  1. Trevor Lawrence is done...gruesome knee injury... https://mobile.twitter.com/PFN365/status/1599487474002456576
  2. No team is going to sign a player without seeing him workout so it's a little bit of a red flag that he isn't doing any workouts on these visits.
  3. I mean compared to a team like the Bengals with 2 legit #1 WRs and a great slot receiver in Chase, Higgins, and Boyd and having Joe Mixon at RB, yeah probably don't have THAT level of talent... But let's look at KC... outside of Kelce, who are you taking over what we have man for man? Plenty of people on Chief boards are saying they would trade the entire group of skill position players with the Bills in a heartbeat.
  4. Report out that many believe it's unlikely OBJ is fully healthy and that he likely won't contribute much this year.
  5. Why do I keep thinking he is in his 4th year?? You are right...it's only year 3.
  6. So the Bills expected more than being a top 30 WR in YPG?
  7. Typically when a WR is a high YPC guy, it means his usage is on deeper routes, which typically have lower completion rates. Davis was that for much of the first half of the year but now seems to be running shorter routes more frequently... perhaps dictated by coverage or by protection(or lack there of). That was the main thing I was trying to say with that. It probably didn't get worded properly. I think in some games Davis is less of a focal point and in other games, more of a focal point. Seems like this is fairly common as the other 4 #2 WRs that are ahead of him in terms of YPG all have between 18-22% of their yardage totals from a single game. Agreed tho...I am not saying there isn't room for improvement, there certainly is. For as good as he does catching with his hands, it seems his drops many times are when he lets it get to his body. The comebacks he run normally aren't as clean as you'd like...possibly because he doesn't truly scare a defender with speed going deep so they don't give as much cushion...John Brown used to be WIDE open on those comebacks because DBs had to respect his deep speed. I think he is a hard worker that is going to probably continue to improve. The question is going to be whether the Bills want to sink the kind of money into a #2 WR that it would take to keep him. I think it's going to be tough to really justify, tbh. Similar to Robert Woods, he is going to get paid by someone...probably won't be the Bills.
  8. Yup...can only act like picks don't matter for so long before they catch up to you. And this is WITH drafting well in later rounds and getting some good players. Imagine if they were like the average team and didn't find hidden gems in later rounds?? The funny thing is, if either KC or Buffalo was the team they faced they likely would have gotten smoked. They got a very favorable matchup.
  9. You are assuming his decision only comes down to winning and not other things.
  10. Talent wise he is. Allen has done so many unique things in NFL history that every time he does a new one we just shrug our shoulders. Kelly was never that.
  11. What a miserable season for the Rams. Hope that SB was worth walking the desert for the foreseeable future. Worst season post super bowl championship in NFL history.
  12. Using a single exception does not make that the norm. That's why you are going to say one versus 20 of them.
  13. Deeper depth of target and higher yards per catch means fewer receptions. Those two are not exclusive.
  14. Dude is an inspiration to people who basically come from nothing and make it big
  15. Yeah because those extra 30 yards mean so much in terms of sample size. Really trying way too hard.
  16. Metcalf had 22.2% of his yards in one game. Higgins had 18% of his yards in one game. Godwin had 19% of his yards in one game. Waddle had 19.1% of his yards in one game. Guess you are determined to show somehow Gabe is different when he really isn't. Maybe he should have saved 30 yards for a different game tho...so his numbers would be "more in line" with these other ones. People keep wanting to believe what they think is true even when statistics show it isn't. It's really mind boggling.
  17. There are literally 4 #2 WRs in the NFL averaging more YPG than Davis. I don't understand where this over inflated expectation comes from #2 WRs in terms of production. Because it simply isn't true except for very few cases. It's really never been true. Cincinnati, Miami, TB and Seattle are the teams with a #2 WR averaging more YPG than Davis. And in Seattle Metcalf is averaging 0.55 yards per game more. I guess there are a LOT of disappointed teams out there. Davis is 44th in targets and 27th in YPG so you can't even use the excuses he is being targeted more than other #2s, as this isn't the case.
  18. The one in the endzone for a TD this year?
  19. I think the Bills absolutely should draft one regardless of my thoughts on Davis. Rookies are far cheaper than players on a second contract and if you can get similar production, it makes sense to pay a rookie versus a 2nd WR 8-12 million a year.
  20. Talking yardage. Gabe's YPC is one of the highest in the NFL. He also has quite a few very big 3rd down conversion catches on key drives this year too. Let's not leave those out. The one leading to the TD right before the half in the Chiefs game on 3rd and 13? near their own endzone was massive.
  21. That's because people have very unrelistic expectations based not in reality. This was never going to happen.
