  1. Packers didn't seem to know where to play him...if I remember correctly he started as a CB and then went to Safety, played some Nickel CB and was rotating like a swiss army knife for them for a while. Bills made him strictly a safety and it worked out well for all involved.
  2. Philadelphia has struggled on offense much more than last year for most of the year even tho they are 9-1. Almost lost to the Commanders twice and they put up 31 points on the Eagles in both games. Both QB's threw INT's in last nights game that would have had the internet on fire if Allen had thrown them as terrible INTs and signs that he is playing Hero Ball far too much. Both Hurts and Mahomes have 9 INTs on the year and each have played 1 less game than Allen. DVOA shows we are a better team than the Eagles, ranking 5th versus their 10th. Better on both Offense and Defense according to DVOA than the Eagles are.
  3. No...this is a Fins fan who comes here as a wolf in sheeps clothing and you all keep falling for his trolling and I keep calling him out for it. There is no game that is "unwinnable" with Josh Allen as QB. He could literally take over a game and become unstoppable and nothing else would matter. I mean according to some people here this is like the Kay Stephenson era Bills playing the 85 Bears. Give me a break.
  4. Uh..no it hasn't. Not even close...whoever has played the NFC South has had the easiest schedule. Yes, because football is played like that. You could argue this for every team in the NFL in some way form or fashion. They put up the most offensive yards and points against that team this year. The offense took a little while to get in rhythm but they were moving the ball well on that defense.
  5. More like classic case of him actually being a Fins fan in disguise and pretending to be a Bills fan and trolling us every chance he gets. Chiefs defense is nasty...I still don't know how they blew that game...Eagles only had 240 yards of total offense.
  6. Part of the reason why 2020 hasn't happened again offensively is because the league has adjusted to teams defensively and are forcing long drives far more than they did back then. Points are down over 3 points per team on average, meaning over 6 points per game, yards are down, passing is down. Teams are not going to just let you throw the ball over their heads every play anymore. Defenses have improved in terms of schemes and player types to defend the pass happy attacks. McD is partially right...running the ball well WILL open up more passing windows for the Bills to throw into as well as potentially opening up deep shots when the defense gets tired of giving up 5-6-7 yards a play. There needs to be a balance and what that balance is changes every game...this week we ran more than we passed and it worked out well. Most weeks that won't happen, but we can't have 45 passes and 15 runs and think that is going to work most games. Defenses have become too good at defending you if you become one dimensional now and ESPECIALLY if it's from your own doing not because they were stopping your run game. IMO, when the Bills are at their best offensively, teams are off balance because they are doing both and doing both well...along with sprinkling in some designed runs for Allen. When the Bills willingly limit themselves by becoming too pass happy and don't use any designed runs they are basically helping the defenses and making it easy for them.
  7. Imagine playing a game with Josh Allen as your QB and thinking you don't have a chance. Dude, go play hopscotch, professional sports clearly is too much for you to deal with mentally. Better yet...go back to FinsHeaven and play with your Fin fans.
  8. Defenses have been clawing back quite a bit this year in terms of yards and points allowed per game. Scoring peaked in 2020 and has been falling ever since...2020 was the highest scoring season in NFL history(24.8 points), this year is tied for 28th currently(21.7 points). These are per team averages so scoring in a game is down over 6 points on average from 2020. Yards gained again peaked in 2020 with teams averaging 359 yards, most in NFL history, this year we are 17th at 331.1 yards per team. Yards per play peaked in 2020 at 5.6 YPP, again highest in NFL history. This year we are at 5.2, the lowest since 2007. Yards passing are slightly up over last year but down over 20 yards from 2020, which surprisingly was only 3rd in NFL history in terms of average yards per game. 2015 and 2016 both had more yards passing per team on average, but only by 2-3 yards. Seems defenses have made adjustments to the pass happy attacks and have gotten better schematically and personnel wise to reeling them in somewhat.
  9. Will be interesting to see if the Bills stick to a more heavy run game going forward...don't expect them to be over 50% like they were against the Jets very often, but there may be something to be said about running more frequently to try and open up the pass game and deep shots from teams bringing more people to the box to try and stop the run.
  10. What?? Not even the Steelers never firing people during the season could save his job...there must have been some behind the scenes stuff going on as well...
