What Happened After Halftime of the Packers Game?
Big Turk replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not sure what part of he was saving his arm for the throws he really needed it for you missed. It isn't a question of "can he do it", it's a question of "how much does it hurt" when he does it and if he can avoid that pain then he will when it's not absolutely needed. Romo seemed pretty certain his elbow was bothering him on some throws, but what would he know...he only played for a decade in the NFL as a QB and played hurt a bunch too. -
What Happened After Halftime of the Packers Game?

They were dominating the Packers in the first half and the Bills looked like the Greatest Show on Turf. By the way he is finessing so many throws and saving the fastballs for only the plays he really feels he needs them for. Now that he is a full go in practice maybe he feels ready to let it rip again more often. -
Phillips has done this a few times this year actually.

Because the other QB gets them blown out and looks incompetent

No, why would it be? It's like any other situation. Now if they tried this over and over again then you might get into a situation where they penalize you for it but realistically you can't really move back any father at a certain point.

I don't know if I have ever seen this before...the Seahawks player runs out on the field to block after they intercept Carr. Apparently if this would have been a pick 6, it would have counted since turnovers are automatically reviewed just like scoring plays are? Just an egregious miss by both on field and NFL officials. How is it possible to miss a guy running off the bench right in view of the camera??

He has done that pretty much in every game I have watched, which has been at least 5 of them this year. He makes some nice plays but often the big plays are to wide open guys who have to wait for the ball to come down, or have to bail him out with a nice catch(for as short as he is, Hill is one of the best 50/50 ball players in the NFL). He still has way too many "meh" plays and throws for my liking.

I have a friend that had an ACL reconstruction(the only person I know that had one) and I asked him what the biggest issue Tre will have coming back and without any hesitation he said confidence. Said Tre will be dealing with pops and cracks from scar tissue for months even though it's fully "healed" and he has to not think that every time he hears it that something is "wrong" with his knee. He said that even 3 years later he had a pop that was so loud just walking around Wegmans that other people there stopped to look at him. He also said it is very likely White doesn't feel like he is 100% because of what I just mentioned and because he isn't able to do things as well as he could do them prior to injury yet, but the catch 22 is that he won't ever reach that level again until he gets through that scar tissue issue and realizes that he isn't going to re-injure it even with it making weird noises or getting some weird feelings in there at times due to it. But do they have big butts? Maybe Beane likes big butts and he cannot lie. 😂

It's truly absurd that despite all the pre-season pundits saying the AFC West was going to be the toughest division in the NFL, it is one of the worst with only KC having a positive net point differential and they also get one of the easiest schedules in the NFL based on their other opponents. Bills have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL and play in the only division where all 4 teams have a positive net point differential, and ironically the team leading the division currently, the Dolphins, have the worst of the bunch at +26, which means that we play in the toughest division in football now. In fact it's the only division with more than 2 teams with a positive net point differential...NFC South has NO teams with a positive differential and the NFC North only has the Vikings with a positive differential, which is an absurdly low 5 points for a team that is 9-2.

Wow...that is about as good of news as we could have hoped for on the guys who were out last week...all of them full participants...would imagine the ones out with illness will be good to go by Thursday with 3 days to recover and plenty of intervention. And Edmunds

Browns fans had to deal with a skunk in the stands during the game
Big Turk replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Security Guard put a box over it and it was removed safely. From the yahoo article I posted, it appears the skunk got in there of its own doing and was not a case of someone bringing it in. -
Like I want someone to say something else!

Pretty much all of the mic'd up videos feature a lot of players saying "Love you" to each other and saying "Good S**t!" when they make a big play or TD.

practiced two days straight

To Tyler Bass before they took the field on the last drive: "Hey! You're about to kick the game winner!"

OMG...I HATE that beer so much...was out with my roommate at a club once back in my 20s and he went and bought me a Heineken because I told him I had never had one before and he loved them...I took one sip, barely swallowed it and then handed it to him and told him he could have mine and then went and ordered a Corona. With a lime of course. I am traumatized by Brussel Sprouts from growing up and my Mom making them regularly and would never willingly eat one again in my life, but if I had to choose between drinking a Heineken and eating an equivalent amount of Brussel Sprouts, I might have to go Sprouts. Heineken is just one of the foulest tastes I have ever had the displeasure to have in my mouth. -
It would be hard to see illness 3 days from the game being a reason a player missed a game. I mean I am sure it has happened before but would be very unlikely. TJ has a knack for making clutch plays in the big moment tho...101 yard INT against Baltimore in the playoffs and INT to end the game against KC this year...also turned the tide of the Steeler game with a pick 6 right before the half a few years ago.

He played very well last year when taking over for Tre...even through the first few games this year...which leads me to believe the issue isn't as much with him per se as it is with having to devote resources elsewhere which then prevents them from doing what they normally do...ie, they are playing more man coverages and/or requiring safety help elsewhere. I think the Hyde injury has really hurt them in that regard. Hamlin is pretty good in terms of run defense but a liability in coverage.
