Need a capable backup quarterback next season.
Big Turk replied to margolbe's topic in The Stadium Wall
Key word is "almost". All they got for it was a worse draft pick. They never had a chance to win the SB without Burrow, so what's the point? -

Can we just stop this made up narrative? Literally every other QB in the league has been out the past 2 or 3 years except Allen. Nobody says anything about Lamar and he is injured a lot more and has a very slight frame compared with Allen. Nobody says anything about Hurts and he has missed games in both of the last 2 years. And I don't want to hear any Cam Newton nonsense either. Cams shoulder injury which derailed his career was caused by a car accident not in the field. -
Long conversation between McD and Belichick

You mean like the Browns did with Flacco who was their 4th QB of the season and was chilling at home on the couch? Or how the 49ers played QB roulette for 2-3 years and still went to multiple NFC Championship Games? -
Me too...he has increasingly been making plays more and more even in key situations meaning Allen is starting to really trust him now. I'm perfectly fine with him in the slot. Not sure his year but he had the most yards of separation against man coverage of any WR last year per route run.

I am starting to have the opinion that we have taken the Daboll style offense as far as we can and saw it at it's peak in 2020 when we just were obliterating teams every week it seemed. Maybe we just need to add complimentary pieces back into it to unlock it's potential...we don't really have anyone filling in the John Brown field stretching role at all. That definitely hurts in terms of creating separation and allowing defenses to compress the field somewhat against us. Brown used to be wide open on those comeback routes at least 3-4 times a game. So either we need to upgrade the weapons outside Diggs, although I really like Shakir and what I think will be another big step forward for the Bills in the slot next year, or we need to change offenses to better use what we have because I don't feel we are maximizing the potential of what we currently have offensively.

Bills-Dolphins Week 18 for the Division! SUNDAY NIGHT GAME
Big Turk replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wait til after the season ends. Most times you hear about what players were dealing with then. Nobody is going to bring attention to something so it can be a target for defenders or the NFL as to why he isn't on the injury report. I think it's pretty clear he is fighting thru something. He's already been hurt multiple times this year -
So how are we feeling about Coach McDermott?

To spin off the Bills Mafia song: "Talk is cheap, do it in the playoffs". -
Can we bring the Beasley/Mckenzie role back already?
Big Turk replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shakir is growing into this role I think. -

You can't actually be serious with this nonsense Sherfield gets no separation and drops the ball on the few times he is schemed open. -

Ingram gave Dawkins fits his last matchup...caused a sack/fumble of Allen I believe in Miami last year -
Bernard has been remarkable...cannot wait til Milano comes back next year with him in that D...

The Bills D is ascending at the right time.
Big Turk replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
D has a maddening habit of looking great in one half and not great in the other. Sometimes they start great and fade like in the NE and Philly games. Other times they start out not great and then turn it around at halftime. Why can't they be consistent? Do they really have no adjustments once the other team adjusts to what they are doing initially? -
Three Dolphins Starters Suffer Serious Injuries against Ravens

Sometimes. Sometimes we blow their doors off. Honestly I think they only get amped to play good teams. -

It's not close and I don't think anyone disagrees right now.

I think the Ravens backups are probably good enough to beat the Steelers. -
I said this dude would be a perfect scheme fit for the Bills but not even I could have foreseen the impact he has had.
-
Even if they do, they literally HATE the Steelers, a bitter division rival, so they will be playing as hard as possible to keep them out. Plus it's a home game for them. No different than the Bills destroying the Fins in a meaningless game resting half their players when the Fins could have gotten in the playoffs with a win in 2020...

Bills-Dolphins Week 18 for the Division! SUNDAY NIGHT GAME
Big Turk replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Have the Dolphins ever won a key matchup against the Bills since the Kelly era when both teams were good? Like in the playoffs or situation like this late in the year to decide the AFC East or a win and in scenario for one of the teams? I can't recall them ever having done so. -
Ed Oliver is turning into everything the Bills thought they were drafting with the #9 pick and then some.

Hatin' on the Bills then you way off... Talk is cheap, meet us in the playoffs... -
I have high hopes for him next year...I think he could really make a big jump to 800-900 yards. He definitely has a good skill set that is missing in other WRs.

A good team when playing bad teams.
