Seems like even back then, lots of frontrunning bandwagon fans. Funny how we haven't heard much from Pat fans recently...what happened to all of them?? They scurry back under the rug after 20 years in the open?

Josh Allen AFC Offensive Player of the Week (again)
Big Turk replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
A little surprised Trevor Lawrence of Arabia didn't get it, but he had an INT with his 4 TDs and didn't have the rushing yardage Allen did either. -
No Raider fans? Wasn't that at the high point of the "Raider Mystique"?

There is no circumstance that allows a person to assault someone 6 on 1 when there is no immediate threat of bodily harm to you from that person. If they felt unsafe for whatever reason(which is BS because what dude who is 6'5" 250 is going to feel unsafe with 5 other dudes the same size or bigger with them), they had the option to leave. Instead they assaulted him, including smacking him in the face repeatedly with a wine/champagne bottle. What "circumstances" make that OK? LMAO!!! What you didn't see before this is that Willie asked the gentleman for some Polaner All-Fruit and the guy shouted to his friend across the table "Would you please pass the jelly!"...Willie got so offended he had to be held back, a member of his entourage fainted...the Grey Poupon incident was simply the straw that broke the camel's back...can't be dining with Heathen's like that in a swanky club in LA...

Talk about everything all being downhill from there...how could you ever live up to your status in the years after? Impossible...no matter what he did from that point on it would never be good enough.

Christmas storm could be “Paralyzing” for Buffalo
Big Turk replied to CountDorkula's topic in Off the Wall
Hahaha...smart people, although Batavia can get smacked too during stronger events. Ironically they get hit when our area gets smacked hard when the wind takes the band up through Lackawanna, just misses downtown Buffalo and we get a direct bullseye, just missing the airport and out to Batavia. Not that uncommon. -
Christmas storm could be “Paralyzing” for Buffalo

I got almost 4 feet in Lancaster this time and 7 feet in 2014...it was localized but it also dumped a lot of snow in various areas too. When we moved to this area, having grown up in WNY, I had no idea this was considered a snow belt out here east of the airport...I always thought the snowbelts were only in the Southtowns and Southern Tier/Ski Country. Basically after being here for almost 20 years now, a good general rule of thumb is I take whatever the official number is at the airport and add about 20-30" to it as what we got during a given year. Sometimes less, sometimes more, but in general that is about right. -

Winds will definitely play a big part in this one but we will also get quite a bit of snow unlike the Blizzard of 77. New model runs are showing about 20" in the Metro area to 30-50" running up from Erie, PA all the way to the Eastern Burbs of Buffalo like Depew/Lancaster due to heavy lake effect snow that will develop behind the frontal passage. This was not possible during the Blizzard of 77 since the Lake was already frozen. However the 2 months leading up to that set the stage for something that may not be seen again for 10,000 years...the amount of things that all had to come together over a two month period of time for that to occur the way it did was remarkable... There are levels to saying that. Saying that for a storm of this magnitude where all models are in agreeance that it is going to be this severe is the height of idiocy. You don't very many Category 3 land hurricanes coming through this area. You already saw 81" of snow a month ago...did that "over-promise and under-deliver"? -
I've often thought what it would be like if the Bills won the Super Bowl and how many people would show up...but never in my wildest dreams did I think we would be able to do something like this... Holy crap...5+ million showed up in Buenos Aires for their parade... Cannot imagine how long it took to get home from there... https://www.yahoo.com/sports/millions-of-fans-pack-buenos-aires-to-celebrate-argentinas-world-cup-win-210136865.html

Christmas storm could be “Paralyzing” for Buffalo

Prior to 2014 yes...it's happnedd twice in 8 years(to the day) so perhaps it is going to be a once every 8 year event from now on. This is basically a Blizzard of 77 type Storm without 3+ feet of snow on the ground already in Buffalo and on top of the length of frozen Lake Erie to be blown into the city like a giant fan blowing feathers on someone. The pressure will be similar to that of what a Category 3 hurricane is...truly astonishing. -
Sean McDermott - master of the saying nothing
Big Turk replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's got nothing on Belichick. Half the time you can barely understand his low mumbling responses. -
In what world does walking up to someone and starting a 6 on 1 fight then proceeding to smash the man in the face with a giant wine/champagne bottle not constitute some form of assault? Regardless of anything that happened before this, there was no imminent threat to his person so there is no self defense claim, he could have simply walked away and left the area instead of starting that.

EJ Manuel to Robert Woods down the sidelines I remember in this game and this is also the game Fred Jackson stiff armed that poor Bear's safety into oblivion I believe also.
-
That Blizzard of 77 Storm was probably a once in a 10000 year event based on all of the factors that had to come together for it to happen the way it did over a two month period. Truly remarkable when you read about some of the record setting things that occurred from November onward to make what occurred possible.

He was not in the open field running, which is what I was referring to.
-
Damn...50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception was coming up and ironically the Steelers and Raiders were playing on it...so that means he was 22 when that play happened?? RIP...to one of the true legends.
-
He is talking about the Buffalo area not Chicago, we are about to get hammered twice...first with the main storm system and heavy snow with near hurricane force winds, then by heavy lake effect snow... Basically think of this as a Blizzard of 77 level storm without the 3+ feet of snow sitting on the entire length of frozen Lake Erie to blow into Buffalo.

MVP; Hurts / Allen / Mahomes by the numbers...
Big Turk replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hurts played a schedule where literally any QB in the top 25 of the NFL could look like an MVP candidate. Easiest schedule in the NFL. 32nd out of 32. He doesn't have the ability to carry the team like Mahomes or Allen does -
Not in the open field, was in the area between the O and D Lines. I was specifically talking about him being in the open field and fumbling while trying to run over someone
-
Snowfall totals for some areas of WNY have really jumped the past few model runs...Buffalo Metro in the 15-20" range with the area from Erie,PA all the way up to the Eastern burbs of Buffalo looking at potential in the 3-4 feet range... Not really looking forward to this one...even if the snow totals stay down a little there is high potential for power outages and blizzard like conditions for much of the Friday Night - Saturday Night period.
-
He did start to run but even if he was past the LOS(which I don't believe he was) that in no way was being in the open field, he was literally in the middle between the offensive and defensive linemen.
-
He did not. He was still in the pocket, not the open field.
