Honestly, I am disappointed in Diggs. Not because he can't be upset or maybe doesn't have a right to be upset. But as a captain of the team and a supposed leader, you have a standard of behavior that is expected from you because other players on the team are looking at you and taking notes and will follow suit. Being upset is perfectly fine. His actions and behavior stemming from him being upset is the problem, and that is 100% within his control.
Dealing with something similar with my daughter right now where she gets really upset at little things and screams and stomps her foot in her room. She is a kid, we are teaching her that it's fine to be upset but it's not fine to act that way because of it and there are healthier ways to deal with it. She has improved quite a bit, but it has been a process.
Diggs is 30. As he once famously told Josh Allen - "What's your excuse now?"
And if all of this was such a big issue why has it taken 5+ months for the parties to come together and talk it out so that it has been festering for this long?
As someone very wise once told me and I have always remembered this - "When things are good between two people, time and distance helps create stronger bonds and better feelings, when things are bad between two people, time and distance allows things to fester like an open wound and become much worse."
This should have been sorted out a week or two after the season once cooler heads prevailed.
