  1. Typically they have players grouped and will take the best player of that group. That takes into account needs, positional value/scheme, players likely to need replacing soon, etc. It's impossible to know BPA like this because each team values certain things to varying degrees in players. Some teams want only scheme fits, others will take a player who may not have ever played their scheme but they seem he has traits they believe will allow him to transition into what they need him to do and others simply are so arrogant they think they can coach any player to work in their scheme and just take whoever is the best in their minds without much regard to how they actually will fit(oversimplifying but mostly it's the same...they think the player fits way better than they actually do based on over aggressive projections). Also we have no idea what teams have players off the boards due to medical concerns or other issues. Each team doctor views those differently. So while this is a valiant effort, it doesn't make a lot of sense because every team and scheme will value a player differently and it lacks any nuance when it comes to this and kind of goes for a one size fits all approach.
  2. At this time of year if they are talking they are lying.
  3. F**k no. This has to be for those dipsh**s in the Midwest who think Ranch on wings is the move. Newsflash, it's not.
  4. Just announced on WGR...Cook trying to turn it up! Maybe that is how many TDs he wants to score in a game?
  5. Unfortunately this isn't 1988 anymore and the game has changed tremendously.
  6. Way too much Madden playing to think this would happen in real life.
  7. Because we don't need a top 5 defense, merely one that is near the middle of the NFL.
  8. Said it is unsustainable the way he is playing football and being wreckless at times. Says history has shown it and says they talk about it all the time but the message doesn't seem to have gotten through enough and says it HAS to change next year. Brought it up multiple times during the interview apparently. Pretty strong message being sent from McD. Should make all the people freaking out about Allen running so much happy... Battista: McDermott 'louder than ever' in his emphasis on Josh Allen needing to slide https://www.nfl.com/videos/battista-mcdermott-louder-than-ever-in-his-emphasis-on-josh-allen-needing-to-sli
  9. It's not about "helping" anyone. There are very clearly defined rules to this, no real surprises why a team does or doesn't get comp picks. It's not like they just randomly assign these to teams. I'm simply of the opinion there should not be any comp picks. There was a time they helped balance things now they are simply unnecessary and teams game the system.
  10. I knew that already from the first time they talked about it.
  11. Teams often times try to force players into their system that are not good scheme fits thinking they can teach them or the player can adjust to what they want them to do. Sometimes it works other times it doesn't. How he played in a different scheme doesn't mean much as we don't know what they asked him to do. It only matters how he fits and plays in our scheme, not anyone else's. We will find that out soon enough.
  12. I think we should look at B'Shawn and C'Shawn before making a decision.
  13. That's because nobody bothers creating viruses for Mac's since the overwhelming majority of computers are PC based. There is nothing inherent about Mac's that protect them other than lack of interest from people who create viruses. In the grand scheme of things Mac's are irrelevant.
  14. The cap exists so what's the point of having a wish list not taking it into account?
  15. Not if they get Arizona to keep some of the money. Obviously that would increase the cost to the Bills.
  16. Someone has a lot of money to burn
  17. 1000 yard seasons were the measuring stick when they played 14 games...then it went to 16 and it stayed the same, now 17 where it's almost meaningless.
  18. You have no idea that's true. It's all speculation. This doesn't mean we are moving backwards, we could very well be better than last year in the playoffs, the only place it matters anymore.
  19. I don't even understand why this is a thing anymore. There is no reason to hand out comp picks for losing FAs. It would be one thing if it were like MLB with the haves and have nots due to no salary cap, but the NFL basically covers all player salaries with TV contract money so it's up to the individual teams to decide whether they want to keep a player or not. Choosing not to keep a player shouldn't have anything to do with trying to get a comp pick. Since all teams are on more or less equal footing(minus signing bonus money), it would all balance out eventually. It's outlived whatever purpose it served at one point.
  20. It also helped the 3 teams in their division over that time frame were mostly inept with no QBs
