Seems to be a new strategy the last few years with older players where they wait until mid season and then sign with a contender to try and win a SB rather than go to a crap team for the whole year in FA.

Played very very well in Philly last year.
-
This cannot be taught....pure instinct, high level recognition and then reaction...brilliant play....

He is not a pass rusher, this dude is a run clogger that will allow Oliver and the backers to stay clean.

Hell yes!! Huge body in the middle that can clog up running lanes!! This is the player I wanted them to get...will give us what we are missing from DaQuan against the run at least, not as much pass rush upside but whatever, he can off the field on 3rd downs... Elam to IR was kinda foreshadowed by Beane yesterday

Week 9, Bills v. Bengals - Predict the Score
Big Turk replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think this game all comes down to how well Dorsey and Allen can deal with the defensive gameplan from Cincy and if they figure out answers for their pressure looks. Last year especially in the playoffs, they had no real answers. If that happens again, they can't win. I would expect they do tho...or at least enough answers that they give the Bengals problems on defense. Bengals are one of those teams that you think they should score more than they do, and that will ultimately come back to haunt them in this game, settling for a FG one too many times. Bills 27 Bengals 23 -
Pretty rare when virtually all of the trading teams fans and media react very negatively towards a move...you'd think there would be a few who liked the move but pretty much all been negative and in some cases EXTREMELY negative.

Josh Allen - DNP Wednesday Practice Designation
Big Turk replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Might be dealing with this until the bye, but unless he injures it further, seems like it is just something that doesn't really effect his ability to play and do things, just don't want to have him use it more than he has to and want to let it rest as much as possible. -
Jason Garrett effusive about Josh Allen...says "I don't like him, I LOVE HIM" Compares him to Secretariat where you just have to get him in the gate before he wins by 33 lengths 😂

Fun story, my parents owned a double plot of land in Cape Coral that was on a canal with gulf access and we went down to check it out back in the late 80s or early 90s when I was a young teenager...well, it was in a development where there were barely any street signs and only a few houses at that time, so we stopped at the office at the front of the development and told them we wanted to check out the property we owned and the lady said "sure, you can follow me back there because it's easier if I just take you since there are no signs up". So we follow her back and are out looking around and I look out in the canal and ask the lady "What's that floating log looking thing out there?" and she goes "Oh, honey, you want to step back a little bit, that's a gator, you don't want to get to close to that..." I ran back in the car and locked the door and wouldn't get out, and as we were leaving I told my parents that if they wanted to build a house there they could feel free but I was not ever coming to visit them. 😂 Never did build a house but sold it for a small fortune right before the housing bust in 2007-2008.

Yeah, but I don't have to keep my head on a swivel when I am outdoors looking for gators who may be randomly in the area. 😂 Or have to freak out every time I open my door because there might be a flying cockroach that gets in and causes an infestation. 😂

It started snowing in WNY about 15 minutes after I got done trick or treating...some places like Hamburg got almost 5 inches...got about 1.5-2 inches in the eastern burbs.

Also we have seen players come back from pec tears even when they had surgery much faster than expected...JJ Watt returned to practice 8 weeks after surgery https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28365547/texans-jj-watt-returning-practice-pectoral-muscle-tear

Personally I would rather see Linval Joseph, he would fill DaQuan's role better IMHO
-
Perhaps the injury wasn't as bad as feared? Seems strange if there was no real ligament damage other than an MCL Sprain that he would be out for an entire season with a broken leg if it happened in week 5.

Guess those Pokeman cards weren't working out as well as he thought...
-
I posted it, but go back and watch the Baltimore game from last year and highlights and he was excellent in zone coverage in that game.
-
No, I am basing that on his play and film breakdown of him in zone.
-
He has been relatively good in zone that's the crazy part. I mean that can't be why he has sucked tho can it? Maybe that is like 5% of it but if he is out there running around and playing I can't imagine it could be a huge factor...

Seattle's secondary is pretty good...2 really good CB's, one of them with crazy sub 4.3 speed in Wooten(who they got in the 5th round in the same draft as Elam)
-
Thought Benford had a strong game against the Bucs for the most part. Hmm..interesting...perhaps this is pat of the reason why Elam hasn't been playing well?
