For those saying the league has some favorite teams, do any of you think it's because of the coaches on the sidelines? lets be honest,a coach like Marrone, Jauron, and any other recent coaches don't give off a strong personality to the officials, so they have nothing to fear. Do officials want to cross a BB, John Fox, Pete Carroll, Sean Payton, Harbaughs etc? Not really, so those flags may or may not be thrown for that. But on the other note if the Bills could score a )(*()*@_##&()(# touchdown once in awhile, this wouldn't be an issue.

This I agree with. if Whaley refuses to get ride of Marrone, then Whaley is taking the bullet and he must go as well. What's the issue? he drafted a QB that wasn't supposed to start, was supposed to grow and develop behind Kolb and that didn't happen. the OL, how many good LG's were just sitting around waiting to be signed? Not many if any at all. He's made his moves and sticks to his guns on trying to improve the team. Wasn't he the one who pulled off the trade for Hughes? -

I still don't see how people are pegging Whaley as part of the problem. the problems are with Hackett and Marrone. Whaley isn't even on my list of problems with this team. -
Offense is so predictable: Deion Summed it up perfectly.

You've got 10 days until you play again. Please for the love of god, fire Hackett and get someone else in here with some skill as an OC. I know you can't revamp the entire O in 10 days, but give us a playcaller with some creativity and willingness to adjust and try and win. I know people will say the O needs to perform better and that's true, but 7 quarters without a TD, the OC is the boss of the offense, well it's time the boss is held responsible. -
You realize Hogan has been playing decently for a 3rd/4th WR?

NFL Schedulers need to Be Fired
MarkAF43 replied to John in Jax's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How is it the fault of the schedulers that the games turn into blowouts? -

There is something fishy going on with this. Marrone has screwed the pooch with MW. MW should be dressed, he has talent, but yet we're leaving a pretty decent WR on our bench every week for no valid reason. If he had done something that horrible, they would've cut him. Plus, is it common that most teams only dress 4 WRs on gameday? I always thought you should dress at least 5, so does anyone have any insight on this?

Here's a serious question. Would Bills fans and the community be able to handle/contain themselves if this team was successful? We haven't been to the playoffs in 14/15 years, and haven't really done much during that time either, so would this fan base be able to enjoy the ride when the team is good again?

Sorry, can't agree. Making the right calls would've been shooting for a first down when you get the ball at the 15 and then working for your end zone plays. The Chiefs were going to do their best to not give up the TD there, so why not a draw play, a screen? Something to get them moving. Instead, it appeared the Chiefs knew the Bills were going straight for the end zone and weren't playing for anything else. Hackett failed with his playcalling in the red zone. Orton didn't help with his throws, but Hackett deserves the blame for the red zone.

Oh I agree, he's been a monster. I think people here go a bit overboard calling for people to be fired after a loss, and some people let emotion get the best of them. Analysis is fine, but the doom and gloom it's the end of the world feelings seem quite excessive to me.
-
man, it's ok to be upset about a loss, but go home, hug your wife, spend time with your kids, family etc, watch something non football related. I consider myself a huge fan and always have been, but at the end of the day it's a sunday I get to spend at the Ralph with my wife and 70,000 fellow die hard fans. But when we go home, it's time to relax, decompress, and enjoy life. For all of us at the end of the day it's still just a game. It's not the end of the world, be upset for a bit and move on.

When do the phantom calls against us stop??
MarkAF43 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My only call (non call) I don't agree with was the hit on Hogan. He's standing on the white paint, clearly out of bounds when the Chiefs safety launches himself at him. To me, that's as blatant a PF call that should've been made and it wasn't. not saying for sure that it would change the final outcome, but to me it's a clear missed call. -
Sorry, I've lost all faith in Doug. This team has no killer instinct, no leadership from it's head coach and OC. It's time to make a change. Give me a coach with some "intestinal fortitude" (old school wrestling) and a desire and fire to win. I want a coach with some fire and passion, and someone willing to go for the kill when you have a team down. We don't have it. How long are you going to keep up this crusade? This is the 2nd or 3rd thread where your comments have been alomost identical.

I just finished this discussion with a co-worker. KC wasn't going to allow themselves to get beat in the end zone, you had all the time in the world to gain 10 yards and mix up your playbook. In that situation Hackett and Marrone need to be held to the fire for that.

Home Field Disadvantage
MarkAF43 replied to bills_fan_in_raleigh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think I'd question this. If you mean casuals like drunken 20 something's who just want to act like fools I'd say you're 100% correct. Perhaps that is the case. The area around me is always loud and into the game, I shouldn't have generalized my earlier comment. -
Peace. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out. Quitter.
