  1. How's that working out for them? Their offense is a trainwreck. Defensive players are calling out the plays they are running with regularity
  2. The challenge is getting there. OP had 66 inches of snow
  3. The White Wall. I've seen it a few times...it's pretty wild when you go from clear roads and visibility to the "whoosh" of entering it and immediately go to snow covered roads and not able to see hardly at all
  4. There is almost always going to be less snow in those locations. Has been for as long as there has been Lake Effect snow. The typical wind direction favors Ski Country, the Southtowns, the Eastern Suburbs and the Buffalo Metro area near the airport in that order. I am not sure why anyone would be surprised that Amherst, Tonawanda, NT, Grand Island, Niagara Falls, Lewiston, Lockport or any of the other northern areas are not hit as much. It's how it is almost every time there is a Lake Snow event. Hamburg has 4+ feet as of a little after 1PM...could be close to 5 by now.
  5. Nope...the band got pushed further south than they thought before stalling out...they knew the shortwave trough was coming and that the models were aggressive in the band pushing south, but local experience showed them this usually did not happen once it was set up and organized....this time it did.
  6. Lake Effect Snow Warning for Southern Erie County expiring at 1AM tomorrow morning but now another Lake Effect Snow Watch has been issued for 7pm Saturday to 1pm Sunday for an additional 9+ inches. So there actually MIGHT have been snow during the game unlike some were saying...
  7. Allen off the injury report and is playing. Poyer was a FP(if they would have practiced) but is listed as questionable.
  8. Dunleavy is worse because he goes out of his way to try and come up with cool goal calls and names for the players and they are mostly roll your eyes lame.
  9. Just like Hamilton was when he was trying to get with Eliza?? 🤣 That was an event a month and a half in the making---it snowed for 35 straight days prior to that and there were a lot of plows down and broken due to how much they were in use prior to the actual storm itself. The wind blew the snow with such force that it crystallized and turned into something like concrete and wasn't even be able to be moved by plows, they had to use heavy equipment to break it. When they talk about once in a 1,000 year events, this literally was one of them...the required things that had to happen for such a long time prior to the actual storm occurring were crazy.
  10. Looks like in about 30-45 minutes I should be starting to be in the band again and then within 2 hours I should be in the middle of the band with the real heavy stuff
  11. In the Town of Lancaster area, have about 2 feet here, maybe a little less...snow shifted south we are currently right north of the upper band but it has begun shifting north again and still are expecting an addition 20-30 inches by tomorrow morning. Yeah, that was a little bit of a surprise...they knew there was a shortwave trough coming through and guidance showed it could push the band south but local experience was that once a band is setup strongly that usually isn't enough to move it...apparently this time was different.
  12. Browns starting CB Greg Newsome might miss the game due to a potential concussion suffered in practice today...in the protocol, status in doubt for the game.
  13. The mental part can be a real challenge to overcome...they are afraid to do certain movements at full speed that they need to for fear of injuring the leg again or because it "doesn't feel quite right" even though there is no real chance for any structural damage to occur.
  14. Was supposed to but it appears the heaviest will be in South Buffalo through Lancaster. Northtowns will still get a good amount tho
  15. Depends on where you are. I have about 20 inches and it's still snowing...Lakeview area got around 3 feet, OP/WS got anywhere from 20-30" by this morning.
  16. Wow...looks like he may be out of a job soon. Shades of Britt Reid...luckily he didn't hit anyone. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/titans-oc-todd-downing-arrested-142650568.html
  17. We make fun of the Titans but Vrabel is a damn good coach. They have dealt with a lot of injuries/adversity like we have and even to their QB but have won 7 of their last 8 games.
  18. A guy I work with down in OP/WS border area says he has 26" and counting...
  19. Back injury from shoveling? Eye injury from being hit in a snowball fight?
  20. Appears the heaviest snow expected has shifted just south of the airport down through the stadium area and out to the eastern suburbs
