  1. That's how KC does it. However their DC gets the most out of his talent in big games unlike Frazier who seems to do that until we play a really good offense, then he gets exposed.
  2. I doubt that will be one of the demand made of him. In fact I know it won't. That's what I am saying. If they are going to continue running this scheme they need to focus on the offense. They simply need to outscore teams in the playoffs.
  3. It's a scheme issue IMO. They give up way too much when they try and take something away. It makes sense because year to year it is much easier to stay consistently good offensively than it is defensively. This has been studied. Much higher correlation year to year with good offenses versus good defenses. So if they are going to not be good when they play good offensive teams then they need to outscore them.
  4. I just answered why. You must never have had to endure a significantly rough stretch and then had to continuously perform under it if you don't understand how this happens. At some point doing it over and over again with no breaks or downtime it just wears on you mentally and emotionally which then becomes physically. The answer is, it's simple. Football players are human beings not robots
  5. If I was Beane I would sink the majority of resources into the offense. We've seen the defense get smoked in the playoffs all 3 years in the losses with all the picks and All-Pro players. If they can't stop anyone when it counts then they damn sure better make sure they can protect Allen, have WRs that get open other than Diggs and let the offense go toe to toe...
  6. Didn't see one so I will start it... 49ers CBs playing aggressive against the Cowboys talent. Bills should have tried that a little more often
  7. Based on what? A healthy Mahomes hasn't been able to beat Burrow. Now a severely hobbled one is going to?
  8. Not even close. Marvin Lewis lost in the first round every year for like 8 or 9 straight years McD only lost in the first round his first season.
  9. I was afraid they might look like this. I didn't want to say anything because people would have likely yelled at me for jinxing them, but even last week...they had to expend way more energy than they should have to beat a Dolphin team with their 3rd string QB. Just think the tank was on E and there was nothing left to give and even with everything on the line they just couldn't muster anything else
  10. It's taken me a while but our scheme just basically relies on Allen to be a superhero too much. Basically if he is off, or the other team has a great scheme against him, we have a hard time consistently playing well on offense. Sure we will get our plays because Allen is still Allen. But it's got to the point that we need to stop taking that for granted and get him some help. It's like when you have a great worker who can make up for 3 people being out by piling more work on him. Sure...that works for a while but then you eventually burn that worker out and when something comes up that needs all his attention other areas start failing since he can't bail them out. I guess what I am saying is we need more answers on offense that don't include Josh Allen being an alien, because our offense relies on that more than any other in the NFL.
  11. The difference is Beane is much better at cap management than most GMs are. That was his job as an assistant GM in Carolina.
  12. DaQuan would have helped a lot on the runs to set up 3rd and longers but with how soft they played coverage wise it wouldn't have likely mattered.
  13. Agreed...schematically they allow too much to try and take something away and against really good teams in the playoffs it's able to be exposed too frequently.
  14. The salary cap isn't real and they could easily free up space with some restructures
  15. DaQuan's loss was massive. He was a huge reason they led the NFL in stuffs this year.
  16. I just think they were spent. They looked spent. They looked flat and they looked like the tank was on E. People may say otherwise but based on the accumulation of things week after week to overcome, at some point you just have nothing left to give. I can't be mad at them. They went thru so much this year, probably more than any team in history when you look at everything combined. Hamlin is OK, that's good enough for me. They need to sort things out, figure out what they are going to do and come up with ways to overcome their shortcomings which look far bigger than they did at the start of the season right now.
  17. No...look at some of the results he fielded with Prime Brees. He won one SB but then underachieved a lot.
  18. The problem is other team's D might not play as well during the season but steps up in the postseason while ours plays well during the year but then comes up small in the postseason.
  19. Agrees...for the amount of money and picks we have spent on the DLine they came up very very short today against a garbage OLine. Miller and Jones being out today hurt but that wasn't going to make that big of a difference today.
