster with team health?

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills

The best thing is...we have Josh F**king Allen and he is likely to figure it out sooner rather than later based on prior results. -
According to 538 without factoring in any future results, the Bills are still the favorite to win the division and still have the 2nd highest odds to win the SB. Once again, placing way too much importance on what is happening in week 10. Should have learned that lesson that it isn't too important overall from the last 3 SB winners.

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills

You are making it sound as if the Bills are the only thing with stuff like this going on. I would virtually guarantee there is similar stuff going on with every team across the NFL. To suggest you are going to have 150+ people all involved that will get along great, have no friction and sing Kum-Bay-Yah for 9 months a year is silliness. As was the case of The Bickering Bills, it will likely be more of a media generated issue than an actual issue. -
Here is a scenario that could very well play out over the next 3 weeks. KC loses to either the Chargers/Bengals(preferably Chargers) and beats the Rams. Bills win all games against the Browns, Lions and Pats. Dolphins on a bye and then beat Houston but lose to the 49ers. Ravens win all games against Car, Jax and Den. Bengals win against Pit and Ten but lose to KC Chargers win all 3 against KC, Ari and LV. Patriots win against Jets, Vikings and lose to Bills. Jets lose to Patriots and Eagles, win against Chi. Titans win against GB but lose to Cin and Phi. The auxiliary teams other than the Bills, Chiefs and Dolphins don't seem to matter much in terms of this, most of the other results save for those teams only sway things a few percentage points. Basically at this point the Bills would have a 98% to make the playoffs, a 77% chance to win the division and a 42% chance of getting the 1st round bye(highest in the AFC) and a 19% chance to win the SB(highest in the NFL) according to 538 NFL game simulator. Even if the Dolphins beat the 49ers, the Bills are still favored to win the division(61% to 35% for the Fins) For some reason, won't let me post a screenshot but you can go play with it yourself and check it out.

They are off their game more than a lot of people realize. They seem to always do just enough in those games to win tho, like the Titans game for example.
-
It's hard to have enough depth when the entire starting secondary is out and multiple other players on D. At some point, too much becomes too much.
-
The scheme is designed to take away deep passing. You can't take away everything. The likelihood in today's NFL of getting beaten by a deep pass is far higher than getting gashed for an 80 yard run if they tried the reverse. There is never going to be a perfect defensive scheme that takes away everything but Frazier's scheme is sound and works well for the most part.

How about the Derek Anderson 2 for 17 game which we still managed to lose 🤮

The good thing is those aren't based on how we play now...just like none of those things would have happened at this point in the season for any of the last 3 teams that won the SB if we were looking at it objectively after 10-12 games. KC lost 4 of 6 to go to 6-4, TB lost 3 of 4 to go to 7-5, including a 38-3 demolition job at the hands of the Saints, and Rams lost 3 straight to go to 7-4, including getting bombed by the 49ers 31-10. In the end, it didn't matter how they were playing in week 10, 11 or 12. Just like it won't matter with this team. -
So here are things to consider for the game... What if Erie County issues a travel ban like they normally do in these situations? Nobody who cannot walk/snowmobile can legally attend the game? Those bans typically last far longer than you would think...perhaps they make an exception, but how does having 70K people trying to get to a single point help them? Could be a logistics nightmare. What if the I-90/219 is closed? Just not a good situation no matter what if they decide to play the game here. Likely everywhere else will suffer from lack of plowing trying to ensure their plows keep paths to the stadium clear, and there is no guarantee they can keep up with it anyway.
-
Yeah, it is almost always one of the backup players/rookies that ends up costing us huge in those situations...against the Jets it was Johnson with his terrible run angles(note he was benched for Lewis in the Vikings game), and against the Vikings it was Bernard in space not making the tackle or at least slowing Cook down so others could help.
-
If you select by Defensive Rank, the Jets end up with the 1 seed at 14-3...LMAO
-
And if Mahomes gets injured? Never can make assumptions that far ahead.
-
Probably would get a refund for the tickets itself but perhaps not of the stubhub fees? The key thing is..."according to models and as of right now." Been through far too many of these events where things end up far different from what was forecast both for duration, intensity and location and usually those don't become apparent until you are in the event itself. Snowvember was basically the same way...bands simply stayed in place far longer and with more intensity than initially expected. It appears the overall snow total has backed down somewhat from earlier models, but again...we will see what happens during the event and those expected totals can rapidly change.
