  1. I think it comes down to 3 things: 1) Elam was mostly a man corner and perhaps does not have a good enough grasp of how the Bills pass off defenders in some of their zone concepts...it can be a complicated dance they do where everyone has to be on the same page or else one wrong "pass off" can lead to a busted coverage and wide open player for 6. 2) This leads to the coaches not trusting Elam to be in the right position on the field or make the right decision. Perhaps he also doesn't know how to sit in his zone properly and is out of position to make plays. 3) Elam has a tendency to get called for holding, illegal contact and PI quite a bit seemingly...nothing worse than giving the offense a free 1st down on a 3rd and 15 because you are holding your guy on a 7 yard pass pattern that wouldn't have even been a first down anyway. I remember hearing several times in training camp about Diggs getting in his face due to excessive holding he was doing on a play.
  2. The fumble the Bills recovered on Mostert's 2nd fumble was setup by Bernard...he came flying in and forced Mostert to cut back into the D by exploding into the backfield through a gap and then Milano hit him a split second after and caused the ball to come out...but Bernard made that play.
  3. One big difference between McD and Frazier I have noticed this year is that the Bills don't play softer on D when they get big leads until the game is well in hand mid 4th quarter...they still are attacking. Likely why we are seeing the Bills blowing the doors off teams instead of watching them build huge leads only to see the other team mount comebacks in the 2nd half like last year and make the games way closer than they should have been. That soft as a stick of butter in the microwave coverage Frazier liked to employ used to get picked apart and lead to easy scores for other teams too often last year...not this year. There is no easy drive against this team. When the Bills get the lead it's turning into a 4th quarter rest for the starters most games.
  4. No surprise since Kyle has told Josh repeatedly that Knox is his favorite player

  6. One of McDermott's principles is to always stay "Humble and Hungry"...
  7. Torrance could be a pro bowl guard this year if he continues his improvement...dude is so good it's ridiculous.
  8. Nobody needed an MRI to know this was going to be the result...all you needed was to see Tre's reaction
  9. It's actually mostly irrelevant. This is people trying to make logical assumptions and then find evidence to support that instead of actually just looking at what the evidence is without a biased notion. Similar to why saturated fats have gotten a bum rap for 60 years from the first nonsensical study that pre-determined what they wanted to show and then skewed the study to do just that.
  10. Rex Ryan said as much that whether you can run the ball or not makes no difference in terms of the success of play action because it causes a split second hesitation for the players to locate the ball and then they have to make a decision on what to do. That hesitation is going to happen no matter what and that is enough time for the offense to create separation or give Allen a little extra time to attack deep.
  11. Dolphins did OK against the run except for that one run Murray popped for big yards. Some days, you are not going to have as much success as others running the ball, that's just the way it goes. Plus the Bills were scoring quickly on a lot of drives and the short passing game was humming so that played a role also.
  12. Who cares...coming off an Achilles injury he will be a shell of his former self for a while...every dropback will cause him to have to plant on that leg.
  13. He played very well late in the year last year. Yeah that looked like a 25 arm strength Super Tecmo Bowl Throw from Jones that just hung up there forever 😂
  14. Sometimes you watch the ball on those out routes across the field and think the DB has a chance to make a play on the ball but then you see how fast the ball gets there and the DB is still nowhere near the Bills player...that's when you realize how special his arm strength is compared to virtually everyone else.
  15. Well...when you have a defensive player like Khalil Mack that gets 6 sacks in a game yesterday, it makes it a little easier to justify going for it...
  16. They will be fine without Tre...Elam is going to surprise a lot of people I bet when he gets his chance.
  17. Perhaps the jets game this year was a turning point for him like Mahomes had where he finally stopped trying to throw deep and think his arm could bail him out of situations instead of taking the easy plays like he usually does now...although last night wasn't a great example.
  18. Yup, but he also wants to go into business and own teams and do other things as well...
  19. Allen is completing 75% of his passes...that's ridiculous. If he continues playing like this, I don't see how the Bills don't score 30 every game, they will be unstoppable.
  20. The Dolphins are still Little Brother. Have been since the 90s and Kelly-Marino. Sometimes they think they can take on Big Bro cause they kicked their little friends asses, but the Big Bro puts them in a headlock and gives them a nougie and makes them yell "Uncle" before laughing at them and shoving them away and telling them to "Go play with your friends". All that motion and misdirection works far better against undisciplined and undetailed defenses that are not fundamentally sounds far better than it works against a defense like ours that might be the most fundamentally sound in the entire NFL. We simply don't go for it. This forces Tua to play to his weakness which is having to play off script and having to hold the ball because his first and sometimes second reads are taken away. They will still make some plays and score some points because they have a ton of speed and talent, but they aren't putting up 70 or anything close to it. That's the difference between Tua and Allen...when Tua can make the easy play and his first read is there and wide open, he is awesome. When it's not...he can struggle a bit. Allen excels at the off-script AND can still kill you when the easy stuff is there too, sometimes he just doesn't want to take it...but it seems like he has finally decided to take it...maybe Steinfeld told him no post game action if he plays hero ball, because he has made a concerted effort to play smart, yet still aggressive football and it's really paying off...Bills become the first team in NFL history to win 3 consecutive games by 28+ points after losing their first game.
  21. Burrow has been God Awful this year...and I don't think its ALL injury related.
  22. Hill claims he is dead serious about retiring after the 2025 season because he has so many other things he wants to do other than just play football in his life.
