Bills sign Latavius Murray to a one-year deal
Big Turk replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Taiwan Jones was on the active roster and was an RB so perhaps they are making concessions somewhere -
Davis. He is still a big part of the offense and I think of his ankles stay healthy should have a big season.

It gives them versatility and ways to attack teams differently to expose what they are weak at. Who is active will likely be gameday specific in regards to how they plan on attacking the team. Basically it gives the Bills a lot more options, which is what is seems lile they have been focused on doing offensively this off-season. Bringing lots of guys in with different skills sets to give more options and ways of attacking teams. -

Love it...adding varied skill sets all over the roster... -
Maybe they thought he was an AHole for the way he treated his family and that was his payback?
-
Oh no! That is so terrible and unfortunately an all too common occurrence... Prayers to him and his family.

Yeah the ball gets caught up in the wind and gets driven backwards

I think the "problem" has been vastly overblown by many posters here. Beane mentioned that Davis took a while coming back from the high ankle sprain to where he felt comfortable pushing off of it on certain routes and that hampered him more than he let on. IMO without that he likely has over 1000 yards receiving. Bills fans seem to view this as a much bigger issue than Bills GM or coaches do.

Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
Big Turk replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills don't plan on using him as a blocker, but he can chip and be a receiving target out a variety of formations and line up in different places to help force coverage mismatches. IMO, if Kincaid is as good as they say he is as a receiver, he will simply box out smaller CBs and safeties and run away from LBs. His basketball skills should help quite a bit in terms of body positioning on those type of plays. -
Until they have to pony up to make Burrow the highest paid player in NFL history and lose Higgins, Boyd and Mixon. Offense gonna look a lot different then.

I think it shows the Bills were not mentally right going into the playoffs. Or they let off the gas the week before and started trying to blow them out instead of just coasting to victory. Allen started pushing the ball every chance he got even when they were up big and it was his turnovers that allowed them back in the game. If the Bills simply decided to reign the offense in a little and cruise to victory, they would have won by 3 scores. Perhaps it showed an arrogance that they shouldn't have had at a time when they didn't need it. They were trying to win the game 55-0 instead of 31-10.

Worst on D maybe, although it will be interesting to see how Hyde without Edmunds compares to Edmunds without Hyde...it may actually be a wash which could surprise some.

No the scheme would be the same. The philosophy could be completely different.
-
The Pats mostly dominated because their division was so weak it was like an auto win for them every year and they had Brady and a defensive scheme that frustrated other offenses in the playoffs. They played a LOT of close games in the playoffs that could have went either way, rarely blowing teams out. And they definitely got some luck along the way too...Tuck Rule anyone? They should have lost that game.
-
McD seemed to indicate he would be more aggressive in some situations. The scheme is the same but we don't know about the philosophy yet. A more aggressive philosophy in key situations could make the scheme look different due to differing results. We won't know that until mid season at least. They lost a total of 3 games in the regular season by 8 points. Not sure what you are trying to get at. Seems like a very very weak argument and more like grasping at straws, IMO. You could make that argument with any team really...the Chiefs lost to the Colts for God Sakes.

And the Bills typically were not good in the first quarter but were much improved as the game went on on defense, so that doesn't really mean much either. Bills also marched down the field on the Bengals too, it wasn't like they stopped us either in the first game. It's a single game really. The Bills were not mentally right in that playoff game. You are working OT to try and make a large case for something that doesn't really exist.

Lions wasted the 12th pick on an RB they could have traded down at least 10 spots for and picked up another valuable pick for and still drafted him if they wanted. Then they overdrafted Campbell where they could have done the same thing. They severely mismanaged their assets meaning they had the chance to get a couple of 3rd round picks at least in addition to those players most likely and didn't.

Probably another 2-3 years at least. Has shown no sign of slowing down... Think we are going to continue to see athletes extending their prime years later and later into their careers as they continue to focus on taking care of their bodies through proper nutrition, proper rest and recovery, new sports science that helps them and teams prevent overtraining and injuries, proper workouts and medical advances that repair their bodies better and better. More athletes than ever before hire personal chefs for their nutrition, have pods for their recovery, ice baths, etc etc down the long list of things they do to keep themselves in peak condition as long as possible. They have begun treating their off field regimen with as much importance as their on field regimen and that has not always been the case. Athletes near their peak into their mid 30s or possibly even late 30s in rare cases will start to become the norm rather than the exception, IMO.

Woo? Maybe he got stuck in the 36 chambers in Shaolin.

The Bengals game was an aberration, IMO. Bills need to either outscore teams or limit their effectiveness scoring in the playoffs. Unless McD has some new wrinkles or calls the game differently, it doesn't appear we will limit teams scoring, at least not the elite offensive teams, so we will have to outscore them, which we 100% are capable of doing. I think we have done a very good job at having a lot more answers, getting players that fit into different roles and getting better at protecting Allen. We have become much more diversified by the looks of the additions. I think Kincaid gives us that "X-Factor" piece that we have been missing where no matter what the defense decides to try and do they are going to be wrong and it's going to be a situation of how do you want to die, quickly or slowly? I think this offense can reach a whole new level this year and that should be a very scary thought for the rest of the NFL.

Bills Sign UDFA 6’6 WR Shavers (Reportedly 3 year deal)

Or people like you don't understand football well enough to even make the argument worthwhile because you clearly demonstrate it with comments like you just made. One or the other Yeah exactly. People even talking about him as a TE in the traditional sense are completely off-base. He is a pass catching weapon that will be moved around the formation like a chess piece to help dictate mismatches. Basically no matter what the defense does now it's going to be wrong. That's why he is important. -

Got it...not sure why I thought UDFAs were signed to lesser deals -
Was that the game with the crazy winds and Rich Camarillo punting backwards?
