And they kept having him play man, which he has not been good at in the NFL instead of zone which is the preferred defense McD plays which he is very good at. I don't get it...were they hoping he would be like Tre and they would be able to use him to play man more and free up coverage options in other places?

This is interesting...Elam has been a VERY good zone CB when he has played and a bad man CB for the Bills. Which makes it all the more confusing. This goes along with the one breakdown on his film by a NFL film breakdown person who asked early last year if Elam was a zone CB because he looked so natural and was playing coverages perfectly...don't understand how he can't see the field when he excels at what the Bills play predominantly.

Imagine being "afraid" of any team with Josh Allen as your QB. Give me a break.
-
I mean he made a really nice INT against Allen last year...

Raiders fired HC Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler.

Davis loves paying out big contracts to coaches who no longer coach the team -
Did they not defeat KC on a Taron Johnson INT to end the game last year? Did they not take a pick 6 101 yards to the house against Baltimore in the playoffs? Do you remember cursing and swearing at the TV as Johnson ran this back all the way as the rest of us(except your friend @Airseven ) were jumping up and down screaming our heads off in jubilation? Seems like people have very selective memories...usually the posters who pretend to be Bills fans but are actually trolls.

3rd most interceptions in the NFL over the past 3 seasons with 10? "Douglas has 10 interceptions over the last three seasons and has allowed a 59.8% completion percentage as the nearest defender, per Next Gen Stats. His experience and success in zone coverage will help. Eight of those interceptions came in zone and he allowed 57% of passes to be completed in zone coverage as the nearest defender." Seems pretty solid to me.

Next Gen stats also says Douglas has been excellent and so do people who break down film, so this isn't simply going on one site.
-
Also made a hell of a play against the Bills last year to pick off Allen.

Sal's take Cover 1 coming up at 7:30pm tonight with a breakdown on the trade and their thoughts. Sneak peek at their thoughts:

Douglas is basically like Diggs personality on the D side of the ball...he is going to fit in so well here.
-
Yup...get rid of the guy who is sick and tired of losing so they can have players that just accept it and are there to collect a paycheck. That is going to help them get out of it all right.
-
Nice try...as usual the resident fake Bills fan/actual Fins fan tries to chime in with a silly take. About par for the course. Maybe the Bills should try to "cash in" on Matt Milano.

Oh you mean like this?

Ask Naughty By Nature how East Orange is...one of the worst ghettos in the country up there with East Saint Louis. When I went to Saint Louis University and we went over into East Saint Louis on alcohol runs, the rule was you better get your ass out of there before the sun goes down.
-
Pretty much what I said...in a room full of "Dawgs", he fits like a glove. Perhaps they plan on Douglas trying to mentor him as well?
-
Apparently the Steelers made a significant offer and it was rejected.
-
Don't forget Skyy Moore dropping perfectly thrown passes in the endzone on 4th down.
-
They are in the minority. Most fans and media/beat reporters from the Packers are pissed
-
Probably not.

Yeah...Alexander is a loud mouthed punk who talks and talks and then deflects his failures and doesn't take accountability. Douglas is the opposite of that.
-
Because you count the number of teams he played on instead of how he is playing? Clearly the Packers though he was good since they gave him a pretty good contract to come there. What's next, going to say Geno Smith sucks because he took 10 years to get another starting job?
-
That doesn't Gibe with PFF's coverage grade ranking him 12th. I wonder if being the closest defender even playing zone counts as being targeted.