  11. In a situation where they are tied, it might be to their advantage to be tied with more than 1 team so Conference Record comes into play 3rd instead of 2nd in the tiebreaking procedures.
  12. Yup...and they essentially shut out the Commanders who put up 31 points against the Eagles in both games they played...what's your point? Held the Fins to 20 after they put up 70 against the Broncos...you can play that game from both sides all day.
  13. Every team in the NFL has some version of this you could say about them on offense or defense. At the end of the day, the numbers are the numbers.
  14. The defense is actually better in terms of yards(314 to 317) and points per game(17.3 to 17.9) than they were last year. 4th in the NFL in scoring defense, 10th in yards(under 12 yards per game away from being top 5). 39 sacks, 2nd in the NFL. They have been far better than most people realize compared to the rest of the NFL and even compared to last year at times. That's with the major injuries, with more players constantly going down in game, etc. Bills D is tied for 4th in points per play at 0.286 with the Steelers(Ravens, SF, KC are the top 3), which is slightly better than they were last year at 0.287. And to further drive this point home...the Bills give up fewer yards per game than the Jets do. This defense is still very good...without the major injuries they would be elite.
  15. Should be a great game to watch. Can't wait!
  16. I think we all are but we should start to see his best football soon once the brace comes off...perhaps after the Bye.
  17. Crazy part is even with all the injuries on D the Bills are allowing less points(17.3 to 17.9) and yards(314 to 317) per game than last year and are 4th in scoring defense in the NFL. Also 1 of only 2 teams to not allow 30 points this year(KC is the other). Getting far better pass rush production in terms of pressures and sacks as well...over 10% McDermott really has kept this unit together and mostly performing very well in comparison to the rest of the NFL.
  18. Tre looked really bad for quite a few games and it wasn't until really this year he started looking back to normal...not sure what you are talking about. He was not good last year at all.
  19. And then what? How would that help have him right for the playoff run? Again, you don't seem to get it...he isn't going to AT ANY POINT just magically come back and be the same player WITHOUT going through 10-12 weeks of slow improvements and not being right. There is no other way to do it...you just have to let him go out and play through it. So wait until after the Bye to start the 10-12 weeks of slow improvements? Makes no sense. Maybe this works in Madden where players come back and automatically are their same self right away, but it doesn't work in real life.
  20. The first longest is obviously Gabe Davis 98 yarder against the Steelers last year on their 1st series after the returner fumbled the opening kickoff. 3rd...I am going to guess Robert Foster against the Jags? I think that was 75 yards if I remember correctly...the Jalen Ramsey "Trash" game. People who say Von is being "rushed" back don't seem to get that it's a normal part of progression from the injury. That's just how it works and why it takes around a year or so from the time they start playing again to get back to their old self. That isn't rushing anyone back and it's not something wrong. That's literally how it works for every player not named Adrian Peterson. If they would have let him play to start the season or to play after they activated him immediately from PUP, then maybe you had a case. IF anything, they have done the opposite of rushing them back. I suggest you understand how the process of a player returning from these type of injuries actually works. They have to play thru it...there is no other way...you cannot simulate game reps in another manner. He is also still wearing a brace that restricts movement and eliminates some of the more freakish things he can usually do.
  21. Mike White looked respectable and had some good games for them...if he can do something similar, you never know...no tape on him which is a plus.
  22. Doubt it makes a difference but they have to try something. Too bad they didn't keep Mike White...at least he looked good for a few games for them.
  23. Also 2nd in the NFL in rushing yards to McCaffery.
  24. Douglas is a perfect scheme fit for the Bills. He will only improve as the year goes on. He is a huge upgrade on both of those players. 3rd in the NFL since 2021 with 12 INT's to only Trevon Diggs and Justin Simmons. He is also tied for 2nd with 17 combined INTs, Forced Fumbles and Fumble Recoveries with Jalen Ramsey and Trevon Diggs. Justin Simmons is #1 with 20. Actual production matters. You are dreaming if you think we are getting that production from either Benford or Jackson. Those two would be lucky to half the INT's as Douglas combined in the next 3 seasons. Incredibly bad take by a normally solid poster.
  25. I would trade all of Floyd's sacks yesterday for him getting off the field in the Broncos game.
